1. Nights will last a maximum of three real world days. If all choices come in sooner, night may end sooner. If your choice doesn’t get in on time, you will do nothing.
2. The day will last as long as it needs to. If discussion lags, I may impose a deadline.
3. Votes must be in BOLD or they will not be counted.
4. Unvoting is not required, but is appreciated.
5. Lynches happen after a majority is reached. Once a player has the required amount of votes, he or she may be considered dead and you may not unvote. (well, you can, but I will ignore it.)
6. You may also VOTE: No Lynch. If a majority vote for this the day will end without a lynch.
7. If a deadline is reached with no majority achieved there will be no lynch.
8. No posting after you have been lynched, please (a short farewell post, like “Bah,” is okay, but no talking about the game)
9. Do not edit or delete your posts.
10. Every role PM contains a section in Quotation, which is there strictly for flavor purposes, and then an additional section which describes the nature/abilities of the specific role.
11. Do NOT quote ANY part of these PMs. Aside from it being a bad idea in general, this will be the quickest way to get yourself mod-killed. Do not try to get tricky with this either. I will be monitoring closely.
12. In this game, the "Heroes" function as the traditional "Mafia," while the "Town" is comprised of the denizens of Moria (and possibly elsewhere). The Heroes names will appear in Blue. This is not meant to be confusing to anyone.
Edit: because it's still apparently too confusing. Yes, the "Town" names are in Red.
The Evil Win Condition is : Eliminate all those not loyal to Sauron.
13. No communication outside the thread unless your role specifically allows it.
14. If you anticipate being gone for more than 72 hours, please post in the thread to say so.
15. The Mod. is always right.
Remember this is a game. Be considerate and try to have fun.
MOD NOTE: Although the setting for this game is the Mines of Moria, that is strictly for flavor purposes, and you should not make assumptions about what roles might or might not be present in the game based solely on that. In addition, the story I will be telling is also strictly there for flavor purposes. It may or may not (at my whim) end up bearing ANY relationship to what is actually occuring in the game. It will most likely also not track Tolkien's original tale. At all. You should absolutely not use anything you read in one of the Chapter scenes as evidence for or against a particular argument. For example, there WILL be deaths that take place in the story that concern characters who are not in this game and who also did not die in the original tale.
The relevant information for players, such as who has been eliminated from the game during the Night, will always appear BELOW the Chapter scenes.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
The Great Western Gate of Moria swung slowly inwards. The nine companions quickly gathered up their belongings and approached the entrance. None could make out the interior. What little light the stars provided outside did not cross over the gate's dark threshold.
Gandalf turned to the others.
"Now we must be wary," he said. "It may be that we shall find friends on the other side of this gate," he eyed Gimli, "Or it may be that we shall not. Best be cautious then, and quiet, until we know for certain."
With that Gandalf raised his Staff and the tip suddenly glowed with a soft white radiance. The darkness retreated from the light, and a worn cobblestone walkway appeared. They set their marching order thus: Gimli walked in front with Gandalf, to assist him navigating the pathways, and Boromir took his place following those. The Hobbits traveled in the middle of the group, for their own safety and protection. Legolas and Aragorn took up the rear.
Directly inside the gate, the walls fell away, and the roof stretched out high above them, beyond the light being cast from Gandalf’s staff. They entered a chamber roughly one hundred feet wide, and more than that lengthwise. The floor was dirty and covered with stone. The walls were bare of any ornament and cracked in many places. There were no sounds, no signs of life.
“Well,” said Pippin, glancing at the dust covered rocks, the debris littering the floor, and other general signs of disuse. “This doesn’t exactly give one a great deal of hope for the ‘Were going to find friends on the inside’ possibility, does it?”
“Moria is large, friend,” Gimli reassured him. “And the company that Balin led here five years ago could not possibly have occupied the entire interior. Even in five years, and with twice the numbers that they brought with them. No, this signifies nothing, except that no one has passed this way in recent memory.”
The group moved forwards slowly, cautiously, stepping over stones and crevasses in the floor. Frodo glanced back over his shoulder as they moved farther from the large stone portals and the faint light of the outside. He did not regret putting some distance between themselves and the dark lake which bordered the Gate, but a thought occurred to him then:
“Should we close the door?” asked Frodo, turning towards Gandalf and Gimli. “If our aim is to remain secret, might not an open doorway reveal our presence?”
“It might,” agreed Gandalf. “But it might also serve to block our escape, should the need to retreat quickly arise, which is something I do not wish for. This chamber has not been used for some period of time. Hopefully, it can remain so for the duration that we need to pass through these halls completely.”
With that, they continued inwards, treading as lightly as they could.
Outside, under the stars. the lake stirred. Ripples formed on its black oily surface. A shimmering green mass broke through the top of the water, rolled gently, and just as quickly submerged once more, into the depths.

Also, attention everyone (and especially newer players, who might not know yet when stuff is important or when it is a joke). If you are an elf or hobbit, it is important that you claim that now or forever hold your peace. Kthxbye.
Would anyone be opposed to me using a one-shot daykill today?
The daykill gambit was cuter last time. Now it's starting to grow old.
Though if you do happen to have one this time around, waiting until the end of Day One definitely seems like the play.

Actually, I'm giving it a little more thought, and it's probably unlikely that lrd is actually scum. He may be neutral though.
The scum were allowed to talk pregame, so it seems unlikely that scum would have actually been caught with Raf's plan. Lrd isn't really a noob, so I would have expected him to have talked to his buddies during the pregame (and not make that mistake so easily). My vote will stand for now though, as I'm still having trouble seeing a hobbit or elf being aligned with the denizens of Moria.
Pre post edit: and yeah, sorry lrd for misspelling your name.
I understood your sarcasm, and I'm wondering why you are sarcastic. It's a great idea.
It's only a great idea if the scum team is bad enough to blindly follow instructions that get them auto-lynched. Based on the player list I'm pretty sure we're not so lucky.
What meta are you using for this conclusion? It seems to me like you're just spreading weak suspicion without proof. I would prefer if your attacks had more substance so I could properly respond to the accusations.

It sounds like Raf has some role based info. Although, I would guess that claiming human or dwarf would help as well.
But you're probably right, humans probably don't need to claim now. But anyone that's a dwarf, elf, or hobbit should.
