The forum's new art usage policyshould be familiar to all contestants by now, as should be the new point breakdown...
Bonus: 2/2 - 1 point for each criteria, just like normal. As before, cards that do not meet the round criteria may not earn bonus points. Balance: 10/10 - Judge how the card is balanced; its power level, and whether or not it could make or break a format, i.e. just like it was before. Flavour: 5/5 - Just like it was before but now also incorporates the flavor contribution of render art choice. Creativity: 4/4 - Just like it was before. Quality: 4/4 - Now includes proper use of mana symbols and miscellaneous render issues (such as microtext, art that is clearly not the quality level seen on Magic cards, etc.). Failing to meet the round criteria, or poorly meeting it in the case of a subjective criteria, can earn deductions here.
In addition, we remind all players to remember to SUBMIT a TEXT CARD, even if you have a render. There are people who can't view images in their browsers for a variety of reasons, so this is still mandatory. A -1 penalty to Quality is the price for forgetting the TEXT CARD.
Admittedly, Round Three is still ongoing as of this moment, but in order to expedite things, management has decided to post the Final Round now. All Round Three players are free to post submissions here, but we will only judge those that actually make it past Round Three.
Remember all those times that I advised "that your choices now will affect your available choices in the next round(s)?" Well, here's the ultimate expression of this.
Make a NONHYBRID three-colored card, using a color from each of the previous rounds.
Example:
Round One: B
Round Two: RW
Round Three: GU
Final Round: BRG, GWB, URB, or WUB
Face the Past Bonus Point Condition
You must use both words previously forbidden in Round One. (These words may appear on the card's name, supertype, type, subtype, text or flavor text. Reminder text does not count.)
Choose one - You must use the card type used in Round Two and the rarity used in Round Three; or, you must use the rarity used in Round Two and the card type used in Round Three.
Bonus Points: 1pt - Card uses both words previously forbidden in your Round One submission.
1pt - Card uses the card type used in Round Two and the rarity used in Round Three OR uses the rarity used in Round Two and the card type used in Round Three. (Please indicate which combination you are using.)
ROUND REQUIREMENTS: Can I make a split card? How about a flip card? As long as the card is clearly tricolored (either by mana symbol or by a static characteristic defining-ability), and the card does not have a hybrid mana symbol on its mana cost, you're okay.
Can I use hybrid mana symbols in the text of the card? Sure.
If my card happens to share the three colors of a shard in the upcoming Shards of Alara, does it have to follow the flavor of that particular shard? No. You don't have to if you don't want to.
BONUS POINTS: Can I use different supertypes and/or subtypes? Yes. Only the card type matters this time.
Can I use the card type and rarity of one round? No. You must use an element from each of Rounds Two and Three, as specified above.
PLAYERS: Please provide a link to your Rounds One, Two, and Three cards in your current submission.

