Random Fact (musical or not): Has been to school concerts and seen local bands.
I listen to a lot of music, usually 3-7 albums a day. My favourite bands/singers are The Beatles, The Smiths, Arcade Fire, Elliott Smith, David Bowie, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Swans, Mogwai, and Cat Stevens. I listen to a lot of soul and noise music, post rock, post punk, quite a bit of "alternative" and other stuff from the 1960s and early 1970s - Velvet Underground, Seals and Crofts, The Asylum Choir, The United States of America, Chicago... I do enjoy some electronic music too, mainly the noisy electronic stuff, drone, and krautrock. I've never been a fan of any metal or hardcore though, possibly The Melvins but that's about it, really.
I also collect records, my collection is at about... 100-150? records now, including a few 7" singles. My favourite record I own is a 1996 UK pressing of Sonic Youth's "Confusion Is Sex" and a 1972 second pressing of The Beatles' White Album.

Random Fact: Um. I have no facts. I play harp? Though I haven't lately. I sing.
Real Name: James
Musical Preference: Ultimately I'm a rocker at heart, the more traditional (by which I mean "old school values" rather than "mainstream") the better. I was raised on a healthy diet of 70's rock, jazz, classical and folk music, so anything encompassing (or, even better, combining) these elements it bound to appeal to me on some level. Also, I've been playing piano since age 8, so I tend towards piano-heavy music.
Electronic music (even over-use of synthesised music in traditional bands) is a bit of a hangup of mine, but I'm trying very hard to learn to adapt to this one, if for no other reason than I don't want to turn into a grumpy old man before I hit 30.
Favourite Bands/Artists:
Old/Eternal Favourites - Beatles, Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Muse, JS Bach, Ben Folds, Billy Joel, Queen, The Eagles, Cold Chisel, AC/DC.
Current Favourites - The Cat Empire, Tin Pan Orange, She & Him.

Anyone can post in the thread, regardless of friend or membership status, all I ask is that you provide respectful, meaningful conversation (No flaming, trolling, etc). It is really easy to become a friend though, so why not? Because as George correctly said:
"The [Soundtrack] isn't about members, it is about friends"
Because of our unique view on friends, our Clan allows our friends to participate in Clan-Related Activities that most other clans would not (for instance, our friends helped submit ideas and VOTE for this thread title!)
As of January 5th, [Soundtrack] is allied with [The ÆSIR].
As of January 14th, [Soundtrack] is allied with The [Pack].
We're currently discussing: The Clan Contests, music, Magic, TV, movies, pretty much everything
Man, creating a thread based off of the beginning of a thread you didn't create is ROUGH!! I had to quote 'notches first post in the last thread, and because I quoted it all hell broke loose! It somehow duplicated every one of the spoiler tags, so I had something that looked like this:
Name: Derrick
Bio information here
It took me forever to get it right lol. But thanks Guardman, I hope its good, and I will probably be contracting Zaph and his crew to make us a new banner soon
CLT: "Not My Time" by 3 Doors Down
Also, @Guardman: Yeah I like the thread title too!
[Soundtrack]: They always only change the cadence, the song remains the same!
..for the next thread title
I'm actually a fan of the one someone posted in the last one : My Life Would Suck Without [Soundtrack]. But this thread should probably be broken in first...
If you want friend bios, I've got one over on 'Darkness... which reminds me: The branch over there (where it's an overclan :toot:) is slower than ****. You guys should go over there and wake everyone up.
..At least... when the site gets back up...

The song remains the same? Congratulations on keeping the clan alive through another thread.
Anyway, since I missed it in the last thread...
<== Best smiley ever. Beating a dead horse for the win.
I was going to delete everything I didn't want to respond to, but that smiley is the bomb, so I left it! Also, where have you been, I haven't heard from you in awhile! With that said, the part that I bolded, what do you mean?
I'm actually a fan of the one someone posted in the last one : My Life Would Suck Without [Soundtrack]. But this thread should probably be broken in first...
Yay! That was my submission! I was listenting to the song one night and it just felt right! But you're right, I really like this thread title too (obv, I voted for it :p)
Easily the best. I think its the backing vocals during the chorus that do it for me. I love the album, but I hear alot of reviewers hated it. But I like going against the curve.:p

It is a nice option. I like this one too, since I voted for it too, but make sure you remember the other one for the next thread.
Also, where have you been, I haven't heard from you in awhile!
Around... Mostly on 'Darkness (which is back up, apparently ;)), and last week I was sicker than the horse which is being beaten in that smiley, so I might not have gotten around much.

I was just making a more-or-less irrelevant pun. You've never heard Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same?!

Yeah. This is probably my top5 of songs off the album:
Heaven Sent
Loaded And Alone
Last Kiss Goodbye
Lost In The Sun
The Best Is Yet To Come
However, of the bonus tracks, Heartless and One Night Stand are also really good. The latter just sounds good (the lyrics are crab)
I haven't really listened to anything by these guys (certainly haven't gone out of my way to, anyway) since they were so heavily canned on one of Australia's biggest rock radio stations... In fact, the amount of abuse that one particular DJ dished out because he was forced by management to play Lips of an Angel however-many-times-a-day became a real problem for that network...
It is a nice option. I like this one too, since I voted for it too, but make sure you remember the other one for the next thread.
Oh yeah, I'm going to keep that list of submissions, and then when it comes time for the next thread I'm going to put it up (minus the "Are We Human" submission) and people can vote from it again (and add any new songs if they want to) and I will be voting for #17 as promised. Also, what's with the *some numbers* thing? They're easy to remember hehe
Around... Mostly on 'Darkness (which is back up, apparently ;)), and last week I was sicker than the horse which is being beaten in that smiley, so I might not have gotten around much.
I don't like Darkness that much. I don't know, it just feels...weird. Also, I hope you're feeling better!

