Yay captains are back! welcome back guys.
Both limited cards; the squire is very strong in bant.dec, the other is ok post board sometimes.

Brooooooooken. We're not talking Bitterblossom kind of broken, we're not talking Tarmogoyf kind of broken, we're talking Black Lotus kind of broken.

Not.
But it seems solid.

Scattershot archer is the weapon people were waiting for against faeries. Comes down turn 1, evading countermagic, and reusable ad nauseam. The other is limited fodder.

Limited fodder, limited fodder. What's there more to be said. The bird may go as high as 3'rd pick for me given the right circumstances.
Edit: Wait! The elf deals damage without an "all attacking" clause or something like that? Now we're talking.

That Archer is a very pushed common. First, it is a 1/2 for 1 with a relevant creature type. And second, it has an ability usually reserved for uncommon cards. I am gaga for it.

Yeah, Fae are dead. Infraction for censor evasion 1/2 one drop that owns the skies? Cmon. This has to be uncommon (borderline rare considering the current standard) even for 2cmc this is too good. I figured the archers would be another Fae hoser. The way they're releasing hosers, you'd think every single deck winning deck was a one-trick pony.

o_O

Sources?

I really like the Aven Squire. More flying exalted only makes bant better.

The archer is interesting. DIE BITTERBLOSSOM TOKENS DIE!

The bird, mehhhh, at least a mid pack grab for drafts.

But the archer, ohhh la la. Everyone's said it befor me, a BB hoser, but also great in groups. More than one can bring down any group-o-fliers. Add something classic, like gravity sphere and now you have ground-pounders w/ a 1 toughness fleeing.

A great card, in general, two thumbs up.

Very nice Archer.

Even if all it does is makes the faerie player adjust their game plan a bit, he's done a great job. Very sweet for such a small creature!