When I look at your card, I will ask myself lots of questions, here are a few:
Bonus: 2/2 - "Did you, or did you not?" Balance: 10/10 - I liked Standard and Draft. If you card is a rare, I will be asking my self, "Self, if I was on my way to a tournament, and I was to build a deck to support this card, would I have a reasonable chance of winning?" If the answer is "no," how much would I not want to? If the answer is "yes" how much do I want to? (since it could unbalance the game). Think Cloudthresher
If the card is a uncommon or common, I will be thinking about what pick I would choose it in draft, and whether or not having lots of it would unbalance the draft. (I will also think about it in constructed, but as a support card.)
Think Nameless Inversion.
I will also ask myself if your card would unbalance any of the older formats, but will care less about that answer.
Finally, if its clear your card is a casual card, I will TRY and be understanding, but I am a terrible casual player, and really have no grasp of the format. Flavour: 5/5 - I will probably be more lenient in this category. The main questions will be: "Did I like the Flavour or not?," "How much does the art fit?" But I will try not to be too harsh. Bad art>no art. Think Goblin Offensive flavor. Creativity: 4/4 - "Has this been done before?" "How 'new' is it?" Think Doran, the Siege Tower's ability. Quality: 4/4 - "Does this card (need/should not have) flavour text?" Also, I will be taking off -.25 for every 'small' error I find, and -.5 for every 'large' error. If your card does not work in the current comp rules, expect a -1 here. Make sure you have a text card, and your text card lines up with the render.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 7/10: I feel like returning a creature card from your 'yard is about the same as drawing a card, SO, I do not know why you would draw a card if you can just scry 3 and get a guy back. This card is trying to do to much, and does it in a way confusing way. I feel like you should have just gotten ride of the card drawing, and the charge counters, and just made them pick one of the 2 things right then and there.
I also feel like this card is too week. Its a 'fixed' jitte, but just making jitte not give creatures -1/-1 or making it cost 4 to play and 3 to equip would probably had fixed it enough. This card does lots of little things, which is not worth having to pay so much colored mana to put it into play.
Flavour 2.5/5 :God, I am tired of seeing that same picture. This card is just all over the place. I do not know why this guy's sword has the ability to do so much stuff, or why none of it seems to be green.
Creativity 3/4: Well, I will give you a 3 here. I feel having all of these crazy effects seem to be creative, even if they are generic.
Quality 3/4: wrong kinda boarder -.5. Needs some ";" -.5
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 7/10: So for 3 different colored mana, and sacking a guy I would get: Night's Whisper, Trained Armodon, and shock..... Not that impressive. Especially considering I would have had to sack a 3 color creature for all of that... And there are 6RGB creatures in ALL of magic(well more if you include 5 color and 4 color guys, but you get my point) none of which are really playable. This card will more then likely only do one-two of those things.. I think I would rather just play Darigaaz's Charm, at lest then I would not have to sack a guy. Its only saving grace is that its a instant, so you can sac a guy already dying.
Flavour 5/5 : I liked the flavor. I feel the idea of a creature already about to die making a pack is kinda cool. And I guess the idea is that each color of creature would ask for something different.
Creativity 2/4: I wanted to give this card a lower Creative score, since its clear you just cut text from other cards and pasted it to this one. But since its a few different effects, and not QUITE that, I will give you an average creativity score.
Quality 3.75/4: inner boarder is wrong. Should not be grb. See other 3 color cards from wizards.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 7/10: For one more mana I could get an Ultimatum. I guess this one is reusable, but you should have have to cast a spell that has a cost like that more then once to win the game. Its not like its that bad for 6 mana, should be a big point swing if you have some guys in play, but I think I would just rather what until I have one more G and cast Titanic Ultimatum and win right there. It should have probably at lest been an instant, so I could have gotten it back AND used it before my 1/1's die in combat. (and it would have made it more comparable to Titanic Ultimatum, powerwise))
Flavour 4/5 :Rith was full of hate? The flavor here is average. You found the dragon that fit to the colors you HAD to make a card for, and you made a card for that dragon. Nothing bad or good, just average.
Creativity 3/4: I have not see a card like this before.
Quality 3.75/4: inner boarder is wrong. Should not be grw. See other 3 color cards from wizards.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 4.5/10: No synergy between the last two abilities. I will not get my two cards when I sac a guy... which could have been the point. I think this card would see play, yup. Its like a tinker for creatures. Yes, its like a tinker you could use over and over again. Its even green, so you can use cards like Gaea's blessing to make sure you can keep using the same creatures over and over. Or better yet, just name Darksteel Colossus, which is what you would be getting with tinker anyway. So, you play this card, and sac a guy, get your Akroma, and if they kill it you can just sac it in response and get it again.....
This card is one of the most broken cards I have ever seen in the finals of the FCC, its only redeemable qualities are that it does not do anything until you invest 6 mana, and its 3 colors. Its still a tinker that you can use over and over,
Flavour 4.5/5 : Its flavorful. I feel that its on color, which is hard for these gold cards. I like the picture, even if its not really a magic picture. I just do not know why it makes you draw cards. Other then that I like it, here.
Creativity 2/4: See tinker, or bribery.
Quality 3.75/4: inner boarder is wrong. Should not be gub. See other 3 color cards from wizards.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 9/10: I like it. 3/3 for 3 with a very nice ability. You have to pick if you want to attack or get more mana. I feel it a BIT too powerful for what it does, but its not that powerful. It IS 3 colors but I do feel it probably should be a legend too. The speed you could thin your deck and excel with two of these in play is a bit scary to me, but I am a big fan of deck thinning and excel, so this card is petty much a home run for me.
Flavour 3/5 : I do not feel this card is W or R, just green. I like the reference to Shards, but I feel like this card really could just have been mono green like Lush Growth.
Creativity 2/4: Naya Panorama +creature.
Quality 4/4:
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 6.75/10: Fiery Justice? 3 mana to MAYBE do 5 damage to your opponent, and deal 5 damage to you? Its not even an instant you can use as a surprise blocker. I do not feel that 3 mana and 5 damage is worth it. Maybe if the dragon had lifelink so if he connected you would get your life back. Also when you cast this spell your putting your land at risk. I almost feel like I would just want to play fire and brimstone... and I know I would not play that card.
Flavour 4.5/5 : I really like the flavor text. I feel this card is cool, flavorwise. Using the land to summon a dragon, I just do not know what's white about it.
Creativity 3/4: Its pretty new. Its not that much like the other cards that animate lands, and the idea seems fresh.
Quality 3.75/4: Again, inner boarder is wrong. Should not be grw. See other 3 color cards from wizards.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 6.5/10: Why do I feel like this card does nothing..... This card would give people headaches trying to figure out which triggers go on the stack when. I hear the call of "Judge!" ringing in my head. Most creatures would be blocking creatures of about eual size anyway. This card basically just gains you life if you have a free shot. It REALLY should be an instant, so you can at lest get them off guard when they go to chump block your 6/6 with their 1/1.
I could see this card MAYBE seeing play in limited, but I know I would not play it, because I would not want to have to deal with my opponent calling 'Judge!' every time I cast it. This card is simply too week, its too symmetric for a 3 color card, and could only see play in limited, which means it should not be a rare.
Flavour 4/5 : Seems like it has average flavor. "The Link" seems a bit to over the top for me. Its on color, which, again, is hard for a 3 color card.
Creativity 2/4: Basically Treacherous Link + lifelink
Quality 3.75/4: Again, inner boarder is wrong. Should not be wbr. See other 3 color cards from wizards.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 7.5/10: Super weak, but at lest its an uncommon. I feel it really needs more power, like making it a 3/4 or something. Its ability is also pretty weak, very limited uses. Again, its uncommon so I can't be to mean to it. But even looking at some commons: Waveskimmer Aven It should have been more powerful.
Flavour 3.5/5 : Squished art. I do not know, I feel like it needed a bit more to be an angel. We stopped having weak angels back in Urza's Block. Now angels have to be bigger then this, at lest a 1/5
Creativity 3/4: A blocking exalted ability kinda thing? Not to bad here.
Quality 4/4: Good!
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 9/10: A common?! Not bad. I like this card as a common. Its simple and not too bad for constructed. I could even see you countering one of your own spells for the win. I think this card is solid. Maybe a bit on the weak side, but not to much. 3cc counterspells make me sad, but that's what we get now-a-days, so I can't take it out on you.
Flavour 4.5/5 : Seems good to me. Everything is on color, which again is hard for a 3 color card. I like the art and the flavor text, it just is missing something for that 5.
Creativity 2.5/4: Its not that creative, we have seen a lot of cards like it over the years. I will give you a bit over average because I feel its creativity is... well a bit over average.
Quality 4/4: The number of people with the wrong kind of boarder is making me sad, but ty for not making me sad that way, just with your 3cc counterspell.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 6.5/10: Ok.... this card leaves me with a lot of questions.. 1) Why is it not an instant? You do not die on your own turn that often.(and it would just make them hang back with the Marsh Vipers, since they will know its in effect) 2) Why do we care about poison counters? 3) Why is it black?
This card is about as useful as a fog. They will just not swing in with there guys. If your worried about poison, they will just not give you poison counter number 10 on that turn,(or mill you to death) so you will not even lose all your poison counters(since it will not trigger).
Lets be honest here, this card is strictly worst than Angel's Grace, in the non-poison non-milling environment we have in every level of magic.(and its not like life lose is even that common) I am not sure why you felt that Angel's Grace was so busted you needed to make it 3 mana and a sorcery.
Flavour 3/5 : See #3 above.
Creativity 2/4: Its an angel's grace that stops you from dying in ways that your not going to die in anyway. Just use a Gaea's blessing and Leeches.
Quality 4/4: Sure.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 7/10: "When a creature comes into play play 2, if you do you have a 50/50 to draw a card" Its not THAT bad since you do not have to play 2 more than once a turn. But for 3 mana of different colors I do not know why you felt the need to make it symmetric. I do not know how many wru decks cast that many creatures anyway. Chances are you would help out the other guy playing agro, more than you would yourself. Your playing control colors, he is probably playing G. I do not like this card at uncommon, where in draft your opponent WILL be playing lots and lots of guys, and he will get to use it before you can. I do not think that card is playable.
Flavour 3.5/5 : The favor text confuses me. Other than thank I think this card is average flavor. I do like its name, and its got a fun picture.
Creativity 3/4: Feels new.
Quality 3/4: -1 this card does not work. You need to be a creature or a tribal to have creature types. You needed to give it tribal AND changeling.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 6.75/10: I feel like Plagiarize might be a better card. At lest it works on you too, if you want to do a little searching. Works well with dredge decks, but they do not want to cast a 3 mana spell. I do not know how you could be casting this spell AND a draw spell on the same turn, and I know you would not want to tap out on your upkeep to get this effect instead of a draw. So we are back to Plagiarize being a better card, and I am not a big fan of Plagiarize.
Flavour 3/5 : Another overused picture. If your using it for your own draw, its not faulty at all. I do not really like the name because you can use it on yourself. Also, why is this card G? Its not even that B.
Creativity 3.5/4: Above average. Its like Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar, kinda... not really, ok your getting a 3.5
Quality 4/4: Good
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 7/10: Seems like a silly combat trick. It does lots of really great things, but only if your 3/3 lives. I do not know what to make of this card really. You would swing in with a first strike guy, stack damage, use this, make him bigger and scry and hurt everyone. I feel like you would be casting it on THIER guy, and at that point SnakeForm is just better. If you use it on their guy, they will scry. By the time you can cast a 3 mana spell, all your guys should be 3/4's or larger anyway. A 3/3 will most likely die in combat, making bodylink more or less useless. Scrying 3 is not that good, and deathlink is symmetric.. soo.... yeah....
Flavour 3/5 : A 3/3 is "Embodiment of Grandeur?" Nope, sorry, 5/X's only nowadays for that kinda thing. "There is no more need to search for an unfulfilled promise; your new shape is proven true. For now.” Seem contradictory. IF you only going to be this things for a turn, your probably DO need to look for more promises. And if you just got the "new" shape, how can it be proven true? Maybe the flavor is supposed to be all Zen......
Creativity 3.5/4: Its creative, I will give you that. Almost prefect here, but not perfect enough.
Quality 4/4: Seems good.
Bonus: 2/2
Balance 8/10: Not too bad. Not a bad body, not a bad ability. I do feel like this guy could have had a cc of 3, and you would have been ok. His ability balances itself with the life lose. So over all I feel like he could have cost less to cast. Still a good card. Probably would have been prefect at uncommon, balance wise; but at rare its a bit weak.
Flavour 5/5 : I like the flavor. I do not know what else I can say, it sings to me like the screaming of souls on the wind at midnight.
Creativity 3/4: Feels new enough for a 3.
Quality 3.75/4:Again, inner boarder is wrong. Should not be gbu. See other 3 color cards from wizards.

