Greetings my fellow Mill goers:
I was recently contacted again, like back in the SOK season, and I have been given the honor of revealing another piece of Rav info for us to enjoy, needless to say it has me excited. This comes from a valuable and trusted source which has provided us with reliable info before. So without further ado, I'd like to reveal another tidy creature from our beloved ![]() Selesnya Conclave guild! Behold the mighty: Seige Wurm 5 ![]() ![]() Creature - Wurm Trample Convoke 5/5 Common That's right, tap those saprolings, elves, snakes and weenies, and take the big wurm smashing towards to the opponent... This is quite a good example of a well costed creature with Convoke IMO, so let's hear your thoughts on this too.... Oh and remember give us the obligitory: GOGO Ravnica!

Ah I see, well that changes alot. I can see this coming into play turn 5 in limited and smashing face.
I still wish we had flavor text, Wurms don't make the best sense in a cityscape. Although Im sure they would make great Siege weapons. Last edited by DevouringZombie : 08-11-2005 at 10:59 PM. Reason: I found out what Convoke did. |

Nice, it costs
more than Giant Warthog, so all you need is a couple little tokens or something and he's better. Common, too. Hey, even if it's your only creature, 5/5 trample is always good. Can end games. Thanks Hydro! Everybody, remember that Hydrokinesis had a source during the SOK season who leaked some info to him a couple times, and that Hydro is a reliable member of the Mill. Nobody doubts his Ambition as a Rumor Lover, anyway... |

GoGo, Hydro!!!!!! You and your sources.
Great little common. Essentially turns each of your creatures into a BoP or the like. Solid cost and power. I really hope GW doesn't end up all janky. It was the loseriest 2-color combo in Invasion block, I hope that isn't repeated. Between that Elephant Cleric and this guy, I think GW'll do okay for itself. And at least this solves that "What job would a Wurm have?" problem we had before. Heh. Thanks, Hydro. |

Remember, Convoke is the WG guild's mechanic.
It allows you to tap creatures to reduce the cost of the card when it is played.

Won't your creatures have to be W or G to make the Wurm cheaper??

judging by the name, wurms could be used much like dinosaurs were in the flintstones...as heavy mover equipment and seige engines. nice find, thanks R_E's source...er, Hydro's source! GOGO RAV!

hmm seems like a solid creature. *wonders how fast you could get it into play*
turn 1- forest, bird\elf turn 2- forest, sosukes summons turn 3- forest, elder turn 4- this dude Only a turn slower then Iwamori and without the "drawback". Might see constructed play depending on how the format shakes out. But most definitly a beast in limited. Obligatory GOGO RAVNICA |

I love this for limited. Early game dorks become acceleration for beef like this, in case of ground stall, or just when they've become irrelevant. Using that random creature enchantment that makes two saprolings, you could rush this guy out fairly early.
Looking like the best set since Apocalypse, so far. I'm thinking WotC might benefit from rumors this time... the anticipation we're drumming up here may well create unprecedented prerelease numbers. |

First of all shouldn't this be Siege wurm instead of Seige? It definitely looks like it's used to siege something or am I missing something. Secondly Woah! That's one mean common wurm right there. It's fast and good sized AND has a trample. Just awesome, although it's not that special except for having the guild mechanic slapped on a 'we have seen thousand times' wurm. We want more original cards.. even in common slots.
Siege wurm... bad mental image of Dune's sandworms. QUICK NINJA EDIT: It's a potential limited bomb in a common slot! When did the wurms grow this mean! Last edited by belannaer : 08-11-2005 at 11:09 PM. |

As far as we know, you can tap untapped creatures of any colour, to reduce the amount of mana you pay for it by one mana of that creature's colour or
. So an artifact creature can be tapped. I think it has perfect green/white flavour. For one thing, it's all about creatures, which is something W/G shares. Also, convoke is like a gathering of power, strength in numbers, helping each other out. That's so W/G, I love it! I'll add this guy to the partial spoiler. Hydro, I hope you didn't steal my source! |
