Is thid Deck serious? It may be. It won a state amd has been doing very well on a magic-league, which is a very good indicator of a metagame. In the last 4 T2 Trails there WW has the following finishs: 1st, 2nd, top 4, 2nd. It seems to be good finishes to me. The biggest question is can it beat affinty? Well SotPC helps alot but it loses to affinty most of the time. Any ideas on how to make it better agiasnt Ravanger? Well here is the most popular list over there for WW:
17 Plains
1 Eiganjo Castle
4 Blinkmoth Nexus
3 Damping Matrix
4 Leonin Skyhunter
4 Lantern Kami
4 Suntail Hawk
4 Savannah Lions
3 Isamaru, Hound of Konda
4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
2 Auriok Champion
3 Raise the Alarm
2 Otherworldly Journey
3 Glorious Anthem
2 Roar of the Kha
SideBoard:
2 Kami of Ancient Law
3 Karma
2 Auriok Champion
1 Damping Matrix
4 Psychogenic Probe
3 Leonin Elder
The sideboard is interesting. Mainly the Probes, I can not think of who you side it in agiasnt. Well we will see because I have four setting in my junk rare binder.:)
White Weenie is viable, but it does not nave enough artifact removal to deal with raffinity. The loss of Disenchant has hurt it severely. With the correct build, WW can outdo Raffinity. I know, because I have done it several times with the following list:
White Weenie, by xzibit_a Guys 24
4x Auriok Glaivemaster
4x Leonin Skyhunter
4x Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4x Leonin Elder
4x Suntail Hawk
4x Lantern Kami
The only reason I could think of him having the probes in the sb would be for TaN when they tutor up lands, or play TaN itself. I guess it would put a little extra pressure on, but not much.