Bonuses: 2/2 – Self-explanatory. Note that failure to meet the round criteria will result in not getting the bonus points.
Balance: 10/10 – Also self-explanatory.
10 - The card is both well-costed and constructed playable, or if it just doesn't quite cut the mustard in constructed by nature of the design (i.e., it's a big Timmy card or a niche Johnny card) but couldn't possibly be better balanced.
9 - The card is really well-costed but is just a little too strong or a little too weak.
8 - The card is reasonably well-costed but clearly has room for improvement or is way too expensive or narrow to be playable.
7 - The card is not terrible but is clearly over or under the curve, or is well-balanced on its own but fairly easily breaks in combination with another card.
6 - The card is severely over or underpowered, or horribly broken in combination with another card.
5 - Borderline broken or hugely overcosted.
4 - Obviously broken or utterly useless.
1-3 - So broken or trashy it's obvious no thought went into it whatsoever.
0 – There’s a fatal flaw.
Flavour: 5/5 - Does it fit in the colour pie? Does the name make sense? Does flavour text make sense? Does the art depict the card well? Stuff like that.
Creativity: 4/4 – Looking at originality and ingenuity.
Quality: 4/4 – Check for wording, spelling and render errors. Also, failure to meet the round criteria will result in deductions here.
- Render issues: extremely poor quality art, microtext, mismatches between render and text version, and any other problems exclusive to renders will result in a maximum of 1 point deducted.
- Text card issues: Templating mistakes, errors in grammar and/or punctuation, missing mana symbols, missing power/toughness on creatures, and any other issues relating to text cards or overall sloppiness will result in a maximum of 2 points deducted.
- Breaking design rules: design rules not directly covered by other categories will be covered here. Things like memory issues, cards that create counters or tokens of multiple types, etc., will result in a maximum of 1 point.
- Round requirements: failure to meet the round requirements, or technically meeting the requirements but doing so in a way that is obviously contrary to the round's intent will result in a loss of up to all 4 points.
Challenge: Make a NONHYBRID three-coloured card, using a colour from each of the previous rounds.
Bonuses:
1pt - Card uses both words previously forbidden in your Round One submission.
1pt - Card uses the card type used in Round Two and the rarity used in Round Three OR uses the rarity used in Round Two and the card type used in Round Three. (Please indicate which combination you are using.)

One word: instant. Basically, that’s what this card should have been for the element of surprise. As is, it’s weak, especially since you and your opponent get the benefits. I’d only play it if I have a free shot.
Flavour: 4/5.
I don’t see why this is red.
Creativity: 3/4.
A combination [card]Treacherous Link[card] and lifelink.
Quality: 2/4.
Wrong inner border. There are grammar errors. “…creatures gain lifelink until end of turn” and “it’s up to you.” The main problem is this can be a rules nightmare. Since combat damage is dealt simultaneously (let’s ignore first strike for now,) which goes first, the lifelink or the “lose life” part?

I’m not too crazy about this card. The bodylink ability is good, but only if the creature survives. The mindlink ability is meh. The deathlink is okay. I can’t imagine any reason for playing this on an opponent’s creature.

For its mana cost, I would have made it a 2/4 or even a 3/4. As for its ability, it’s too weak. Maybe it should have been “M: Prevent the next 2 damage that would be dealt to target blocking creature this turn.” Basically, it should not apply to just one blocking creature.

Thanks to Shards of Alara, this isn’t as hard to play. After reading your card, I thought on one card that would be perfect: Sprouting Thrinax. It’s BRG and when you sacrifice it to your card, you get all of the above and the Thrinax will give you three Saprolings when you sacrifice it. So maybe it’s a little strong.

Its mana cost may look difficult to cast, but a Simic Growth Chamber and a Dimir Aqueduct can take care of that. Once this is in play, I feel this is Umezawa’s Jitte on steroids. You only have to put this on a Prodigal Sorcerer. Just ping someone and draw a card. Or, if you add the charge counter (which can be added by Energy chamber) and the world’s your oyster. Quite frankly, I feel you get too much from a single charge counter.
Flavour: 3/5.
Honestly, I don’t see anything in that card to justify it being green. For that matter, I feel no reason why this sword has so many abilities.
Creativity: 2/4.

Basically, for 2 extra mana, you have a 50/50 change of drawing a card. Of course, this isn’t from playing creature spells, you can put creature token into play. Of course, you opponent can benefit from this before you can, so I feel this is weak.
Flavour: 3.5/5.
The flavour text makes no sense. I don’t see anything in this that’s white.

I’ll have to admit, it’s pretty original.

If this is going to have changeling, it has to be Tribal. After seeing what it does, I think the first part should read “2: ~this~ gains all creature types (see cards like Runed Stalactite and Wings of Velis Vel.)” and should also read “Whenever a creature comes into play, if it shares a creature type with ~this~, you may flip a coin. If that player wins the flip, he or she draws a card.”

