Default [RAV] green creature tutor (update post 53)

Just got this from "supercoolsexyfunsmart" (the name we're using for the anonymous source who has given us a bunch of RAV cards).

Quote:
theres a rare instant for three g and x, you put a creature with x or less cost form your library into play
Using current oracle wording, that gives us:

Green Creature Tutor -
Instant (R)
Search your library for a creature card with converted mana cost X or less and put it into play. Then shuffle your library.

My first thought was that it was overcosted, but then I realized for your you're basically getting Eladamri's Call + "play that creature using colourless mana this turn". And it's an instant, so you can pull out and lay down something during combat, or at the end of your opponent's turn.

Therefore, I approve.

It's a gr8 card. Idd new T&N, but only for one creature, so u get no cool sexy creature combos like with T&N so easily.

1st
2nd

/me is disappointed by the green rare

I will use it in my elf deck to power out a verdant force though in casual

If they costed it 1 less it would have been good too

Yes I am biased and want broken green cards !

EDIT: realised it's an instant , yes i should read but i'm tired.
Ok it's quite reasonable.

its not nearly as strong as t&n, t&n gets you 2 creatures this olny gets you one and its limited by its cost, the super color intinsitve of it dosent help either

Edit:however this is a good card

Thanks RE and supercoolsexyfunsmart. Card looks like it has potential and we know what AaFo was refering to recently. Btw, know you can do something fun with the Tron after Ravnica, but it will be too weak imho.

Looks like the Urzatron was in 9th for a reason. It's good, but it's no T&N. But who knows, with all the mana accel and mana fixing in Standard, this could easily see play.

"fixed" tooth and nail.

Honestly, if it has been a sorcery, it could have cost ... and might be overcosted to see play. As an instant, paying seems like it's too much. Sure, green has lots of land, and on occasiona it does have 9 mana to tutor for Kokusho #2, or would like to pay 6 to witness... but this is just overcosted.

Green's been waiting for this card for a while... too bad they couldn't make it efficient enough to play. Even at at instant speed, this would have been pricy... but good. But at , it's a slap in the face. Tooth backlash has overcosted it. B.F.S.

Yes... when white weenie's about to swarm you to death on turn 4, you can tap your birds and lands to fetch as STE to block with. Oh, wait, that's not good...

Maybe it's best used as an "intelligent" card rather than a "can I get 14 mana so I can use this to fetch a DSC" card?

I'm pretty sure if it had been a Sorcery, you would have said "if only this was an Instant for a couple more mana, it would be playable... but as a Sorcery, it's too slow and has no surprise factor, and too easily countered".

I love that card. I could use that in many of my decks.

Hmmmmm..... HHHMMMMMMMMM ... hmmmmmmmm.......

So.........so.........

so.

I like the card. I'm trying to think of what broken green card I want to tutor for and put directly into play. I mean if I had 9 Mana like I did for tooth And Nail then that means I can go get any 6 drop creature. I could go get a Kokusho but that hardly wins the game on its own. Perhaps... Godo! tutor for Godo put him into play at the end of your opponent's turn. Godo comes into play go get Tatsumasa put it into play. Your turn untap and equip then attack for 16. I like that!

But I'm gonna cap it at 6 drop creatures for effectiveness in comparison to Tooth. The best part is that it gets the creature at the end of your blue opponent's turn and can be Juiced. I dunno. It still seems really powerful and could be what they were talking about "Something similar to Worldly Tutor"

XGG at sorcery would have been really really good.
Its not 2 bad with all the new mana fixers, and allows u to play any "creature with effect (when enters play)" u have in da deck at instant speed.... but i dont like it much eitha ^^U (I rather Time of Need).
