Hello all!
I won't plagiarize Nicol Bolas that created the first version of this database. Here are his words:

"I've noticed that people will put up decklists for EDH decks that use the same general, or a general of the same colours as a decklist posted by someone else. They are looking for feedback on card choices and suggestions for cards that work with their strategy. [...]
My idea was to create a list of generals that have been used before and link them to the relevant threads in this forum. This way, if you're considering making a deck with that general, or a general in the same colour, you can look at the list and benefit from someone else's ideas and experience."

along with the stats section at the top, you should add the total number of generals available. according to gatherer, there are 403 legendary creatures; something like

generals used: 106 of 403

motivate people to search out the obscure generals

I do agree with this. There are a TON of different Legends that people could use. Some of them (for example, all the vanilla Legends,) are terrible, but there are quite a few that slip under the radar.