I noticed this costs one less than Titanic Ultimatum, so I can’t help but compare it to your card. Quite frankly, if you have several creatures, why aren’t you attacking? I think it’s worth waiting for the Forest I need to play the Ultimatum. At least that’s a sure winner.
Flavour: 5/5.
No problems here.

It’s quite original.

Rith's Radiance RRGGWW
Sorcery [R]
Put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token into play for each creature you control. Then, for each creature you control Rith’s Radiance deals 1 damage to target creature or player and you gain a life. RGW:Return Rith’s Radiance from your graveyard to your hand. Play this ability only if you attacked with three or more creatures this turn. Her breath creates, burns and renews. A power as great as her hate for the mortals that now run the world of the primevals.
For the judges:
Round Requirement - My card must be either GWB, GUB, RGW, or URG. It must not be hybrid.
Bonus Point 1 - My card must use the words "search" and "draw".
Bonus Point 2 - My card must be either a common sorcery, or a rare enchantment.
Biomantic EngineeringGUB
Enchantment R
As Biomantic Engineering comes into play, name a creature card.
Whenever the named card is played, draw two cards. GUB, Sacrifice a creature: Search your library for a copy of the named card and put it into play. Then shuffle your library. The success of any experiment is directly proportional to the volume of its screams.
Artist: Jeff Nentrup
Round 1 - Green. Round 2 - Blue and red mythic rare creature. Round 3 - White and black rare instant.
Requirement: Three colors: BRG, RGW, GWU, GUB.
Bonus point 1: Has both "Search" and "Draw" in the card's name, supertype, type, subtype, text or flavor text.
Bonus point 2: Is either a rare creature or mythic rare instant.
Naya WayfinderRGW
Creature - Human Druid Warrior {R} T: Search your library for a basic Mountain, Forest, or Plains card and put it into play. Then shuffle your library. Naya’s landscape changes so fast that if one were to draw a map it would become obsolete before the ink even dried.
3/3
Balance 4/10 Seems really weak for what it does. For 3 colors, only until end of turn does any draw spell turn to impulse. Simply switching the sub type to enchantment would have made this a HECK of a lot better.
Flavor 3.5/5 This feels blue, but it doesn't really feel green and not really black.
Creativity 2/4 Impulse on every draw ability. Nothing too new.
Quality 4/4 Nothing wrong here...
Chabli 21/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7/10 It is an interesting card, but it seems like a paradox to deal damage equal to a creatures power and then lose life equal to damage deal to it by another creature. At the best, i would say this should only be uncommon.
Flavor 5/5 This definitely feels like it is in the right colors. The artwork looks awesome too.
Creativity 3.5/4 Lifelink with a twist, interesting...
Quality 3.5/4 Your missing a colon after "creatures have".
Azhur 18/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 5/10 Interesting, but i think that you tried to put way too many new ideas on to a single card. One new mechanic is one thing, but three?! It is a very risky move on your part.
Flavor 3/5 Hard to say, The name seems weird and new mechanics are hard to give an accurate flavor score. I see the green in the avatar form though.
Creativity 4/4 The advantage to a new idea...
Quality 4/4 No problems...
Shinyman 25/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 10/10 Once again, another decent idea. I could see this being slightly overpowered. You get to set up your draw and/or screw up an opponents. The two life drawback is perfect for this card.
Flavor 5/5 The name, flavor text, and the colors it is in seems to blend together really good.
Creativity 4/4 Can't think of a card that mills and bring cards back like that.
Quality 4/4 No issues, congratulations, you deserve this.
Kenaron 23.5/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 9/10 A 3/3 for RGW. I like this card in the sense that it doesn't tap like a bop, but instead can fetch land. To get a 10, i probably would have given him either vigilance or make him a 4/4. Otherwise, he dies too easily...
Flavor 5/5 You hit a naya card on the bulls eye! Good work.
Creativity 3.5/4 Fetchlands reprinted, but instead, its on a creature.
Quality 3/4
Mountain, Forest, and Plains shouldn't be capitalized. Edit: Oracle text shows lands capatalized in fetchlands. You get your danged point. =)
Videojuegos 20/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7/10 An interesting twist on blocking by yourself. This seems like the opposite of the new mechanic exalted. Trip cost, even at uncommon, seems week for a 1/4.
Flavor 4/5 This feels like everything is in decent shape. I really like the idea of her defending the soldiers who protect you.
Creativity 4/4 I could say you just opposed exalted, but exalted hasn't technically come out yet. So full points for you.
Quality 3/4 Grammar is fine, the artwork seems kinda crappy...
Ikeda 22.5/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7.5/10 This seems like it could be really broken. I will say, get an army of creatures, than sac them for a huge timmy-like creature akroma, angel of wrath, darksteel colossus, and Empyrial Archangel to name a few.
Flavor 5/5 Feels really good in its color. You get this creatures' dna, and then turn your creatures into that dna.
Creativity 4/4 I am feeling it. The simic would be happy to use this card to their advantage
Quality 4/4 No issues here.
Cardamne 17.5/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6/10 An Elvish Promegrade with saprolings and a drain life. I am a not really a fan. The general idea behind the card is nice, but i think you tried to do too much with this...
Flavor 3/5 The damage in red and saprolings in green make sense. But when you lose life and gain life like that, it seems like it should be more of a green black card. (see drain life). When you say Rith, i am thinking something to do with dragons and your artwork seems to agree with me. And yet, here are saprolings.
Creativity 3/4 ..Nothing i haven't seen before. Just an weird twist.
Quality 3.5/4 When you gain life, the way you rephrased it should have been either: "You gain life equal to the damage dealt this way." or "___ deals x damage and you gain x life where x is the number of creatures you control.
Belgareth 21/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 8/10 Seems strong. Sacrifice that new lizard from shards and you get a really sick combination. I like how you took some of the old ravnica/shadowmoor idea of if Y was spent to play this and twisted it into a tricolor spell.
Flavor 4/5 I realize the task at hand, but a hellpact doesn't seem to feel like it should be green in any way what so ever...
Creativity 3/4 Old idea with an interesting twist...
Quality 4/4 No issues here...
MotionPicture13 19.5/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6/10 As an uncommon card, i can see why you have the drawbacks, but i believe that you only need one or the other. This first puts you into 3 colors. Secondly, it only works for one battle phase at sorcery speed. Secondly, you get hit for 5...Too weak...
Flavor 3.5/5 An interesting concept that a dragon can form the land into another dragon? It doesn't make a lot of sense though...
Creativity 4/4 I like it. Has a feel to it.
Quality 4/4 Can't find any issues here....
New Utero 20/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7/10 Cool card that basically says: "When you play a creature, you may pay 2 mana to take a chance at drawing a card. I like the general idea, but the coin flip is unnecessary. It feels like it was just added to the card to give it more interest.
Flavor 4/5 Coin flip idea is hurting your here to. Sigil idea does make sense, but changeling is a lorwyn mechanic that was given to creatures that could not hold a stable form. This does not feel like a changeling card.
Creativity 3.5/4 Old mechanic with a twist that could make this fun in multilayer.
Quality 3.5/4 Missing a couple of commas...
Sadsquash 19/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6/10 A lot of people try to do this in the final round, i think you tried too hard and out too much stuff on this card. That being said, this feels a bit on the weak side, even for a supposed mythic (Sarkhan Vol doesn't count, neither do any of the planeswalkers come to think of it...). For 3 diffrent colors of mana plus an equip of 3, despite the plethora of abilities, any play would rather play jitte, than try to deal with this monstrosity of a card.
