Per request, I've been asked to discuss my thoughts about Recycle / Aluren. I've ran a build for several years, but have kept it "fun" and it's full of 1xs and 2xs so I could probably tighten it up to be more consistent; thus, I will not present my full decklist, but rather some thoughts I've had about my deck.
Comments / decklists / new additions welcome.
Engine:
_x Recycle
_x Aluren
Can be expensive $. My build is weenie swarm and can hold its own, so you can probably go as low as 2x each, but go higher if you can afford. I only have 2 each I used as engine / finishers.
My build is goes with the idea that either of these are great for your deck and if you get both you usually win. Weenies are cheap, so Recycle means you play many of them. Aluren lets you drop any of your critters for free and at instant speed. If you get both, well, you can drop a chunk of your library.
- Overall, the regenerators have been fun; it's cool to drop them and first strike at instant speed.
- I run a full playset of Soul Warden or the green version. (Broken in Two-Headed Giant - I had our team at 130 life one game, bwah ha!)
Support:
- You may consider draw. If you Recycle into a land, and you've already played a land, you are stuck. I've ran stuff like Crown of Convergence to adjust my library. Artifact draw could work.
- You may consider stuff to save your hand. If discard is everywhere, Recycle can kill you. I've ran Gossamer Chains and/or Broken Fall as backup. If you land one, you can bounce it and play it to build up you hand. Nonetheless, it's card draw with Recycle.
Other ideas:
- Recycle is also black with Null Profusion. A green / black build is possible.
- Tons of combo decks abound. Cavern Harpy, for one example.
Some ways to get out of Recycle problems:
1) Sometimes you end up with 2 lands in hand: you may put in a few spells with Retrace.
2) If you hand is discarded - tough luck. You may put in bouncy stuff like Quirion ranger or Ghost Town to remedy that.
3) A bit risky, but Mana Severance
If you want to make the combo pieces just 2-ofs. Maybe you need a turor for that.
Also, no reason to play Null profusion, as Aluren and Recycle are already in the same color. Even if you are playing green/black.

Recycle says when you play a *card* you draw a card. Lands count.

3 CMC or less creatures:
- Stick with 3 converted mana cost to less to abuse Aluren.
- Green of course. I went green and white.
- I went with efficient green and white critters, and have used all sorts of stuff like:
Watchwolf
Savannah Lions or reprint
Leonin Skyhunter
Paladin en-Vec
Mirri, Cat Warrior
Suntail Hawk
Rootwalla (These have been nice as you will have extra mana to have a 2G 4/4)
Nessian Courser
Mire Boa
River Boa (These have been great too! Recommend)
Nantuko Shaman (Works with the engine)
Thornweald Archer (or reprint) ((I just love this guy, him plus Aluren is surprise!))
Ranger en-Vec

Cavern Harpy + Soul Warden/Essence Warden
That's infinite lose of life and potentially infinite life.

Yes, I know. What I meant is you get stuck because of the 1 land per turn limit.
If you can't afford Recycle, you could use Gaea's Touch, Rites of Flourishing, or Oracle of Mul Daya.
