The best way to describe this deck: CARD DRAW POWER!
I you like drawing cards, control the board state at all time, and put to the test your thinking skills, then this is the type of deck you want to play. It draws hate, but it can take care of multiple threats at the same time.
I've had games where the whole table (usually 4 men tables) is agaist me and came out victorius. Some other games you just can't, however they also run out of resources trying to take you out.
The only downside, you are going to feell very exausted after you finish the game. But if you had a good battle all be soon forgotten, and you will be ready to play some more in no time.
You, as everyone else that ignores me, should use Proteus Staff. It is really good by itself as a way to get rid of generals, but is amazing if you have a Vedalken Shackles in play to combo with it.

I like Proteus Staff a lot, but i think this card has a home in other EDH deck that i own: Niv Mizett, due to the tons of stealing effects that the deck has. I will post it fairly soon and link it over here. However, for Azami dont feel is too necesary, but interesting.
I used to play future sight with the SDT, but i cut them both. The reason: Azami doesnt need this kind of help. She is mad crazy about drawing cards, so the mana that i'd spend to use on the Future Sight+STD combo, i rather save it for other spells.
Helm of AwakeningEtherium Sculptor can be a little counterproductive for the locks, since im trying to deny mana acces for everybody, but, i'd make a good count on artifacts and see how much i play them in early turn. Good suggestions thoug.
Tolarian Academy would be a good addition, but not really necesary. That is why i havent spend the $20 on it.

I agree on this, Azami is probably the only general that is blue and doesn't need card draw. Even Fact or Fiction isn't good enough. I'd probably cut Scrying Sheets for another Island. Extraplanar Lens is always amazing for you but I don't ever remember you using Scrying Sheets effectively.
About the Etherium Sculptor i tried to say that i need a good count on my Artifacts, and analize how much and how early i play them.
Because i know the deck looks like i has a lot of Artifacts, but i dont think the decks is realy heavely on me casting a bumch of Artifacts on a turn or two.
The Sculptor could be better is a deck like Sharrum.
EDIT: Sometimes i feel the deck has so many creatures, however its a tribal deck. What do you guys think, are there creatures worth cutting...and for what cards??
I saw this card played on someone that was playing Azami... They didnt know what to do. Then it got Greaves the turn after. Thats a really easy to cast Answer. The one thing I dont like about Azami or other Tribal Decks there are so many answers that people run main deck that can stop you from keeping her online. Pithing Needle ruins you... Since its a new deck if you keep playing with it and addressing your strengths and weaknesses youll see that having cards like SDT is a good addition to your deck. Just the fact that you said you dont need SDT shows you need more practice.