Flavor 4/5 I can safely say that wizards would NEVER make a green artifact. That be like trying to make a blue flamekin. Just not going to happen....
Creativity 3/4 Good idea...abilities are nothing special...
I had a feeling my Round 3 card was degenerative the day of. I didn't have time to balance it out, so I suffered for that.
Good luck to all in the Finals. I'm just going to hope next month works out better for me.
Reht Veras2BGW
Planeswalker-Reht {R}
[+1]: Discard a creature card. Draw a card.
[-2]: Prevent all damage that would be dealt to creatures you control until end of turn.
[-7]: From the rest of game, you may creature cards in your graveyard as though they were in your hand.
Round One Submission:Bloodyfly
Black (Must use "Graveyard" and "Lose") Round Two Submission:Ancient Game
Blue Red - Sorcery Common Round Three Submission: Life Beam
Green White - Instant Rare
Final Round Submission:
Blood Link :symw::symb::symr:
Sorcery {R}
Until end of turn, creatures have lifelink and “Whenever this creature is dealt damage, you lose that much life.”
Many wizards have died by the weakness of their armies. The Link can grant you glory, or send you to the graveyard. Is up to you.
Guess I didn't make it, although I'd still be interested on judgings/opinions if anyone has time.
Mental Breakdown XUBR
Instant (Rare)
Choose X - Return target spell or permanent to its owner's hand; or Mental Breakdown deals 1 damage to target player for each card in his or her hand; or target player discards two cards at random. Grixis mind mages have twenty-seven different words for "madness."
Bonus 2/2
Balance 10/10 As an instant, you can stack damage, basically replace your creature, kill another one, and draw two cards at the same time. That's +4 card advantage at 3 mana! Nevertheless, that play is difficult to pull off and there aren't too many Magic cards around that will trigger the card that effectively (although it's insane with Sprouting Thrinax). It's a fantastic card in some decks, but not good enough to force every deck in the format to play with it or against it. From a balance standpoint, this could see play as is. Flavor 5/5 I love the connection between your art and the name, and the flavor text very well represents the theme of the card. Each ability fits within the corresponding color's pie. Creating Cerberus as a 3/3 is pretty clever. Creativity 2/4 To me, this is the most disappointing part of an otherwise fantastic submission. You had a ton of opportunity to put creative a creative twist on the card, and I'm pretty bummed that all it ended up being was Shock, Call of the Herd, and Night's Whisper. Nevertheless, I will award points for the trigger, which has some new elements to it. Quality 4/4 Looks good.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6/10 I think it's definitely under the curve. Char, although it deals 1 damage less, is far more efficient, nothing gets dealt to you, and the damage is guaranteed. This card really feels like it costs 4, because you're usually going to have to tap the land you target to get any use out of the card. Flavor 3/5 I have two problems with this card - I don't understand why the dragon is only white. It matches your art better, sure, but it really doesn't account for the dragon dealing five damage to you. Second, I don't understand why land turns into the dragon. Summoning just signals to me that the dragon is coming out of its lair, or something. Creativity 2/4 It's Animate Land, only it's a dragon that does 5 damage to you. There's really not much innovation here, in my opinion. Quality 3.5/4 Dragon should be capitalized. See Call of the Herd.
Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 This card has an extremely powerful, game-changing effect and can be used again and again pretty easily. Nevertheless, this will usually be a win-more card and it's mana cost is very restrictive. It's pretty well balanced, but I think it's mana cost is just a tad bit difficult. Flavor 4/5 I think the flavor of this card is absolutely fantastic, except that nothing explains the creation of Saprolings to me. The card represents a God-like power, and I don't feel that creating a bunch of little 1/1s quite matches up. Creativity 4/4 This card is legitimately innovative. I love that it counts the number of creatures you have after you double them. Quality 3.5/4 Should be "and you gain 1 life."
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7/10 This card doesn't strike me as very good. After investing a full 7 mana to get it on a creature, I would need an effect that would change the game immediately. Like Loxodon Warhammer. This card helps you slowly take over advantage in a war of attrition, but I dont think you're looking for something that unaggressive in an expensive equipment. Flavor 5/5 The flavor on this card is great. Creativity 2/4 I really don't feel there's much going on here. The ability to choose two of three effects has never occured on an equipment before, and it is a great idea. What irks me is that you had plenty of room to be creative with the effects and didn't. Quality 3/4 I know there's a lot of pressure in the FCC to include flavor text, but here it just annoys me. Between the provocative name, fantastic art, and on-flavor effects, you would have received a perfect flavor score without any text. But even if you were compelled to, did it have to be so long?
Bonus 2/2
Balance 10/10 As a multicolored three mana enchantment, this card has to do a lot. And it does. This card is great with creatures who can bounce themselves, and the ability to search up a creature from your library is extremely powerful. However, I feel that the momentum lost by playing it and the restrictive mana cost makes up for the cards fantastic effect. Flavor 5/5 This card is in the correct colors, and the flavor text and name are absolutely fantastic. Creativity 4/4 I absolutely love this card. The effect is technically very simple but the ideas are complex, interesting, and innovative. That's exactly what I look for when I'm judging creativity. Quality 4/4 Looks good.
I'm very impressed. My first 25/25!
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7/10 The card is a little bit underwhelming. I would have been happier had it had vigilance, but as it is, the card is not aggressive enough to be very playable. Flavor 5/5 Your flavor text is great. The card matches Naya pretty well. It doesn't have 5 power, but I wont fault you for not matching a theme that hasn't even been released yet. Creativity 2/4 There's really not much going on here. The effect doesn't really have a particularly innovative effect on the game-play. While technically there's some new stuff going on, I'm really don't feel like the card actually creates an interesting game state. Quality 4/4 Checks out.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6.5/10 So, when both players are running creatures this card is pretty relevant. You can advantage of the card quite well when you have a favorable board position. But the card is very, very conditional, and the latter effect largely just turns your creatures into Thorn Elementals with a little bit of a drawback. It's just not broad enough to be relevant enough of the time. Flavor 4.5/5 "send you to the graveyard" is just a little too corny. Other than that, the flavor on the card is absolutely fantastic. Creativity 4/4 The card's effect is really innovative and flavorful. Quality 4/4
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6/10 Compared to cards of the same cost, this guy is pretty useless. Sure, it's a great blocker, but I don't think it really has the aggressive focus that a creature so difficult to cast deserves. I wish it at least had vigilance.. Flavor 4/5 I really like the name! The flavor text is a little bit difficult to understand, so much so that I don't feel it's really printable. Creativity 2/4 I'm really not that impressed with the flavor on this card. It has the opposite idea of what's going on in Bant in Shards, but I really don't think the effect is that cool. Quality 4/4
Bonus 2/2
