Whenever a creature you control attacks alone it gains Double Strike EOT.
2) Sedris, the Traitor King

Holy, that a mother. Exalted AND gained doublestrike? 3/4 to boot? Nice, very nice.
2) Kresh
Kinda had a hunch about his one, and its was in the genral alley ( i was thinking 1/1 tokens, but power boost works). Plays well with Devour, and is a 3/3, not to shabby. Black in the cost means no Terror, i would run a single of him.
3) Godsire
Say What? An 8/8, that makes 8/8!?! Vigilance too? Oh i am so playing this. Just have to make sure i find Heralds for it.
Whenever a creature you control attacks alone it gains Double Strike EOT.
Exalted decks have strong potential in there ability to play a threat that pumps your other guys. Just having the three exalted guys spoiled so far would provide a +3/+3 lifelink, doublestrike boost for a lone attacker. This deck could be very sick and crazy. Providing the blue allows for an aggro control deck using counters to control the lategame. Since you have access to U/G you could also play the 2/2 unblockable guy potentially having turns where you hit for 10 damage gaining 10. The biggest setback with the exalted deck is that like slivers it entices you to overextend the board?
Rafiq of the Many- Those are some nice stats 1GWU for a 3/4 is subpar but add exalted which makes it a 4/5 when it's the only attacker and the exalted style double strike ability and you get an alround solid creature. Might see constructed if the exalted deck is good enough.
Kresh the Bloodbraided- Ugly, 2BRG for a 3/3 is massively under the curve and leaves it open to death by inversion/incinerate style removal. It could easily become huge quickly combined with evoke and devour however I don't think that's good enough for 5 mana. It really needed to have a come into play or inbuilt method of sacrificing/destroying creatures.
GodSire- Much worse than I thought possible with such a cool name and picture. 4RGGW for an 8/8 is subpar. The ability to attack and produce an 8/8 each turn is very strong but the lack of trample or alternately shroud really hurts, I can just imagine people finally getting this out only to have it die to terror effects. However that's only in constructed where I hoped for something much better in a 8cc creature requiring 3 colors of mana to play. In limited it is an obviously insane bomb, expensive but if you get it out and your opponent doesn't have or doesn't draw an answer it's only a matter of time until it overpowers them.
Kresh disappointed me greatly. If he was a 4/4 and had trample, I'd have thought of him rather well costed and playable at least in casual. The way he is now-- I don't see him being a legend really. He's just the other side of Hamletback Goliath for 2 mana less and -3/-3... not to mention two colors more.
Rafiq is virually an attacking 8/5 for four mana. Holy cow. Blue and green are utterly unnecessary for him, though... but i'll leave this discussion to the Specter thread.
The others are not very good, although Godsire is Timmy's dream come true.
Rafiq just made exalted.dec a lot more viable. Each Exalted give additional +1 to power if your single attacker also has Double Strike. Rest of the revealed mythics are meh.
In limited, you're pretty much dead if you don't have a Terror effect before it loses summoning sickness. If it puts out even one token, you're probably ****ed. You'll probably need yet another Terror effect and the game is pretty much unwinnable if someone gets multiple of those 8/8s out against you. It's just that brutal.
With this list completed, I think the mythic-haters can take a sigh of relief. While some of these are tournament-caliber, there's nothing that I would consider dominant. When the dust settles, I think only four or so of these will be above $10.

