I love a good beatdown deck, and Godo, Bandit Warlord seemed like the perfect fit for my first EDH deck. I plan on making a couple of decks, and I'm gearing this one to be the no-brainer. A deck that I can loan out to someone without needing to much explanation but can still do some spectacular stuff.
I'd love to hear suggestions.
I really like Tenza, Godo's Maul in red EDH. Cheap +3/+3 and trample is pretty sweet on any general, if you're planning on killing via general damage.
Never mind it's flavor-appropriate. You're probably better tutoring for Sword of fire and ice, if you have the option... but trample has its own premium, in a red deck.
Browbeat is even more suboptimal in Elder Dragon Highlander than it is in Normal Magic games that start with 20 life. When you have 3+ players who all start with 40 life (and often can spike higher than that in a given game), you are going to find that someone is ALWAYS willing to take the damage instead of letting you draw 3 cards.
I also agree with the people suggesting the various shapeshifting cards. Run those as they serve double purposes as both Samurai and whatever their effects happen to be. Though I would avoid Mishra's Factory. The card while it does serve as both a land and a creature does not have any real synergy with your deck, nor any real offensive abilities of its own. So I don't really think it is worth it. I also ditto the people saying that you should drop the Kaldra block of artifacts. If you really need indestructibility that bad, just run the Shield, but truthfully, I think that Lightning Greaves is going to be more relevant more of the time.

Sorry this ran so long!! This is my first time using forums, I'm still getting the hang of the tools.
Also, given the amount of equipment you're running, I'd probably throw in more creatures.
Grim Lavamancer and Arc-Slogger are two fun favourites, and Goblin Piledriver belongs in every single red multiplayer deck ever.
Last one: Spikeshot Goblin is very equipment friendly. You'll love slapping warhammer on him and going to town.
Do you like Elder Dragon Highlander? Check out the EDH deck database with more than 150 decks!
Cards I'm selling!!