Balance 6/10 This card isn't that great. Cantrips in Magic generally cost 2, and only getting it half the time is pretty underwhelming. The ability for your opponent to use the card really just tanks the power level. Flavor 3/5 I am really not understanding the coin flip here. The flavor text is also very confusing. Creativity 2/4 This is a card with some new ideas, but I don't like them. An enchantment with Changeling is cool, but any player being able to pay 2 to chance drawing a card for each creature they play isn't very impressive. Quality 2.5/4 "any player may play this ability" should be a separate sentence. Same goes for "if he or she wins the flip". The flavor text is done wrong, you need to hold shift when you press enter when you're giving your citation for the quote so it comes out cleaner.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 9/10 I think this card is fairly well balanced. The ability to muddle with your opponents draws is powerful, as is the ability to turn every one of your draws into an impulse. But at 3 mana, you're really gonna have to jump through hoops to use them both at once. I think it's just a little bit weaker than it should be. Flavor 3/5 I don't understand the flavor on this card. You can control draws better than normal? That sounds more like effective research to me. Creativity 3.5/4 Good innovation! Quality 3.5/4 You cannot separate can and not.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 10/10 So, on the attack, your creature deals 6 damage to your opponent, 3 to you, put three +1/+1 counters on your creature, and scry 3. That's much better than 3 mana will normally get you, but being that you only get it once and that you have to have a creature already in play I feel it's pretty well balanced. Flavor 4/5 Flavor text is alright, I feel that "For now" detracts from the general meaning of the card, as if the creature's gonna be put into the graveyard at the end of the turn. Everything else fits well. Creativity 4/4 I think that mindlink, bodylink, and deathlink are each fantastic mechanics. All in all, the creature that the card creates is really interesting. Quality 3.5/4 The flavor text is done wrong, you need to hold shift when you press enter when you're giving your citation for the quote so it comes out cleaner.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 10/10 I think this card is very well balanced. You pay as much as 4 life for to screw your opponent's next draw and fix your own. It's aggressive power to toughness ratio means that it will play a role in combat, but it wont generally do much more than 1 for 1. Flavor 5/5 I now notice that the card includes a Reclaim ability, which is definitely green. Point added. Creativity 4/4 Very well done! Quality 4/4 It looks good.
Fantastic card!
Balance: 7/10 - Rather powerful. The legendary half may balance it out a bit but...seems to be a lot of blue based as the card does allow you to draw. Flavour: 5/5 - Ahh the art rocks and the dead telling the man stuff seems to fit the flavor very well. Creativity: 2/4 - Feels Jitte-ish, not as powerful...but good thing this thing doesnt have the ridiculous pump mechanic. Quality: 4/4 - No problems...Cool art By the way.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
20pts
Balance: 7/10 - Hmm...slightly over powered? But the sac ability is a balancing act. Flavour: 3/5 - The art is a bit...off. Though the use of hell as the setting can work, still if he wants to depict this card...something more bloody should fit the mechanic. The text however is good. Creativity: 4/4 - Strange way for a card to go. Never saw anything like it, seems that a sacing multi purpose card is what the doctor ordered. Quality: 4/4 - No problems. Art is good, though out of place a bit.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
20pts
Balance: 8/10 - Hmm...Makes Saps, Burns and gains life? Interesting yet...the cost fits. Flavour: 3/5 - Dragon: Check, Burn: Check, Life gain:? Saprolings: Erm... Creativity: 2/4 - Hmm...Recoverable...yet expensive... Eh...kinda redundant. Quality: 3/4 - A typo has cost ya... Trust me...gain a life?!
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
18pts
Balance: 7/10 - Hmm...fits blue's copy ability, black's sacing mechanic, and green's creature generation. Flavour: 4/5 - Art is well endowed but feels more mutant generating thing or a mutant creature. The text however is nice. Creativity: 3/4 - Interesting... opens a lot of combos to happen. Quality: 4/4 - No problems.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
20 pts
Balance: 8/10 - Ah... a beefed up sentinel of the forest? Sweet, plus the way it fits well into the Naya setting is good. Flavour: 5/5 - Ranger...wild and savage forest? Good. Naya! Creativity: 3/4 - The land search tapping has been done a few times...most recently seen in tenth Ed. Quality: 4/4 - No problems.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
22 pts
Balance: 6/10 - Unfortunately...the first two events are better once you figure out how to make Planeswalker abilities played whenever an instant or sorcery is casted. Flavour: 4/5 - Hmm... Dragon planeswalker? Why not? Creativity: 3/4 - Woah...more madness....The skills however...are more inclined to instants...exceot the last one... Quality: 2/4 - Loyalty points missing in main text. No artist credit.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
17 pts
Balance: 6/10 - Land to creature? Why not, fits this rather well. Though we wish it has haste...and why is it not an instant? Flavour: 4/5 - Art lacks a bit of the firey back lash feel. But seeing it is a serpentine I guess it fits. Creativity: 2/4 - Just plain and simple...not much woo-hoo about it. Quality: 4/4 - No problems.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
20 pts
Balance: 7/10 -An odd ragtag way of a double edged blade... Flavour: 4/5 - Good art...Good Flavor. Feels more of a death match or mortal combat feel though. Creativity: 3/4 - Eh? Some weird stuff happens to this card...honestly...Can kill or help you...period. Quality: 4/4 - No problems.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
19 pts
Balance: 5/10 - Erm...good for a mano-e-mano one on one creature duel? Flavour: 4/5 - Good art...The angel offering something would fit Bant. Creativity: 2/4 - Defense? Yawn... Quality: 4/4 - No problems.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
17 pts
Balance: 8/10 - Hmmm...Tri color counter? Why not? Plus the self destruction of black and red's mass kaboon works.
Plus it suits no? Flavour: 4/5 - Demon thing, shooting a counter spell. Feels good for Grixis to me! Creativity: 3/4 - Feels a bit like the other counterspells with taxations. Quality: 4/4 - No problems.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
22 pts
Balance: 7/10 - Heh? Tis strange and even for three differetn mana...it can save a life and well, definitely be a game saver...just odd in how it works. Flavour: 3/5 - Tis Jesus! Actually it is...based ont he art, it is the ascension... Creativity: 2/4 - Another save my butt quick card... Quality: 3/4 - Art is blurred
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
17pts
Balance: 7/10 - Tis...weird....really. Odd that an enemy colored trio is in it. But creature change and a bonus? Hmmmm.... Flavour: 3/5 - when I hear sigil of all...I imagined an all colored card... Creativity: 3/4 - something new but not exactly on the twist of the creature type thing. Quality: 4/4 - Flashy.
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
19pts
Balance: 7/10 - hmm. what a way to play with blue's card drawing ability, letting you mill a bit and restricting his choices. Tad overpowered though. Flavour: 4/5 - Art does not feel it. But the flavor text, yes and so does the ability Creativity: 3/4 - Instants that mess with draws? We've seen some. Quality: 4/4 - no problems
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
20pts
Balance: 6/10 - a pretty powerful way of dealing with enemies, especially with the right things to do. He attacks with a 1/1 that pops up into a 3/3, but loaded with abilities, it might eb brokwn. Flavour: 4/5 - Seems things are gonna get off here....new abilities that give each color their designations. Creativity: 2/4 - This can be compared to other cards like Wings of Velis Vell...etc... Quality: 4/4 - No problems
Bonus: 2/2 - No problems
18pts
Balance: 7/10 - Reasonably costed, yet the ability is odd. To give him a way to recover his things? Ermmm...what? Flavour: 3/5 - Seems to hit more on the black-blue department tahn a hint of gree. Plus...the picture feels more necromancer. Creativity: 4/4 - Never saw something as odd as this. Quality: 4/4 - No problems
I need either a rare enchantment or an uncommon creature that is WUR, WBR,WUG,orWBG that contains both Prevent and End. This'll be tough...
Btw, good luck everyone!