OK. I have to agree that LLAWAN can be hard times for AZAMI, but is stopable. No sweats.
Actually, i have a friend that he runs TEFFERI as his commander and he has LLAWAN in his deck. So, i've played against her.
To start, i just dont let her come into play. If you check my list, i have SOO many counterspells that it is preatty hard for me to get outcounter(hopefully i get a FOW preatty soon). adding to the mix caards like trickbind and voidmage husher. commandeer is also a good answer.
Another point is the fact that i might have a bouncer in play before she hits play.Make her go back, and ready to counter her if i couldnt the first time.
If none of this works, i can use my artifacts like O-Stone, disk, or Portus staff, wich will be included soon!
Another permanents that can help me fight her if she gets into play(wich would be hard for my opponents to get through my counter barrier) are:
All this is assuming i get outcounter or that i couldnt assambled my lock before he played his LLAWAN.
About SDT, i have to disagreed with you.
i've played my AZAMI deck uncountable times so i know what am i talking about.
I'll picture itb to you in 2 scenarios:
1.You just drew 5 cards with Azami, then you proceed to Top. You get to dig into you deck for three new cards.NICE!
2.You just drew 5 cards with Azami, then you proceed to Scroll rack for your hand(per say you have 7 cards in hand, where most of the time you have alot more). You get to dig your deck for 7 new cards. AWESOME!!!!
That is why i preffer to run Scroll Rack before the Sense's top.
And this commet comes from a true FAN of SDT...trust me!
So maybe the guy you saw that got outplayed by LLAWAN didnot what to do because his deck wasnt ready enough.
And yes...Pithing needle is really bad for me too. But i've got hindered, spin into myth and other sort of thing. Its rough, but Azami's army can though it out until i get her back somehow.
Maybe the fact you assumed too fast that i didnt know how my deck works just because i dont play SDT is the same reason why you couldnt find answers in a simple deck like MUC
Are you sure you have Fatestitcher in your deck and not Fatespinner? I am using this as guide to building my own Azami deck and was curious.
Its Fatesticher...He is a wizard and he taps or untap things wich is one of the maine sub-theme for the deck.
He goods good with: My general, The Orbs, Other wizards, some artifacts like Protuss Staff, and Veldalken Shackels, Lands...you get the point.
I'd love to see you list and compare, and maybe give some advices. Glad i can help!;)
idk if this list is for you, as its not really very friendly for multiplayer. it combos off pretty consistently, usually turn 4-5. just thought you might want some suggestions
edit: ionspired sprite/merrow levitator are the best wizards in the deck
Yes sr, your deck is totally geared to 1v1. Wich is not bad, but is not my purpose for Azami. I learned she is powerfull enough to run both version. Yes, she is insane in multiplayer too!
About your deck a can give you few suggest to consider Candelabra of Tawnos Power Artifact infinite mana with Grim Monolith Glen elendra Archmage She is one of my favorite.
Since you are running Future Sight you can add Sensei's Divining Top to draw your library.
Finally i want to point out a really nasty play that i usually gear for everytime i play, however is more for multiplayer, its powerfull and fun(Just for you)...Since we have massive card drawing or/and infinite mana, i play Distorting Wake or/and Turbulent dreams to make everybody cry.:D
*Our playgroup is very tolerant. The only card that was going to get house banned was Emrakul but wizards saved us the trouble. So we allow EVERYTHING...from land destruction to super mean decks. However we frawn upon 2-card instant win combo decks, such as Niv-Curiosity like.We havent banned them because they play legal EDH cards, but we make sure next time they play them they dont enoy it.
This is why i thought about breaking my Azami+Mind over Matter deck.Well...I couldnt, so i made it fair.
So after fighting against the idea to break this deck apart i decided to give it a
change. So now the deck is kinda "fair." I know the general is the main problem of being powerfull, but the rest of the deck is meant for fun games.Nothing busted like Mind over Matter
So now i need help to make competive enough to win while keeping the fairness of the deck.Dont hold back on giving suggestions unless is a 2 card instant win combo.Otherwise, fire away.
I think why i need the most is win-cons.Since my combo is gone, i dont know if Coat of Arms will be enough.
The way this deck finishes is by one puch kills. It uses Ulamog, Blightsteel Colossuss, or Sundering Titan, or even General damage with Emperya Plate.
Basiclly, It's a tru control deck that holds, holds, holds, and then, It hulk-smash faces in one swing.
The win condition is the big question isn't it? Fortunately I don't think you need too many with the draw power in this deck. You could go with the Eldrazi Titans who also nicely shuffle your graveyard back in which could be nice because you don't have a whole lot of recursion. My other thought was Memnarch since being an artifact he is much easier to tutor up and you can recur him with Academy Ruins. The other option is to not play win conditions, just steal other people's! Bribery, Acquire, Blatant Thievery, Clone and friends, stuff like that. I'd pick either big monsters or jack your stuff and just add the support for one of those.
I took out Patron Wizard and Fatesticher since I think they are geared more for the 1 v 1 type of built. Finally, I addded Fatespinner and Twisted Reallity and took out Winter Orb to give it a change.
I dont know how this is going to work but it'll give me a good idea.
To clarify, my bench doesn't mean that I want to add all the cards in the deck right away. They are just the cards that i usually look into first when I want to make changes. Sometimes, I even find cards that weren't in the bench and make the cut before someothers that are been waiting for a while.
Not sure what "Twisted Reality" is, but if you're referring to Reality Twist, that's illegal in your deck (note the plethora of colored symbols in the rules text).

It's Reality Twist as you pointed it out. I guess I was thinking about MTGO where they allow you to play with those type of cards.

So Azami is up!
I added Trinket Mage and Meekstone to justify his appereance. I already had some other targets.
I also added another win con...Blightsteel Colossus and Lighting Greaves to make sure it kills people.I also have Emperyal Plate in the deck already.
I took out Patron Wizard and Fatesticher since I think they are geared more for the 1 v 1 type of built. Finally, I addded Fatespinner and Twisted Reallity and took out Winter Orb to give it a change.
