Well this weeks Wallpaper actually showed something pretty important so why not post it in the 'mill. Pretty sure this goes here, but it might go in Speculation (feel free to put it there if nessesary mods)
It would appear that Bolas is pretty much against everyone, it also provides goodies of the four PW's working together. It's kinda bad that we get it a day apart from the actual Bolas art. Then again we also had the entire list, thus killing any legitimate speculation. The art itself is wonderful though at least we know it won't appear on a card.
Since they're all allied against him, is he maybe responsible for bringing Alara back together, and the other 4 planeswalkers are trying to stop him? Or maybe the opposite?
Vol fighting the Dragon God? That must make him a sad panda.
Makes ya wonder how Vol is gonna swallow his "I Dragons" pride and fight the big lizard. Hopefully there's something good about it when the novel comes out.
Nice! So the Shards together is really a bad thing, to have all 4 'walkers fight Bolas, and he'd be all like "Hey guys, for the first time I'm trying to do something good and you guys wanna kill me for it? Sheesh!"
I would lol if something like that happens.
Oh yeah, and to Sarkhan, it'd be something like "Et tu, Brute?! Gawd, I even called you to Alara and that's how you treat your unseen mentor? N00b!"
(notice how Bolas is seemingly staring at Sarkhan, of all 'walkers)
I actually think that Bolas is there to stop the shards from coming together (since we pretty much know that by the end, Alara is Reborn), but the other Walkers see the coming together of all the shards as a good thing... that's why they are fighting him.
Yeah Vol must be really pissed. But what can 4 Neo-Walkers do against "Dominarias most ancient Evil" ^^ If he has still his old PW powers they don´t stand a chance.

Thanks to DarkNightCavalier from Heroes of the Plane Studios for this sick Signature.
I don't really think Bolas is staring right at Vol, just the angel. Who knows... well other then WotC.
I feel kinda bad, Ajani not only is the n00b walker of the group, he's the only non-glwy one. Elspeth's sword is glowing, Vol's hand is a fireball, and Tezz' hand is blue... but the most light off Ajani is the sunlight on his tail, head...
I was disappointing by the Bolas picture released a day or so ago, but this. . . . is amazing. I went to go make it my background but the 1024x768 link is busted
Wow, Tez. You keep surprising me, and those arguments, IMO, are really strong and might just be proven right once ARB comes out. I agree with you on that.
is it just me, or is that Ajani Goldmane with the dual headed Axe. After visiting Lorwyn and being his aged self, he's come back to Alara and decided to fight for the cause, He looks older in that picture, just because he's more slunched over and has the double headed blade. o.o

Lol i knew it. I won't be surprised if Creative finally kills Nicol Bolas this time, seeing that McGough won't be writing the novel (as Nicol Bolas is his favorite character iirc).
Though it would be hilarious tho if he gets banished again. But well, at least this time it was because of 4 individuals.
I kinda lol-d of the actuality that it was Tez who's providing them something to float of.

I noticed that too, but...wouldn't it make more sense if Elspeth provided the flight for the group; I understand this would have been more difficult to illustrate, I'm kinda new to the flavor side of magic...do they usually go against the "cards" to create a better flavor?
Bah! They got this. And i don't know why folks are thihnking the shards coming together is a good thing. Bant has it good right now. The only folks that would actually like to have more plains that i can think of are the Vithians of Grixis and possibly the sunseeders of Naya and of course the Necromancers, demons and vampires of Grixis..... I'd think everybody is better off with grixis being seperate. Putting them together sounds like a nagative thing for sure

Ajani has only ever bolstered mortals in the past. Imagine his power channeling through a sigil-boosted Elspeth, an etherium-boosted Tezzeret, and Dragon Specialist Vol.
Tezzeret is a font of energy between what artifacts he has available, being a neowalker, and having an abundance of etherium in his body. Even if he can't animate Nico's armor to turn it against him, he can help out his allies.
Elspeth can do violent things to Nico without getting mindwiped, thanks to that greatsword of hers. Add in her own supportive magic, and we're starting to get a synergy web.
Sahrkan Vol can summon a swarm of dragons or use his mindlash magic to disrupt Nico, or just use his empowering magic to boost his allies. Or, to put it in a handy chart:
Vol fighting the Dragon God? That must make him a sad panda.
I have to say, seeing his face close up, Bolas reminds me a little of a Gremlin. I don't know how to feel about that.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh man that just made my day!!!!!!!!! You sir are the winner!
On the topic, this poster is F**N great! I love to see that ALL the planeswalkers need to fight against this guy. Obviously making him a really tough cookie dragon.
Here's how i see it, Finally, This is a Utter Truth i speak, but i'm sure others will see it differently...
My Arguement is that Sarkhan Vol isn't at all concerned for the good of Alara, he's not even FROM the plane, he came to Jund seeking Truths.
Sarkhan Vol's Real point to fighting Nicol Bolas, is for his own sheer Selfishness, He fights the native dragons of Jund, to prove his power over them, so they become more "obediant" even though that's not really going to happen (haha Feral dragons being obediant xD) So the whole point to him fighting against Nicol Bolas is to prove his own strength. If anyone recalls Vol Calling the dragon by name in the comic, telling it (using magic as well, probably his "threaten" spell (haha) that it's meal was not Ajani. Proving he had domination over the dragons of Jund.
So i'm about 100% sure that Sarkhan's issue with Bolas is personal. not for the good of Alara, but for his own personal gain. If you dont recall it. Here's an Excerpt from the comic
