This deck tries to ramp mana very quickly then tutor for and cast a win condition. I'd add Mana Drain, Timetwister & Imperial Seal if I had them but otherwise I am very happy with the deck. Strictly a 1v1 deck!
it's late, and maybe I'm just tired, but I don't seem so see the 'win conditions' that you plan to tutor for. (what is it? oath into the only creature in the deck?.....i'm lost) I see lot's of cheap spells with yawmoth's will, but you're not trying to storm......what's up?
and why would you run sliver queen as a general without using mana echoes? it's instant win if you can give them haste, or get a goblin bombardment, or something......again, maybe i just don't see how this deck wins....if so, please enlighten me.

Deck is very light on win conditions. Usually I go for the Tyrant, with 2 cheap mana artifacts he can bounce them over and over tapping them for mana each time to generate infinite mana. With that I can usually filter it into colored mana with Gilded Lotus, Coalition Relic, Candelabra, etc. by bouncing those repeatedly. Then I can cast the Queen and make infinite tokens, cast a massive Yawgmoth's Will or stop generating mana when I have the storm high enough to cast Mind's Desire for the deck. If he gets RFG I can also win with Mindslaver lock or by going ultimate with Tezzeret. I can also get a huge storm count with Future Sight + SDT.
I've tested Ad Nauseam a bit and it has been excellent so far, usually drawing 10-15 cards at the cost of losing 15-20 life on turn 3-4. I've also added in a Pact of Negation for a bit of combo protection and helps lower the average mana cast a bit. For these I have cut Ensnaring Bridge since killing my opponent faster is better protection than the Bridge provides. Also cut Mind Over Matter not because it is bad but because it costs 2UUUU and I didn't see anything else I'd rather cut.
Anyone have experience with Tainted Pact? I am worried that I will end up hitting Tidespout Tyrant or Mindslaver while digging for the card I want and having to choose between RFG those or taking them when I don't really want them in my hand.
EDIT: Deck has been updated to reflect the banning of Fastbond & Gifts Ungiven. These cards are basically impossible to replace so I went with Arcane Denial to buy me more time & Ill-Gotten Gains as the closest thing I could think of to Gifts. Should be pretty good after activating Oath of Druids.
I like this idea. Mind me stealing Future Sight + SDT for my Dagson deck? Seems like another good way to go infinite. Now I have an incentive to put Mind's Desire into my deck.

I like designing decks and I am primarily a control player. Using Drain to fight Workshops is like using Exclude to fight Dark Confidant.

Feel free to use anything you like. Any suggestions?
Not sure if you want to add Mind over Matter. I'm a super fan of that card in EDH and would play one in every deck that runs some form of acceleration e.g. Gilded Lotus/Candelabra. Maybe your deck cannot abuse it as well since your Academy U is smaller but with Academy + Candelabra, you could possibly go huge enough to win. I grab Jars to refresh Candelabra, and if you have some sort of Draw engine, you can slowly cycle through:
Academy Ruins
Memory Jar
Candelabra
Mind over Matter through your entire deck
i.e. activate jar, jar trigger on stack use Ruins to put it on top. Draw Jar again, play it and untap Ruins and Candelabra/Tolarian Academy with Mind over Matter, and repeat to keep drawing off. It's less cool than Future Sight + Top, but like that combo, the individual cards are solid on their own. If you do add a MoM, then put 1 Arcanis in for fun
I'm just a huge fan of MoM in blue-based EDH decks. I doubt there's anyway for this deck to abuse Gushbond engine since we can't run 4 Gushes, and Fastbond is now banned. I'm thinking about Tyrant in my Dagson deck. Probably not needed, but I always loved the idea of bouncing Crypts/Vaults/Rings for infi mana (and if you have Gilded Lotus, infi colored mana). Sounds like a good idea to build an Oona deck with multiple infi-mana engine to mill in multiplayer FTW

I actually hadn't even thought about using Mind over Matter in this way. I'll put it back in the deck and try it out some more. Arcanis won't work though as my maximum creature count is 1 due to Oath of Druids. Will make the following changes:
-Lotus Bloom
+Mind over Matter
Lotus Bloom is pretty bad unless it is in my opening hand, probably the most expendable piece of acceleration.
-Counterspell
+Hinder
Hinder costs more but is better at stopping problem generals.
EDIT: I don't think that Future Sight is good enough anymore now that Fastbond has been banned so I am replacing it with Necrologia for the time being. Also need to fit in Orim's Chant and I think Maze of Ith is a safe cut at this point.

What??? No maze of Ith?...Hmmm, you better watch out for angry Korlash, or mad Red Akroma
And if you are cutting Future Sight, what is the purpose of the SDT now?
Maze of Ith was cut because my opponents shouldn't have enough time for attacking creatures to be relevant. You are the last person on the planet (no universe) that I would expect to ever say anything bad about SDT.
EDIT: I was thinking of adding in Silence, Abeyance & Isochron Scepter for a nice little soft lock package (Already have Orim's Chant). Any suggestions for cuts or should I just skip this?

I was talking for you. I think the only reason you had SDT in the deck was for future sight , but if it is for me, i'd put SDT even on my zoo deck
About the soft lock, i think it is fine to run cards that disrupt the opponent enough for you to assamble your victory(witch Shouldnt take to long), but with isochron Scepter the deck might loose a little focus on the real purpose. Insted of spending time softlocking turn after turn your opponet, i think the deck want to spend that time tutoring and digging into the library. However, if you think you can do both at the same time, by all means include your sof lock.
One card that i dont really like in your build(i like it in general though) is maelstrom pulse The decks are singlenton, and unless you facing another sliver queen deck that abuses tokens, pulse in not better than a vindicate in this case. And, if for some reason those tokens are produce with haste, then pulse is even worst IMO
That's true about Scepter, but I do have a lot of targets for it. The Pulse can definitely go, mostly it's in there as a "Destroy target thing I don't like" not really as anti-token tech. I'll switch it out for Abeyance and see how the chants are working for me. If they are good, I'll add in Scepter and Silence, if not then maybe Zendikar will have something good.
Something good, or you meant something broken
