it is a great article, but I feel that Daniel needs to take heed of the environment. Team America has not been doing as well lately (within the past 2 months) as when it first debuted. As such, while I am sure the deck will make a relatively decent showing at the Grand Prix, I doubt it will be as monumental as some people at first thought it would be.

I liked seeing the deck put up its high result at its debut in the source tourny (I think)? Around the same time I was independently coming up with a similar deck but had not made the jump to using tomb/tarm. I was stuck in the frame of mind of sticking with UB, bob, sea drake, jitte... TA esentially turned out the deck I was trying to come up with but failed.

Thanks for the write up!

I just have one question,(as someone who only plays standard), why does no one use Pithing Needle is it because its to narrow, to me it seems like a card that
can stop a lot of board cards like top.

Pithing Needle is one of the most popular sideboard cards in Legacy, not sure where you got the impression that it isn't used.

Nice article, good read.

www.deckcheck.net

Count the number of TA decks in February.

(For the lazy: There are a fair few.)

yes, there are 10.... HOWEVER, of those 10... the following is the number that are from 30+ player tournaments: 4

That is hardly enough to make the deck a deck to watch... now if we expand it to include January, we get 15 decks... of those only 6 are from 30+ person tournaments... again hardly enough to make it a deck to watch, much less a deck to beat. And I am using the requirements for www.mtgthesource.com.

And I am certain that based on the results from the Grand Prix, Warden's system will show that Team America is not all it's Cracked up to be as well.
