I was out with the gang investigated a creepy mansion when we stumbled upon a few cards laying on the ground. Since Scooby and I are the size of 1½ dogs, I figured I'd share with you 1½ cards!
Sanity Gnawers ![]() ![]() ![]() Creature - Rat Common? When Sanity Gnawers comes into play, target opponent discards a card at random. 1/1 That rat sure must be terrifying to make someone discard a card, but luckily I'm the strongest puppy in the world so I was able to collect information on another card. I don't have as much information, but I have the most important stuff. Something Kathari ![]() ![]() ![]() Creature - Bird? (U) Flying When ~ deals combat damage to a player, sacrifice it and put two 1/1 red goblin tokens into play. Unearth ![]() ![]() ![]() 2/2 Enjoy the cards, and discuss away!

I hope these are fake because both sound just terrible. 1 extra mana to make ravenous rats discard at random is not worth it

If these are real, I really hope we don't have more stories like those in the OP.
Where is the red in that rat? Doesn't jibe to me, IMO. (Especially considering the power level of common dudes in this set) A bird that dragon fodders? Could be real...orb results anyone?

Well, there's a couple of hits for "kathari", and this bird is definitely Grixian. That's all I can say about the Orb-ing.

Any p/t on the bird? If power is higher or equal than 2 is not a bad card. Sounds
![]() to me.

Or if it was a 2/1.
Oh well, can't all be great. After some more detective work, I am more confident in these cards being real. Lets just hope we can get more specifics about them.

I believe the rats are in the R/B precon (Not 100%, but pretty sure), so you can check the decklist for any possible matching names.

Only possible name seems to be Sanity Gnawers, which does check out in the Orb. I'm not entirely convinced yet, but it's possible to be real.

1BR- 5
rat - 1 When - 36 comes - 32 into - 65 play - 91 target - 45 player -25 discards - 2 a - 125 card - 75 at - 18 random - 15 Only values that raise concerns are 'rat' and 'discards'. We don't have any rats or cards that features the word 'discards'. Given the only one instance of 'rat', if this is real the rat does not have the word 'rat' in it's name and 'rats' yields a 0. vermin - 0 fear - 3 (Maybe?) disease - 0 scary - 0 dread - 1 (...? Probably for another card - Runs over to compiled orb) Someone else can try the bird |

Wait, wouldnt that bird be infinite goblin tokens? Would the sacrifice go off before Unearth's Remove from game trigger?

Sanity Gnawers definitely sounds like rats that force a discard.
I guess the red element could be the random nature of the discard, or perhaps they have haste, making them a smaller version of Hellhole Rats? The bird reminds me a bit of an inverse Airdrop Condor - perfect for my Bird/Goblin deck!

How? It says that it's sacrifice at the end of turn if he attacks. You can only attack once a turn (normally), wouldn't really call it infinite if you can only net two goblin tokens a turn at apparently 5 mana.

When the bird is sacrificed, if it was unearthed, it is removed from the game by a replacement effect because it was trying to go somewhere other than the removed-from-game zone. It doesn't matter whether it's the unearth-trigger or any other effect that causes it to leave play, it will be removed from the game.
