is it just my mailing or did alot of you have fewer cards then you were suposda get...i only got 1 pack where it said i was suposda get 4 and a foil...i dunno what happened but it happend to my wife and 3 of my friends....is it just a mess up?....after an email with the DCI nothing will be done, they insist i was only due one pack even tho my account says otherwise, even after a printscreen of it and a following email with it they still refuse anything other then to ignore me....oh wizards what have you became!!!???!!!???
I too was shorted, and some other people I know had the same thing happen.
Me and others have also said that their envelopes looked like they had been previously opened for whatever reason.
The website didn't say (at the time I got the cards) that my cards were even shipped...so I don't know what happened.

I emailed customer service and pitched a fit over mine being short, but they stated that I got what I was due since they checked/recorded what we were due in the middle of August. So if you got shorted, that's because they checked the stuff 6 weeks ago.

was this the first time they've done something like this?
Take your monoblack deck, then set aside 14 swamps. Add 4 Creeping Tar Pits, 4 Darkslick Shores, 4 Drowned Catacombs, and 2 Jwar isle Refuge and add 4 Jace, the Mindsculptors. Your monoblack deck is instantly better. Better yet, drop those refuges, throw in some islands and some mana leaks, and lo and behold, you're now playing a real deck. Congratulations. Welcome to the world of competitive M:TG.
If that was the case, then that's normal. Here's the FAQ link.
When do you ship out the textless spells, premium and membership cards?
Benefits are shipped out to all eligible players three times a year: early March, early July and Early November. Membership cards are sent with the player's first shipment of textless spells. Currently, there is a six-week delay between the File Preparation Date and the day that we ship out the textless spells and premium cards. Because this is a worldwide program, we are shipping textless spells and foil Magic cards and membership cards to players in more than 60 countries, with different address formulations and benefit quantities. All this adds up to a complex fulfillment job, requiring significant time for preparation. We appreciate your patience with this delay.
Me and others have also said that their envelopes looked like they had been previously opened for whatever reason.
That happened to me too. The next time WotC prepares the MPR mailings, I hope they check their mailing machine so that there's enough adhesive to seal their envelopes because I don't think it mine was fully sealed.
However, if this is going to be a USPS thing, it becomes too much of a hassle because there's no guarantee of recovering missing promos unless you know who would be opening (or allegedly opening) other people's mail.
I too was shorted in my MPR mailing. In my letter, i recieved 6 pairs of cards (enough to equal my 30+ tournaments). However, the foil cryptic was missing. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also- The reccommended procedure for recovering missing mpr cards is the same as returning defective product. Does that mean i have to ship back my opened textless promos? The world will never know...

There's the answer. Mine was also "shorted" a textless Cryptic Command, but if the cutoff date was in August, then that's probably okay. The August cutoff makes sense, as that Feral Hydra Shards promo thing would have made sense if they sent that out in August. I just wish they would do a better job of updating the My Rewards page. Confusion would have been avoided.
Well, they got my packs right; 6 2 card packs and a foil.
However, some of my friends have also had this problem. It's normal that they won't do anything about it.
Still, it's hard to complain when it's free stuff.
It's not exactly free. Many of my friends go out of their way to attend to as many events as possible to achieve the good rewards. It is an incentive program, so if they dont give said incentive they are bound to see a decrease in event attendance, which is not a good thing since the many changes in the last year should have already affected those.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Many of my friends go out of their way to attend to as many events as possible to achieve the good rewards....
I have to agree with you're thought on this one... My wife went out of her way to attend additional tournaments when Damnation was brand new, knowing that a new foil promo would be coming soon and wanting to get it the first time it went out. Not only did she not receive the foil she was supposed to get, she didn't get anything at all. WotC customer service went back and forth with us a lot on it, and she didn't ever get it, nor did she get her promo the next time around, then they said it might have been sent and lost... It was pretty frustrating.
I understand the statement "Don't complain because it is free." But it is unfair and drains the fun from an incentive program when some people are getting the promised promos and others aren't getting them after attending the same events.
If they decide to do away with MPR, that is their choice. But as long as they are still going to run the program, wouldn't it be nice if they ran it right?
To this day they have never gotten it correct for me. I should have ended up with over the last few years 1 Hippy, 1 ***, 2 Damnations, and I have never received a foil promo textless from the mpr. I have emailed them asking if this was a mistake or whatever, and get the same generic ok I will fix this it will be sent out right away (which never happens).
I am really hoping on these cryptics they get it right as I should have 1 coming (or atleast by my tournament attendance I should be). It doesn't bother me that much as I play in FNM to have fun, and I win my fair share, but these cards just seem like a hey thank you for participating (which I never get heh).
Owell, it seems that wizards just has a bad time keeping track of their total sent out for a lot of people.
i was also sent fewer cards, i only got 2 token sets when i should have gotten 7, im a little disappointed, but i did get my foil, so its fine, like someone else said its hard to complain when you get free stuff.
I didn't receive the foil Damnation in the last mailing with my tokens. I filled out the customer service form on their website and had it in about a week. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
Me and others have also said that their envelopes looked like they had been previously opened for whatever reason.
This happened to me the batch when they accidently mailed everyone extra ***s. The flap of my envelope obviously got jammed in the feeding machine and was crumpled and didn't seal, but it was mailed anyway. Somewhere between my house and Wizards they fell out of the envelope. They replaced my non-foils, but I didn't end up getting any ***s.
I'd be interested to see how many people's envelopes appeared to have been opened. How the heck do you create a poll on this thing? If it's true that they made the cut in mid-August, that's kinda crazy as that was just a month after they recorded my last batch. Maybe they're trying to get something in sync and had to do so just once. But anyone else have theirs show up and be opened? I got 1 Cryptic and 3 sets of the others, but as of the beginning of August I know I'd broken 40 for the foil (meaning 2 Cryptics).

a HUGE accomplishment due to how long I had to wait everytime I failed
Mine haven't been sent out yet, and my last batch was apparently mailed in February of 07 (which I never got, curse you, Damnations and Psi Blasts! :argh:) According to this thing I have 11 token sets and 3 foils going out, and ill be damned if my current T2 deck doesn't have 3 face-down cards with "Cryptic command" scribbled on them, so does anyone have any idea when their next mailing is supposed to be?
When were they sent out, because i finally got my fifth Event in under my DCI card, for a FNM in the middle of September. if they sent it before then i'll just wait till the next mailing, but if they sent it after then i'll be annoyed, but i know nothing will happen cuz it's all sent out as one huge batch

I don't think I was due for a foil, but still: 1 card? 1?!?
A card game about Presidents. Stabbing each other. With knives.
I WANT YOUR DEATH BARONS! Message me if you want to get rid of them!
edit:
Actually, wait, you get a pack of an old and a new for every 5 events, right? In which case I only got 1 pack (1 new card 1 old card)...

I went to about 10 tournaments at U.S nats alone.
