Alright so basically I am going to do the same thing I did with my Garruk Deck (see my sig) and create a Liliana Deck that would run a lot of Liliana type spells (Mutilate, Tendrils etc) and was wondering if I can get some Insight... so here is the deck as is it works pretty well in singles I haven't lost a match yet mind you I haven't played many matches and it is CASUAL.
The creatures are kind of lackluster...However, I wanna keep it mono black Liliana goodness!
I was wondering if there are any demons worth adding just to keep it Liliana flavored and if any one remembers what else she summoned in Agents of Artifice besides the specters please let me know it might be worth adding... as always thanks for any suggestions.:D
As far as I remember she never really summoned Demons, in fact she is actively trying to kill some.
For Flavor sake I think the rats need to go.
She isn't really all about plague and what not so, the rats should really be 86ed.
As far as the rest of it goes......from what I gathered in AoA she wasn't that much of a "Necromancer" (I know she is labeled as one) but she seems more in tune with spirits and shades.
So go from there.
If you really feel compelled to but Zombies in the deck (and Skeletons for that matter) at least pick good ones.
True she never summoned demons she did summon an angel however if I remember correctly and I wanted a demon as a finisher... Ravenous Rats helps discard and what would you add or take away from the deck... like what good zombies or skeletons? I'm open to all suggestions also I was thinking of Tombstalker however that is very expensive...
run a discard theme. It works with liliana's first and third ability, run more hypnotic specters. Some abyssal specters. Definitly some dark rituals. The majority of the creatures u have are relatively useless. So get rid of most of them. Run more discards, end with nxyathid or liliana's third ability
edit: consider avatar of woe. Since i'm suggesting a discard theme it works really well

You are correct she did indeed summon an Angel. The problem with it is that the only Angels that fit the theme either suck (I am looking at you Fallen Angel), or require W (Desolation Angel, Angel of Despair) or worse yet on help in Grixis (Crypt Angel) based decks.
Dude as for what to add or take away, hit the Gatherer.
Do an advanced search on Specters, Spirits, and Shades.
As Raver said a strong discard theme would be good.
I like the discard theme and definitely going to try to grab some pro tour versions of the avatar of woe. I'll come back with more cards in mind and I'll try to grab a play set of dark rituals somehow... off to the gatherer!
EDIT: Ok so I checked the Gatherer perhaps I am naive but are there really any good spirits?
i know this may seem like a bad card but i suggest akuta, born of ash
let me explain
-its a spirit
-using a discard theme then i'm guessing u would have more cards in your hand then your opponent
-can be played over and over again
tombstalker
-yes, ur going to be using alot of spells that involves making the opponents discards so why not take advantage of the cards sitting in the discard pile doing nothing?
however do consider that its a demon and does not fit the theme
avatar of woe
-enough said
guul daz specter
-strictly better then abyssal, run a couple copies
crypt ripper
-4 cmc for 2/2 with haste and a shade ability.....i would prefer nantuko but thats pretty expensive
genju
-a shade like enchantment that comes back over and over again. I like that, a 4-of, thats what i think
Alright thanks for the suggestions any specific cards that should be taken out and Tombstalker kind of fits the theme in ways that Liliana made that Demonic Pact even though it wasn't with this one in particular and yeah Nantuko and Tombstalker are quite expensive.
EDIT: I'm thinking of
-4 Drudge Skeletons
-1 Swamp
-2 Fleshbag
-3 Death Greeter (Kinda Useless in discard)
+2 Guul Draz Specter
+2 Genju of the Fens
+4 Abyssal Nocturnus (Genious!!)
+ 2 Avatar of Woe
and well... hmm what else should I take out and add to fill the spots
2 Liliana Vess
LANDS 21
21 Swamp
CREATURES 8
4 Ravenous Rats
4 Hypnotic Specter
SPELLS 30
4 Duress
4 Dark Ritual
2 Necropotence
2 Snuff Out
4 Tendrils of Corruption
4 Mutilate
2 Mind Sludge
4 Corrupt
3 Consume Spirit
2 Liliana's Specter
2 Nyxathid
4 Mire's Toll
2 Quest for the Nihil Stone
3 Sanguine Bond
1 Haunting Echoes
The creatures are kind of lackluster...However, I wanna keep it mono black Liliana goodness!

Garruk's Predators

Dark Ritual is a must.
After that just pay close attention to the name of the cards and there effect, be mindful of Flavor.
Another option would be to wait until next year because then we will know WAY more about Liliana Vess.
@ Raver : Nxyathid doesn't fit the theme, but good call on Avatar of Woe.

EDIT: Ok so I checked the Gatherer perhaps I am naive but are there really any good spirits?
Anyways Here are some new cards I am considering:
Tombstalker Even with it's price...
Avater of Woe
Guul Draz Specter Any Better ones...
Crypt Ripper (I already have a playset)
Genju of the Fens I have 2
Garruk's Predators
Liliana's Corruption
let me explain

-using a discard theme then i'm guessing u would have more cards in your hand then your opponent
-can be played over and over again
only bad part is that it costs a swamp to play
Garruk's Predators
Liliana's Corruption
