Limited bomb if it's real, not all that impressive for constructed, I would rather play Flameblast Dragon to knock out that pesky blocker than kamikaze my dragon into him... and the Flameblast is hardly impressive either.
Yeah he can swing over a ground defense and ping off the scariest blockers so you can swing in for the kill next turn. I think he's good, but not too shocking. RRR is tricky, but for that ability I think it's worth it.
Maybe it's just me, but the first thing that popped into my head is that he looks like a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon...would be a fun card to alter.
Would 5/6 have been unreasonable? Do they love BSA that much?
It still wouldn't kill baneslayer... I meant it in the fact they attack with slayer...you can attack back and kill her....o wait you can't she has pro dragons

Jacerator is an aggro deck - it just wins by attacking the library, it doesn't really control the board other than to play a few Fogs

Yes. Although we still have Malakir Bloodwitch and Vampire Nighthawk. I don't think they'll put out a flier that will kill her and live and have a decent effect or cost as little that isn't a demon or dragon.

I guess I had a brainfart right there. Rarely are the flavorful protections relevant, maybe that's why.

Heh, the way i see it any time a big flying creature comes out it has to be a dragon or demon. That way the lovechild baneslayer can still be ok. So if you see a 5/5 or bigger...assume its a dragon or demon.

I get why you mention Bloodwitch, but what does Nighthawk have to do with this discussion? Nighthawk's deathtouch doesn't even enter into the equation because of BSA's first strike.
Ok, its not the best dragon. So? I mean, you guys sound like you want Wizards to print a 1RRR 7/7 Flying Dragon with a funnier drawback than AP.
This is decent. Not constructed worthy, but still, we need those kind of stuff.
Why do we 'need' stuff like this. I don't think anybody is asking for a 1RRR 7/7 but dropping it to 2RRR would at least make it playable. Still probably wouldn't see much play and I don't see it warping Limited at that cost either with the tiple R.
Mordant Dragon 3RRR
Creature: Dragon Rare
Flying
1R: Mordant Dragon gets +1+0 until EoT.
Whenever Mordant Dragon deals combat damage to a player, you may have it deal that much damage to a creature that player controls.
5/5
He's definately a bomb. Shivan Dragon + Terminate = fun times. It's quite a scary creature.
flameblast dragon says hi.
The triple red kills this card.
When will we see a baneslayer style dragon
Standard : Mono Black Control
Pauper : Mostly U/R Post but also every deck except infect, mono green aggro and tortured existence.
I am very disappointed with this card.
Bad flavor, bad ability.
Decent enough, but I think I'll take Hellkite Charger or Flameblast Dragon over this anyday

It doesn't matter how much toughness it has, it still can't do anything against baneslayer.

I know about Flameblast, but this can do both without spending any mana after the initial 6.
This is not decent. It's a poorly designed imitation of flameblast dragon.