I'll be a friend! Starting to make my own tracks with GarageBand, a bass, and a MIDI keyboard. And a crappy USB mic I got from a videogame. Good times.
Mainly, though, I'm posting because the lyric you based your title off of is awful. I still have angry, angry nightmares. What the **** does 'Are we Human or are we Dancer' even mean? No, you can't say 'Lyrics don't matter, it's a rock song!' or that he quoted from Hunter Thompson, because he doesn't say the s in dancers, and he doesn't actually capture the nuance of Thompson's statement.
It totally kills the song for me. Argh.
Anyways. Pet peeve out of the way ... I'm currently listening over and over to my own song [finding errors], and I'm listening to Royksopp's first CD. And a mix CD my mom gave me. And Jonathan Coulton's Thing a Week thing. I have a very low attention span sometimes ... when I find good music I listen for hours though.
The video for Remind Me by Royksopp is mesmerizing.
my mouth is full of winsome lies -
and eyes are full of death besides
but luckily the soul is wise -
it sees beyond my blindness and
forced failure makes a better guise,
so as i come again alive,
it feels like life's a decent plan
Yeah. This is probably my top5 of songs off the album:
Heaven Sent
Loaded And Alone
Last Kiss Goodbye
Lost In The Sun
The Best Is Yet To Come
However, of the bonus tracks, Heartless and One Night Stand are also really good. The latter just sounds good (the lyrics are crab)
Never heard the bonus tracks, but have you heard this : Hinder Covers Thunderstruck. I personally like it. I'm a softie for covers. It really has the power of the live Thunderstruck with the precision of the studio version. I think they did a pretty good job.
@Greymon: Oh, the numbers. I couldn't remember what they were.
Hmm... I am sad. Don't Stop Believin' by Journey finally comes out as a downloadable song for Rock Band II and I am leaving for Japan. I guess I'll just have to wait until I get to be able to sing it.

For a moment I thought you were talking about a song called "Dead by Bauhaus", recorded by Bela Lugosi (presumably some time ago). That would have been interesting...

Previous Threads:
1. You hear that? It's The [Sountrack]
2. Pour Some [Soundtrack] On Me, I'm Hot Sticky Sweet!
Anyways I love the name. I wonder who came up with it... :sneakyy:

Anyway, since I missed it in the last thread...
<== Best smiley ever. Beating a dead horse for the win.
I'm actually a fan of the one someone posted in the last one : My Life Would Suck Without [Soundtrack]. But this thread should probably be broken in first...
I like mean...so do the Izzet aparently.
CLT: Heaven Sent ~Hinder
Bah. You're :nike:.
If you want friend bios, I've got one over on 'Darkness... which reminds me: The branch over there (where it's an overclan :toot:) is slower than ****. You guys should go over there and wake everyone up.
..At least... when the site gets back up...
RLT: Honk If You Love Fred Durst - T.I.S.M.
I was going to delete everything I didn't want to respond to, but that smiley is the bomb, so I left it! Also, where have you been, I haven't heard from you in awhile! With that said, the part that I bolded, what do you mean?
Yay! That was my submission! I was listenting to the song one night and it just felt right! But you're right, I really like this thread title too (obv, I voted for it :p)
sigged
Why thank you Castle! We're happy we made it this far too!
CLT: "Love Like This" by Natasha Bedingfield ft. Sean Kingston
Easily the best. I think its the backing vocals during the chorus that do it for me. I love the album, but I hear alot of reviewers hated it. But I like going against the curve.:p
It is a nice option. I like this one too, since I voted for it too, but make sure you remember the other one for the next thread.
I don't like Darkness that much. I don't know, it just feels...weird. Also, I hope you're feeling better!
Sorry guys, I'm just not that big of a Zeppelin fan! But you're right, I should still have heard it
* greymon90210 goes to listen to "The Song Remains the Same" by Led Zeppelin before his
minionsfriends overthrow him...All of this is assuming you already know Stairway to Heaven... Most newborn babies already know the words to Stairway by heart.
The video for Remind Me by Royksopp is mesmerizing.
and eyes are full of death besides
but luckily the soul is wise -
it sees beyond my blindness and
forced failure makes a better guise,
so as i come again alive,
it feels like life's a decent plan
Never heard the bonus tracks, but have you heard this : Hinder Covers Thunderstruck. I personally like it. I'm a softie for covers. It really has the power of the live Thunderstruck with the precision of the studio version. I think they did a pretty good job.
@Greymon: Oh, the numbers. I couldn't remember what they were.
Currently Listening To: Bela Lugosi's Dead by Bauhaus
Congrats on the new thread guys :). And thanks again for the trade CDM ^_^.
Awesome job getting to the 3rd thread already guys. Seems like just yesterday that this was in it's first thread.

Thank-you Psi! That was one of the easier trades I've completed. I hope you like the extras!
Oh, and we got the big from my wife on the new thread name. Seems to be a hit with most people. Too bad MN isn't here
banner by god child. he'd make you one too, if you weren't so bad at posting.
But hey, tell your wife that we're glad she likes the thread title, and next time around she should submit a couple titles herself!
CLT: "With Arms Wide Open" - Creed
Yeah, he was denying that last night. I think...I dunno, I was drinking XD.