“There is some guy playing with Necropotence downstairs—he just paid five life to draw five cards. I don't know how he won.”
Here is my WW deck. The environment at my place is rather unique. Most players play TnN, and various G based control deck, only about 20% of them play affinity and most of them are new players.
20 plains
4 X suntai hawks
4 X lantern kami
4 X Leonin skyhunter
4 X Samurai of pale curtain
4 X Kami of ancient law
4 X Skyhunter skirmisher
2 X Isamaru
________________________
26 creatures
4 X bonespliter
4 X grafted wargear
4 X Otherworldly journey
2 X arrest
________________________
14 other spells
S/B
4 X altar of lights
4 X purge
3 X Reciprocate
2 X arrest
2 X stasis cocoon
They usually put artifact-hate cards in their S/B. After the first game most of the time I sideboard out equipments and sideboard in spells depend on their major win condition ( whether is Artifact, enchantment or Big creature ). I'm considering replacing equipments with spells like glorious anthem and roar of the Kha. But with my mainboard most of the time I can deal 20 damage in 5 turns ( 4 if f***ing lucky) and always caught them off guard with my flying army. But if continue to play equipment in game 2 always means doom! Grafted wargear let me recover very fast after deathcloud and seal victory. Against affinity it really depends on whether I can get my SoPC in play. Usually I try to hold the ground and attack carefully with flyers and holding some instant artifact removal spells in hands. So far the deck is not so impressive, it still needs a lot of improvement and is open for all kinds of critics. But I would still like it to be a aggro deck instead of a more control version because I also play a B/G control deck, and I believe WW is the best aggro deck in the metagame now besides................... affinity of cause.
White Weenie is viable, but it does not nave enough artifact removal to deal with raffinity. The loss of Disenchant has hurt it severely. With the correct build, WW can outdo Raffinity. I know, because I have done it several times with the following list:
Well, white has Purge, and combined with Matrix it surely gives affinity a hard time rushing you. And really, Auriok Champion is a must.
Her lifegain saves you.
The only thing WW has to face at the moment is any control with boardsweepers. And there are alot of these decks at the moment.
But wishing for Armageddon to be reprinted is another thing.
Here's my deck i'm gonna try at our next FNM:
White Weenie
Land: ( 21 )
15x Plains
04x Blinkmoth Nexus
02x Eiganjo Castle
Creatures: ( 23 )
04x Suntail Hawk
04x Lantern Kami
04x Leonin Skyhunter
04x Auriok Champion
04x Samurai of the Pale Curtain
03x Isamaru, Hound of Konda
Other: ( 16 )
04x Bonesplitter
04x Glorious Anthem
04x Raise the Alarm
02x Roar of the Kha
02x Test of Faith
//Sideboard: ( 15 )
04x Damping Matrix
03x Ethereal Haze
03x Purge
01x Roar of the Kha
04x Otherworldly Journey
Do not MD 2 Test of Faith. W.W. is all about attacking and smashing face. If you already go on the defense, your losing. Only defense card you should use, is ethereal haze, which you are, in SB. NO M.D. DEFENSE CARDS.
I suggest adding savannah lions or more roar of kha, etc.
white weenie was the first ever deck i built way back when 4th edition came out so im always bias towards thinking the deck can be teir 1.
IMO wraths should be used in case things get out of hand brand new leaked disenchant-like sorcery could be added. i would use bonesplitter (a must if using glaivemaster, and great to throw on suntail hawk/lantern kami)
also ghoslty prison is great to give a little control.
I've actually been having considerable success with a mildly modified version of IntotheAether's samurai precon project. The matchup against U/G control, which is big in my area, is a virtual bye, and it seems to do decently against everything else. Here goes...
Creatures:
4x Samurai of the Pale Curtain- Duh.
4x Kitsune Blademaster- Quite possibly white's best three drop, aside from, obviously, Lin Sivvi. And, hey, she got banned. So good, so often.
4x Devoted Retainer- Do I wish there was a better white, One mana samurai? Yeah, but this isn't bad. In combat, it's every bit as useful as Isumaru, with none of that legendary crap. And his symmetry with Nagao and Call to Glory is Tres Bon!
4x Mothrider Samurai- The key to WW's victory lies in evasion. Is he expensive? Yeah, but I've killed so many Melokus, dragons, etc. with this guy that he's well worth the extra mana.
3x Konda's Hatamoto- On their own, these guys are playable; basically, a 2/3 wall for W1 with some nifty tricks. However, with a legend in play, these guys go from average to amazing. One of these with a legend on the table has won me tons of games.
3x Kami of Ancient Law- Damn, are these good. The only non-samurai in the deck, they are so great all the time. A 2/2 for 2 isn't special, but a body who kills the shrines, anthems, and worships of the world is well worth the deck spots. Unfortunatly, he's only really good against kind of rogue decks, limiting him to 3 spaces.
3x Nagao, Bound By Honor- Very often, in fact, almost always, I win the turn after I play this guy. HE STAYS.
2x Sensei Golden Tail- In it for fun, but he's also a cheap beater and a legend for our budy the Hatamoto. He has helped to win tons of games, but he isn't quite the "game over" that is Nagao, limiting him to two slots.
Spells-
4x Blessed Breath- I have yet to be in a situation where these are useless. Suddenly, Keiga isn't scary, those final points of damage go in like flynt, and burn, especially shrapnel blast, becomes useless. The splice ability is just better.
3x Otherworldly Journey- When an opponent isn't playing me with U/G control, he's probably playing monoblack. These guys make that matchup not only winnable, but even good.
3x Call to Glory- Nagao is good. These untap all your samurai. The deck's top surprise, and the cause of tons of victorys I shouldn't have had.
1x Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho- Useless with a SotPC in play? Close, but not quite. Absolutely amazing when Samurai not in play? Absolutely. An autowin against MBC and monowhite, when you have the guys to back it up.
Land-
21x Plains
1x Eiganjo Castle
Sideboard is a little chalky. And suggestions?