I am declaring the round over. On my post when it says "with 15 minutes left" change that to four. Wow, I was lucky. I notice at the last second that it did work if one of the words is in reminder text. So I changed absorb to prevent the next....this turn, and then I realize I took out "until end of turn" so I had to change the name to have "End" in it in some way. I should've just given the creature defender, but whatever. Good luck all. I see alot of good cards, and a lot of really complicated cards. I guess three colors does that. Also, Sheperd, I would like to thank you for such a fun month. The challenges were so open, but yet so limited at the same time. Good Job!
Videojuegos closed it, though it may not have been obvious with all the other stuff he wrote. In the future, however, a round should be closed by a judge, not a player.

The usual reminders:
Face the Past

1pt - Card uses both words previously forbidden in your Round One submission.
1pt - Card uses the card type used in Round Two and the rarity used in Round Three OR uses the rarity used in Round Two and the card type used in Round Three. (Please indicate which combination you are using.)
ROUND REQUIREMENTS:
Can I make a split card? How about a flip card?
As long as the card is clearly tricolored (either by mana symbol or by a static characteristic defining-ability), and the card does not have a hybrid mana symbol on its mana cost, you're okay.
Can I use hybrid mana symbols in the text of the card?
Sure.
If my card happens to share the three colors of a shard in the upcoming Shards of Alara, does it have to follow the flavor of that particular shard?
No. You don't have to if you don't want to.
BONUS POINTS:
Can I use different supertypes and/or subtypes?
Yes. Only the card type matters this time.
Can I use the card type and rarity of one round?
No. You must use an element from each of Rounds Two and Three, as specified above.
PLAYERS: Please provide a link to your Rounds One, Two, and Three cards in your current submission.
This round will run until Midnight EDT, Saturday the 27rd (When Saturday becomes Sunday).

When I look at your card, I will ask myself lots of questions, here are a few:
Bonus: 2/2 - "Did you, or did you not?"
Balance: 10/10 - I liked Standard and Draft.
Needs some ";" -.5
Balance 7/10: So for 3 different colored mana, and sacking a guy I would get: Night's Whisper, Trained Armodon, and shock..... Not that impressive. Especially considering I would have had to sack a 3 color creature for all of that... And there are 6 RGB creatures in ALL of magic(well more if you include 5 color and 4 color guys, but you get my point) none of which are really playable.
Its like Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar, kinda... not really, ok your getting a 3.5
Quality 4/4: Good
Balance 7/10: Seems like a silly combat trick.

The fallen king’s blade radiates with the kinetic souls that it has collected. As they weep, they whisper dark words in its wielder’s ear.
Balance: 10/10 – Also self-explanatory.
Creativity: 4/4 – Looking at originality and ingenuity.
Quality: 4/4 – Check for wording, spelling and render errors. Also, failure to meet the round criteria will result in deductions here.
Balance: 6/10.
TOTAL: 17/25.
Balance: 8/10.
I just thought of a ridiculous combo: This and Wheel and Deal. This’ll screw your opponents nicely. What bothers me is that it affects you as well.
Flavour: 4/5.
I don’t see anything green about this card.
Creativity: 4/4.
No problems here.
Quality: 3/4.
It should read “If a player draws a card this turn, that player reveals the top four cards of his or her library. You choose one those cards. That player put the chosen card into his or her hand and the rest in his or her graveyard.”
TOTAL: 21/25.
Balance: 7/10.
I’m not too crazy about this card. The bodylink ability is good, but only if the creature survives. The mindlink ability is meh. The deathlink is okay. I can’t imagine any reason for playing this on an opponent’s creature.
Flavour: 3.5/5.
Personally, avatars should be bigger than 3/3. Also, I’m not too crazy about the flavour text. It just seems to contradictory.

I like this. The fact that you make everyone mill four cards and have the option of reclaiming one of those cards back. However, I feel it could cost 1 less. Other than that, it’s okay.

For its mana cost, I would have made it a 2/4 or even a 3/4. As for its ability, it’s too weak. Maybe it should have been “M: Prevent the next 2 damage that would be dealt to target blocking creature this turn.” Basically, it should not apply to just one blocking creature.
Flavour: 3.5/5.
The art looks squished. I see nothing to justify it being green or blue.

After reading this card, I immediately thought of cards like Darksteel Colossus and Serra Avatar. Two cards that can help you go though your deck rather quickly. This combo would be broken. Anything else would make this weak.

I find this rather weak. Compare this to Fiery Justice. I just think that 5 damage and the possibility of losing a land are too high a price. Maybe if this was an instant or if you took out the damage, this would have been better.

I don’t see why this is white.

You take Umezawa’s Jitte and make new abilities and more choices? Uh… no.
Quality: 3/4.
“Scry” shouldn’t be capitalized. “3” should be in a circle in text card. Also, wrong border.

Creativity: 4/4.
I’ll have to admit, it’s pretty original.
Quality: 2/4.

A 3/3 for RGW is reasonable. The activated ability is okay, though I think the lands should come into play tapped.

Seems really weak for what it does. For 3 colors, only until end of turn does any draw spell turn to impulse. Simply switching the sub type to enchantment would have made this a HECK of a lot better.
Flavor 3.5/5
This feels blue, but it doesn't really feel green and not really black.
Creativity 2/4
Impulse on every draw ability. Nothing too new.

