Evil Presents
2BB
Sorcery
Put a creature card from your hand into play under target opponent's control. That creature attacks each turn if able... and always attacks its controller.
'Tis better to give than receive.
Interesting; along the same lines as Gifts Given, breaking a fundamental rule of Magic. This also works well with Phage The Untouchable.
The year on the card is most definetly NOT 2008. It looks like 2006 to me.
I think it's a very small top loop and the number 2008 is right on top of art which makes it hard to read, but it's almost certainly "2008" not "2006".
Why would this remain hidden for two years if it were really "2006"?
So if you have a Sleeper Agent in hand, just for the heck of it, and used this card... who would gain control of it and would it attack each turn?
Also evil presents and fruitcake elemental togather is an excelent start for an incredibly fast (though not necessarily winning) holiday deck! "evil presents my fruitcake elemental, go, take 7". And then throw in some land destruction so he can't give it back...

ooh, that would be fun! with dark ritual and a mox out you could do that turn 1! :p:p:p
also, you would get the sleeper agent and it would attack you every turn since it comes into play under your oppnents control and they would control the trigger ability. pay 4 to take 5 damage each turn? um, no thanks. (but it would be a fun way of killing yourself :))
that's amusing n00b. and it could actually work, two colored, (or three to give you acess to Gifts Given) With Sleeper Agent. I dont know, best to ask that in the Rules Forum? although i dont know how the Mods will take it, since it's technically not apart of Gatherer. (to to mention the OP used that Ebil "popular" auction site) But If sleeper Agent Actually worked, I could Easily see a really wierd holiday style deck composed of....
Even if Sleeper Agent Doesn't work, it sits there attacking you, of which you Block with your Wall of Souls., so either way it deals them 5 damage, if they attack they take an additional 3 for attacking the wall, of they dont, they take 2, (7 from the Fruitcake) Nuke thier Lands to prevent them from giving it back, IF you wanted, you could add 4 Dark Rit, plus whatever else that adds mana, and do a turn 1 Fruitcake, that's 14 damage for free, and you can just pass the turn, 21 damage turn 2 is freakin nuts.

This is only the third card in the Holiday Promo collection, right?
Yes, that's right.
All three of them are quite flavorful and funny; I wish WotC would distribute these more widely, or provide some way for the general public to get them other than bidding on eBay.

- Jon Finkel Facts: (follow the link at left to see more Facts, or add more Facts!)
- Chuck Norris counted to infinity twice—because he was trying to count how much damage Jon Finkel deals in an average game.
- Jon Finkel believes in maintaining a healthy, balanced diet. He gets all his fiber from eating Magic cards for breakfast, and all his protein from eating Magic players for lunch.
This seems like a lot of fun. Oh god I just thought of the fun times with Ebonblade Reaper. Clear board means an opponent loses half their life, twice.
Lulz I never knew these holiday cards existed...but still the card is hilarious yah use it with sleeper agent but that kinda defeats the purpose because sleeper agent is powerful turn 1, not turn 4 when you cast this it'd be kinda funny though

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Fruitcake Elemental was mailed out to various people according to some pattern I've never been able to discern. One local guy got it and he has no idea why.
Gifts Given was a random prize at the Gunslinging events at last year's Worlds - you challenge some Magic celebrity like Rosewater, Garfield or a pro, and if you win, you get boosters or the mystery box. Some mystery boxes had these in them.
Dunno how this one's being distributed. Probably Gunslinging again, but maybe they won't want to repeat themselves.
I can get a bit more specific here
Both cards (and I assume this one) were distributed as a Christmas gift from WotC to employees, volunteers, and premier stores. It is not a Judge or TO promo, though. Both cards are also given out on occasion by WotC directly as a prize at various large events, though it's rare and usually a casual prize.

Either:
1. You can't block it, and that Darksteel Colossus is going to kill you.
2. Un rules take effect and you can block because its funnier that way.
I'm bidding on that. NOOOOOOWWWWW.
I think it is just a very bad scan. Besides, if it were 2006 these would be old news.

that was realy 2 years ago?
wow, it's been a while!
At least you don't have to worry about rules issues regarding attacking its controller. They lose, the end.

Me too, I guess we're going to have to hit the gunslinging tables hard.