I'm a mathematics postdoc researching evolution and complex systems. Learn about these ideas here!
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
I know all of the Cards on the list except for Sharuum the hegemon. Where is that posted. I did a search for it in the spoiler and did not find anythings.
Anyway, the legends ALL look ridiculous fun for EDH.
As a huge EDH fan, I've been thinking exactly this for some time now. All the legends are absolutely ideal EDH generals: costs in the 3-6 range, three colors allowing strong deck diversity, powerful "build-around-me" abilities that make them excellent choices as your one easy-to-find creature.
I would be shocked to learn that Kenneth Nagel wasn't responsible for any of these legends -- he specifically mentioned a few weeks ago that he had designed some cards with EDH in mind for Alara.
Godsire is pretty flashy. Its a nice option for Dramatic Entrance and certainly a funny target in a Tooth and Nail deck. I wish Godsire were legendary so it could be a general for EDH.
Kresh is nuts. I can't think of any other description for it. The fact that its black makes it immune to Terror/Maw, which is always good. Its a little fragile at 3/3 but there are easy ways to keep it alive. Mogg Fanatic is a good example of emergency food for Kresh. I think Kresh will be run in a variety of decks. Its easier than ever to splash a color with the Shardlands and the Shard fetchs.
So Kresh seems to be a new twist on Keldon Warlord, I suppose...
@caranthir: I have thought they designed this set with EDH in mind also. The "themed" release, or whatever, seems very "Play with these cards and still be able to have enough diversity throughout". With that said, I am really liking Alara. Glad I decided to come back into the game this year
T1 Tricolor Land
T2 Reflecting Pool, Sigiled Paladin.
T3 (Any land), Rhox War Monk, swing for 3 first strike.
T4 Rafique. Swing for 5 Doublestrike Lifelink (Hawt)
T5 Battlegrace Angel, Swing for 6 Double Strike double lifelink (so a possible gain of 24 life).
But simply this would do for sure:
T1: Forst Birds Go
T2: Island or Plains, Rhox War Monk
T3 Rafique Swing for 4 Doublestrike Lifelink
God it would be sweet to pick him up in a draft, just cackle whenever an exalted guy comes along. Yeah Kresh with evoke isn't bad either but he does cost 5...
Joking right?
just put this baby into play and evoke a spitebellows
this is nuts!!
I was thinking the same thing.
Kresh is nuts in RBG with all the Evokers - Spite Bellows, Shriekmaw, Cloud Thresher, Briarhorn.... oh god, someone put a Gift of the Deity on him, stat. I don't care how much it costs, kill everything, lol.
And Rafiq... Jesus, yeah if you can manage a Manaplasm with Tower Above and this guy out, if they can't spot remove him that's pretty much GG, plus any of a hundred other awful things you can abuse him with.
Godsire is amusing, a big super fat for super fat cost that taps to make super fat... not as useable as the other two, but still freaking awesome. There are so many awful hijinks you could manage with any of these critters, but as to what I like more, I'd have to put them in the order I posted - Kresh screams "Kill me now, or you WILL be sorry" and all he needs is for your critters to go to the yard. In RB colors, that's not hard.

All of these highly costed but awesome creatures (like Godsire) make me really glad I stocked up on all those dramatic entrances. I can't wait for my kitchen table time when I drop Godsire in my multiplayer group at the end of turn via dramatic entrance. Then on my turn I'll drop intruder alram and make 8 billion 8/8 beasts. This guy is Timmy maddness! and he lives up to his art.

In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck *********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like to to occur and validate you.

That should help with the Mythics!!! Remember! Keep playing Magic!
Rafiq is godly. I can't believe wizards is printing him. Geeze. He is what the Exalted mechanic needed to be competitive.
Godsire isn't bad either. Attacks and replaces himself. He could see play in re-animator like the other fatty mythics.
Kresh is hard to judge but definitely has potential with the removal available especially with Nameless Inversion.

no, its been a bant ability, and bant has G and U.
rafiq is pretty cool, turns random dudes into machines.
Rafiq just promotes exalted playstyles.
Now playing:
U(B/W)[ALA] Esper Midrange (B/W)U
Previous decks:
G(W/B) [LOR] Treefolk (W/B)G
(W/G) T2 Devoted Druid Mana Ramp (W/G)
In limited, you're pretty much dead if you don't have a Terror effect before it loses summoning sickness. If it puts out even one token, you're probably ****ed. Godsire is elegant...the way vigilance and the tap ability go together, and it works with the flavor of the card too.
Both are constructed playable, albeit Rafiq needs a deck built specifically around it. In Limited, they're doused in rocket sauce.
That sounded gross... >.<