*The way WW wins against Ravager is to race against it, not on the ground, but by air. What you do is you have alot of flyers that pound him in the sky while you chump block with cards like Raise the Alarm. In addition White has alot of combat tricks and hate in the form of Purge, Samurai of the Pale Curtain, Otherworldly Journey, ethereal haze, etc...
*Against combo decks, including TnN, you can only hope to race them which is where Roar of the Kha comes in handy as they are Glorious Anthems 5-8.
*Glorious Anthem is good, as it isnt affected by artifact hate.
*Equipment- Well depends on your metagame, if there is a lot of artifact hate, try not to run them. If there isnt that much, go wild.
*4 Isamaru is okay, sure sometimes you get stuffed with 2-3, but they do die to stuff like frogmite, eternal witness, Burn, etc. You can also toss them to Chrome mox if needed.
*Savannah Lions are questionable. On the upside, you can play multiples without drawback (unlike Isamaru) and they are 2/1 for 1 mana. On the downside, they only have 1 toughness and dies to stuff like Sakura-Tribe Elder.
*Eight-and-a-Half-Tails are also questionable. On the upside, having one in play with mana is absolute madness to your opponent. On the downside, Will you even have open mana???
*Auriok Glaivemaster and the like aren't that good, because they are dependent on equipment and like you should know, Artifact hate is everywhere.
*Playing Pure White Weenie or W/r weenie is up to you. Where as the W/r version has burn that can remove blockers or deal the last bit of damage, it also runs into mana problems and has to use cards like City of Brass to fix mana base.
If hefner was a rich, gay, playboy and had hot steamy sex with hot guys would you choose him? Of course not, mainly because im a straight male and find that stuff gross.

I have been playing ww alot lately. Here's my build:
Creatures:

4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4 Suntail Hawk
3 Isumaru, Hound of Konda
3 Eight-and-a-Half Tails
4 Savannah Lions
4 Lenion Sky Hunter
RMS-
I feel that ghostly prison basically slows me down to much. Instead of ghostly prison i could be playing 2-4 creatures, or a glorious anthem and something else for 1 mana. Also if your playing something like T&N, ghostly prison really hurts you more than it helps you. Right now GP is in my sideboard.
Ghostly Prison is a SB definite, MD probably. WW will have to race aggro to the death, of course- but not necessarily without help. It locks down most of their creatures for a few turns, lets you block selectively, and saves your real creatures for attacking.

Ethereal Haze pretty much does everything Ghostly Prison is supposed to do, and then some. It wins you the race against aggro, stops rude awakening, and costs a lot less. Also, they don't always see it coming, which is another plus.

Where I play the Metagame isn't all Ravager and TaN so there is room for the Weenie deck to shine. Just last night I came in 5th with this build for W/R samurai.
My white weenie deck looks much like a few posted here so I wont bother posting it. It is apparent that owr worst match up is Tooth and Nail. As such we have gotten the new tool with BoK, Hokori. Those who havent seen it in the Rumor Mill, here it is.
Hokori, Dust Drinker - 2WW
Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
Lands don't untap during their controller's untap steps.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player untaps a land he or she controls.
2/2
How do you guys think this will help us. SB or MD?
I think it's a sideboard card, not maindeck. Against Ravager it'll slow you down more than them, since they get their guys out faster than we do.

