Hello. I'm having a big doubt:
Why do people who has access to green, play on the mid-long game, and do not use Counterbalance or blue control, play Sensei's Divining Top instead of Mirri's Guile as a mechanism to draw in quality and having a "combo" with Dark Confidant ?
I know, Mirri's Guile just lets you see the top three cards of your library during your upkeep, but that's just what you need for drawing. And with Mirri's Guile you do not need to pay any activation cost.
I mean, this green enchantment can be used in decks like Deadguy Ale, Rock, Pikula, Eva Green, etc. Or I'm wrong?
I would like to hear your opinions. Thank you.

SDT is much better in that you can use it after you draw and you can even get the gamewinning spell that is sometimes 4th from the top. It also protects itself using the draw ability. You can also stack the triggers to draw then re-arrange the top 3. So ya SDT is better.
Mirri's guile is more vulnerable, can't draw and only triggers once. I'd go with top just because it can protect it's self and can adapt to the game state. (you put out a dude, they are gonna bolt it, pay 1, tap, new dude in your hand Vs. hoping that doesn't happen.)
Guile is only good in enchantress...because it's an enchantment. There's also the color issue; top requires colorless mana whereas guile requires green. And SDT can protect itself by it's tap ability and you can do it after your draw step to see one card deeper.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
1) You can activate top multiple times in a turn
2) Top is not as vulnerable as guile because you can respond to a spell targeting top by returning it to the top of your deck
