Default [DotP] Coming to PC in Summer, PS3 in Fall, Expansion Info!

Just received this press release...

=============================

With more than 250,000 copies sold, Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers continues to be one of the most downloaded games on Xbox LIVE Arcade. Now on the heels of the recently released first expansion, Wizards of the Coast is ready to answer the question: What’s next?

In 2010, Wizards of the Coast will release two brand new expansions for the current XBLA title and Duels of the Planeswalkers will launch for the PC and PlayStation®3 gaming platforms. Here are some more details about the 2010 Duels of the Planeswalkers product lineup.

·More Magic: The Gathering on Xbox LIVE Arcade
Spring and summer 2010 – The Duels of the Planeswalkers expansions for XBLA will begin arriving in the first of the year and follow with a release in the summer. Similar to the first expansion, the two releases will feature new cards, Planeswalkers, puzzles and surprises to keep players challenged throughout the year.

·Expand your Duels to the PC
Summer 2010 – The PC version offers gamers the same style of gameplay as the XBLA title but with an extra bonus.

·Discover Duels of the Planeswalkers on the PlayStation 3
Fall 2010 – Magic: The Gathering fans worldwide can experience Duels of the Planeswalkers on the PlayStation 3.* The title will feature similar content and gameplay as the Xbox LIVE Arcade version.

*The PlayStation 3 version will be available in Japanese in 2011

Lol. Over a year from when it released on the 360?!? The game better be free by then. A promo might help it sell well though. I know the Garruks are still in; Ive been looking for ppl with 360s I could buy the game for and take the promo. Although disappointing, nice catch.

Hopes, hopes, hopes that Duels of the Planeswalkers is going to use M10ified wording and ruling in the future.

So you like the "battlefield" and other new terms? Well, I hate it with all my heart, and I feel sick each time I see a card that reads "Put something onto the battlefield." I know I will eventually get used to it, but it will take a lot of time...

Sounds like deck customization to me.

Since DoTP is now coming to the PS3, it can be safe to assume that MTG:T will not just be a 3D version of it.

I wouldn't be too surprised.

In fact, that could be the "bonus" that PC versions come with.

God I love how absurdly wrong IBA was about this. Just checked MOTL and after 2 years it's at a solid $5.94.

$0.75 my butt.

you basically have that with MTGO, if you play "Planeswalker" Format its all the DotP cards, of which you can make your own decks.

Don't have a chance to play DotP yet.

But I believe DotP PC version would be nice to play on laptop when you're offline, traveling and do not have internet access.