It is an interesting card, but it seems like a paradox to deal damage equal to a creatures power and then lose life equal to damage deal to it by another creature. At the best, i would say this should only be uncommon.
Flavor 5/5
This definitely feels like it is in the right colors. The artwork looks awesome too.

Interesting, but i think that you tried to put way too many new ideas on to a single card. One new mechanic is one thing, but three?! It is a very risky move on your part.
Flavor 3/5
Hard to say, The name seems weird and new mechanics are hard to give an accurate flavor score. I see the green in the avatar form though.

Once again, another decent idea. I could see this being slightly overpowered. You get to set up your draw and/or screw up an opponents. The two life drawback is perfect for this card.
Flavor 5/5
The name, flavor text, and the colors it is in seems to blend together really good.
Creativity 4/4
Can't think of a card that mills and bring cards back like that.

No issues, congratulations, you deserve this.

A 3/3 for RGW. I like this card in the sense that it doesn't tap like a bop, but instead can fetch land. To get a 10, i probably would have given him either vigilance or make him a 4/4. Otherwise, he dies too easily...
Flavor 5/5
You hit a naya card on the bulls eye! Good work.
Creativity 3.5/4
Fetchlands reprinted, but instead, its on a creature.
Quality 3/4
Mountain, Forest, and Plains shouldn't be capitalized.
Edit: Oracle text shows lands capatalized in fetchlands. You get your danged point. =)

An interesting twist on blocking by yourself. This seems like the opposite of the new mechanic exalted. Trip cost, even at uncommon, seems week for a 1/4.
Flavor 4/5
This feels like everything is in decent shape. I really like the idea of her defending the soldiers who protect you.
Creativity 4/4
I could say you just opposed exalted, but exalted hasn't technically come out yet. So full points for you.
Quality 3/4
Grammar is fine, the artwork seems kinda crappy...

Balance 7.5/10
This seems like it could be really broken. I will say, get an army of creatures, than sac them for a huge timmy-like creature akroma, angel of wrath, darksteel colossus, and Empyrial Archangel to name a few.
Flavor 5/5
Feels really good in its color. You get this creatures' dna, and then turn your creatures into that dna.

Quality 4/4

Balance 6/10
An Elvish Promegrade with saprolings and a drain life. I am a not really a fan. The general idea behind the card is nice, but i think you tried to do too much with this...
Flavor 3/5
The damage in red and saprolings in green make sense. But when you lose life and gain life like that, it seems like it should be more of a green black card. (see drain life). When you say Rith, i am thinking something to do with dragons and your artwork seems to agree with me. And yet, here are saprolings.
Creativity 3/4
..Nothing i haven't seen before. Just an weird twist.
Quality 3.5/4
When you gain life, the way you rephrased it should have been either: "You gain life equal to the damage dealt this way." or "___ deals x damage and you gain x life where x is the number of creatures you control.
Belgareth 21/25
Bonus 2/2
Balance 8/10
Seems strong. Sacrifice that new lizard from shards and you get a really sick combination. I like how you took some of the old ravnica/shadowmoor idea of if Y was spent to play this and twisted it into a tricolor spell.
Flavor 4/5
I realize the task at hand, but a hellpact doesn't seem to feel like it should be green in any way what so ever...

As an uncommon card, i can see why you have the drawbacks, but i believe that you only need one or the other. This first puts you into 3 colors. Secondly, it only works for one battle phase at sorcery speed. Secondly, you get hit for 5...Too weak...
Flavor 3.5/5
An interesting concept that a dragon can form the land into another dragon? It doesn't make a lot of sense though...

Cool card that basically says: "When you play a creature, you may pay 2 mana to take a chance at drawing a card. I like the general idea, but the coin flip is unnecessary. It feels like it was just added to the card to give it more interest.
Flavor 4/5
Coin flip idea is hurting your here to. Sigil idea does make sense, but changeling is a lorwyn mechanic that was given to creatures that could not hold a stable form. This does not feel like a changeling card.

Old mechanic with a twist that could make this fun in multilayer.

A lot of people try to do this in the final round, i think you tried too hard and out too much stuff on this card.
Flavor 4/5
I can safely say that wizards would NEVER make a green artifact. That be like trying to make a blue flamekin. Just not going to happen....

Instant (Rare)
Choose X - Return target spell or permanent to its owner's hand; or Mental Breakdown deals 1 damage to target player for each card in his or her hand; or target player discards two cards at random.
Grixis mind mages have twenty-seven different words for "madness."
-Douglas Adams
MotionPicture13
Cardamne
Balance 8/10 This card has an extremely powerful, game-changing effect and can be used again and again pretty easily.
Sadsquash
Ikeda
Kenaron
Chabli
Balance 6.5/10 So, when both players are running creatures this card is pretty relevant. You can advantage of the card quite well when you have a favorable board position. But the card is very, very conditional, and the latter effect largely just turns your creatures into Thorn Elementals with a little bit of a drawback. It's just not broad enough to be relevant enough of the time.
Flavor 4.5/5 "send you to the graveyard" is just a little too corny. Other than that, the flavor on the card is absolutely fantastic.
Creativity 4/4 The card's effect is really innovative and flavorful.
Quality 4/4
Videojuegos
Balance 6/10 Compared to cards of the same cost, this guy is pretty useless. Sure, it's a great blocker, but I don't think it really has the aggressive focus that a creature so difficult to cast deserves. I wish it at least had vigilance..
Flavor 4/5 I really like the name! The flavor text is a little bit difficult to understand, so much so that I don't feel it's really printable.
Creativity 2/4 I'm really not that impressed with the flavor on this card. It has the opposite idea of what's going on in Bant in Shards, but I really don't think the effect is that cool.
Quality 4/4
New_Utero
Muchsarcasm
Balance 9/10 I think this card is fairly well balanced. The ability to muddle with your opponents draws is powerful, as is the ability to turn every one of your draws into an impulse. But at 3 mana, you're really gonna have to jump through hoops to use them both at once. I think it's just a little bit weaker than it should be.
Flavor 3/5 I don't understand the flavor on this card. You can control draws better than normal? That sounds more like effective research to me.
Creativity 3.5/4 Good innovation!
Quality 3.5/4 You cannot separate can and not.
Azhur
Shinyman
Balance 10/10 I think this card is very well balanced. You pay as much as 4 life for to screw your opponent's next draw and fix your own. It's aggressive power to toughness ratio means that it will play a role in combat, but it wont generally do much more than 1 for 1.
Flavor 5/5 I now notice that the card includes a Reclaim ability, which is definitely green. Point added.
Creativity 4/4 Very well done!
Quality 4/4 It looks good.
Fantastic card!
Flavour: 5/5 - Ahh the art rocks and the dead telling the man stuff seems to fit the flavor very well.
