The December newsletter came around with this image attached. No word on how it's going to be distributed.
As for the card itself, it seems fun, but not in the same league of awesome as the other HH cards - although you can build around it more. Combo it with Death Pits of Rath, or an effect that makes your opponent take the damage (I think there is one, but I can't remember what it's called).
Just a little bit disappointing when compared to past cards.
The name is genius, and I think they could've come up with something a little cooler for it.
Season's Beatings is sure to be a fun card to play, and feels like an unglued card - although it's ability is probably something they could actually print in a real set.
I'm going on record right now and stating that before the end of 2012 we will see foil dual lands in booster packs (The real, Alpha dual lands). You can quote me on that.

Am I the only one who thinks the flavour on this card is kinda dark? It fits the name well, but the image of a family of creatures dealing damage to eachother at Christmas doesn't scream funny to me.
Just imagine its a family of goblins. After all goblins beating the snot out of each other is hysterical.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.

You get one by having a good working relationship with WOTC. "Customer", unfortunately, isn't good enough. Which means that we, the unwashed masses, must resort to bribery, skulduggery, or other underhanded methods of online purchase. Your FLGS MIGHT be willing to sell a copy, but it's definitely a might, and five people who wanted it more already got there and asked about it.

I actually find this card ridiculously funny. I want it really badly now. More than Gifts Given, even, to be honest. Even though Gifts Given is much more playable.

Also, I too believe this is too dark to be funny. Although I must say that goblins are funny, pain on goblins is funny, but pain on goblins during their holidays can bring up too many bad memories for some...Glad I'm not among them, though.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say 2010 has a White Santa Claws Planeswalker.
It would make sense, but might be too obvious. There's a subtle, unexpected edge to the stuff they've come out with thus far.
I think people are taking a leap from general holiday strife (exaggerated by goblins) to physical abuse. EVERYONE experiences (and laughs about) holiday strife whereas physical abuse is a year-round problem no one thinks is funny.
And I don't think the flavor text is intended to reference Iraq/Afghanistan (which isn't funny). I think it is firmly intended to evoke the fantasy context (which is funny).
EDIT: Goblin humor afterall parallels ethnic humor, but with the fantasy twist makes it acceptable. It's the exact same reason 95% of the card concepts aren't absolutely horrifying. For instance, the violence represented in MTG is not considered acceptable by most people in real life.