o_0 who would even consider this opposing affinity. I dunno why people are still looking for a soulution to affinity. Ever sence I added in 4 Ghostly Prisons, and 4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain (and Otherworldly Journey doesnt hurt either) I havent had a single problem with affinity. Tooth and Nail is my true Kryptonite, but Im hoping big time that this solves my problems. (Man I wish this was 3 mana.)
Curtesy of nontact, Mystical inverter. From another forum website I go to, he had this much to say about a WW deck he'd been working on.
"Well, I hope I can bring a moral boost to the WW fans/players. I just won my FNM tonight running WW. I was debating whether to play MUC or WW and I decided that a fast deck may catch my meta off guard since they're used to me playing controllish decks.
Well here's the list:
18 PLains
2 Blinkmoth Nexus
2 Chrome Mox
4 Samurai of the Pale Curtain
4 Suntail Hawk
4 Leonin Skyhunter
3 Isamaru, Hound of Konda
2 Savannah Lions
2 Lantern Kami
4 Glorious Anthem
4 Otherworldly Journey
4 Raise the Alarm
3 Sword of Fire and Ice
SB:
3 Damping Matrix
4 Purge
4 Ivory Mask
4 Arrest
With this list I have 6 turn one flyers and 5 dogs and cats. I tried replacing the 4 savannah lions I had with lantern kamis and tested for a couple of days going off of what many of you had sugested. What I found was that in a control match-up where you're not facing early blockers the lions would have been nice to have. So just before I headed out the door to play I evened the count of lions and kamis to two a piece. Best of both worlds I felt. It worked out great.
Match one was against a mono green beats deck with beacon blasting combo. The first game I started beating down with small fliers and when I played glorious anthem he scooped while he was at 6 life. Game two I lost. I sided in damping matrix for the swords. Unfortunately I didn't find any matrixes while he kept sacking/recycling BoPs with a nasty Witness Rivive combo. He kept my board clean while he built enough creatures to have sacked them for fatal damage. I scooped while I was at 5 life. I might have still won but I thought it was better to get a fresh start. Game three I again won easily with a good start and a couple Glorious anthems in play.
Match two was against a player who usually beats me(and many others). He played the nafarious B/G deathcloud kokusho deck. He won the toss on game one so he played first. I saw the swamp so I decided to play the anthem in hand before laying my 2/2 creatures. No point losing them to echiong decay. I beat him down pretty savagely forcing him to deathcloud for 5. Droping him to 6 life and me to 14. He didn't notice the two mana I had up for otherworldly journey. Oh, and I had two Anthems in play. So I ended up with a 5/5 flyer when he was left with a guardian idol and a land. Game one in the bag. Game two was short as he couldn't find a green source of mana while I had two champions, several other creatures, and won easily on turn 5.
I'm I boring you guys yet?
Match three was against a fast red deck that won it's previous matches easily. Crazy old school tech like Lava Hounds, goblin king, raging goblins, and the new hearth kami, magma jet and the usually big red fare. Though he manageg to get me to 16 life during the first game 2 Auriok champions did him in. Game two was even faster as he stalled on a mountain and a blinkmoth.
Phew that was long...
MVP: Otherworldy Journey
Runner Up: Raise the Alarm
Second Runner Up: Auriok Champion
After I got my cool new life counter and prise cards(Foil Rancor and John Avon DCI lands), I played a match against a true Big Red deck. Seething song, Arc-slogger, Pulse of the forge etc. I have never beat this person in match play before. He is kind of the house mother(if one could use that analogy since we play at a store). I won game one and game three. Game two was close coming down to him mana burning him self enough to Pulse me fatal.
All in all this experience left me viewing WW in a highly favourable light. One interesting note though was that there was no affinity players, and only one Tron player."
Thought that would be an uplifting story for you fellow WW players, keep at it, we'll pull through!!!

1x Eiganjo Castle
19x Plains
3x Lantern Kami
3x Suntain Hawk
2x Isamaru
4x Savannah Lions
4x Leonin Skyhunter
3x Kami of Ancient Law
4x Samurai of the Pale Curtain
3x 8.5 Tails
3x Reciprocate
4x Otherworldly Journey
4x Glorious Anthem
4x Ghostly Prison
The sideboard isn't completed, but should include wraths, karma, purge and stuff like that.
Ghostly Prison is a SB definite, MD probably. WW will have to race aggro to the death, of course- but not necessarily without help. It locks down most of their creatures for a few turns, lets you block selectively, and saves your real creatures for attacking.

Where I play the Metagame isn't all Ravager and TaN so there is room for the Weenie deck to shine. Just last night I came in 5th with this build for W/R samurai.

Lands don't untap during their controller's untap steps.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player untaps a land he or she controls.

How do you guys think this will help us. SB or MD?
