That's it. I'm a big fan of manlands and Vivids here - manlands kill the control decks that this deck otherwise can't handle.
This deck can always win or control the battlefield on turn 4 if it can get 3 red mana on turn 3 - which is why you can't skimp on the lands. Ravnica duals are nice; Shadowmoor hybrid lands are AMAZING. You're only going to need 8 mana at most over the course of a game - 2URRRRG (for a Hunt, an Assault, and an Outburst) - so you're going to need to find a way to make that reliably.
This is a potential top-tier deck and you can build it with cards you already have. It costs under $20 for the cards and a basic mana base, and the deck comboes out faster than many decks in the current environment.
I love the idea of the Seismic Assault/Treasure Hunt deck (I think Seismic Hunt has a bit of a ring to it), but why not include all 4 Seismic Assaults and 4 replacement Lightning Storms in the sideboard? That way you can more effectively negate their targeted disruption (Extirpate, Meddling Mage).
Run tolaria to transmute for boseju or other manlands

Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
Ugh, now that I think about it, it's like a really awkward 10-card combo: fun to think about, but hard to win with. Maybe I'll put it together and try it out.
Selective Memory is bad, because it cost a 4 mana (which is also bad when you consider gaddock teeg) b it does make the deck into a 2 card combo, where you need to play card selective memory first and then have also an Treasure Hunt in the hand.
I also like the idea about the sideboad boseju/ lightning storm change against counter. and/or pithing needle
I haven't really liked the Cascade spells, since I got them too often with selective memory, this is why they are out.
the halimar depths are in to get the cards you need (with fetchlands) Relinquary tower is in so that you can go off the turn after.
the spinerock knoll is in so that you can together with the Seismic Assault you can activate a found Treasure hunt
Gruul Turf and the other is in so that you get more lands in hand for the Seismic Assault so that you can win maybe even without the selective memory (agains zoo or other self hurting decks)
The Filterlands are in to get tripple red turn 3
the fetchlands are in for deck thinning and stuff like the depts.
My new houserules:
1. Every player saing exiled or battlefield will be kicked out.
2. Not using you mana deals 2 points of manaburn.
3. Combat damage goes over the Stack and you can freely assign it.
4. Lifelinks does stack and doesn't safe you from dying.
5. Tokens are owned bye the one who has made them.
Everyone thinking M10 will not affect a lot of cards or Limited a lot, either has no clue about magic or has never played limited or is getting paid by wizards to do propaganda.
Three observations I made while playing this deck that led to the decklist above - these should clear some things up:
- You don't need all 4 Seismic Assaults. In fact, having that many is a bit counterproductive, because you don't want to hit more than one. 2 is fine.
- You do need a cascade spell - otherwise, you have a good chance of not getting anything in your starting hand. Any one spell in this deck wins you the game regardless; you just need to get that one spell.
- You do NOT need Reliquary Tower because you don't have a time to play it. If you play it turn 2 - before Treasure Hunting - then you can't play Seismic Assault on turn 3, and if you play it turn 3, you also can't Seismic Assault. Turn 4, you'd be able to play it, but you win on turn 4, so it doesn't matter.

How and when do you then win if I may ask, when you don't need relinquary tower, because when you only run 2 seismic assault you won't play them turn 3 normally, with no relinquary tower you can't keep your hand full of lands, so you need to play the card draw and the assault the sam turn so you would need 5 mana?
you need 10 lands and seismic assault in the hand to win and this is only possible with the relinquary tower. If treasure hunt would have been instant this would have been ok but the way it is, you can't win before turn 5 with your version (with my version you can at least win turn 4)
with the cascade spells on which turn do you win (especially if you run only 2 seismic assaults?)
with 4 and 4 you would have a chance of 4/7 to draw the seismic assault (57%)with treasure hunt, with 2 assault and 4 cascade spells you have only a chance of 2/9 which is way worse (22%)

We've been testing this build since Treasure hunt was released. However, Faeries and Bloodchief Ascension wreck this deck with very little effort. Even with manlands. Assuming you don't get either match up, this deck is great. Remember though, Faeries is a huge part of many metas.

Boseiju is a good thought.
what list are you guys testing? And on which turn do you usually win?
Because with the above versions I have almost never won before turn 4 although with the version with Ligthning Storm, winning turn 3 is more likely.

The only problem with lightning storm is, if you don't hit a reliquary tower. You basically lose.

yeah I dont think this version would be better I just saing this version at least can win turn 3.
Winning turn 4 is more realistic with the seismic assault version. And so that you can win turn 4 you also need the relinquary tower or you need to play the assault turn 3 followed bye a turn 4 Treasure Hunt.
Or am I missing something?

It's MUCH easier to just cast the treasure hunt on turn 4, instead of waiting to have 5 mana like lightning storm would need.
Also; Seismic can hit creatures to stall the board. (If you really need to)

yeah but then you need to have the assault and the treasure hunt in hand.
I also think that assault is better, but it is just not possible to win turn 4 and it is verry unlikely to win turn 4 WITHOUT renilquary towers in the deck.

for consistencies sake, we are testing Bloodbraid Elf (I realize it's pretty much draw go until we hit for mana) but it's almost always a turn 4 kill, turn 3 at times (we play 4 Gemstone Caverns) The nonland cards maindeck are 4 Bloodbraid, 2 Treasure Hunt, 2 Seismic Assault. It's testing well, I would just use Swans combo, but this is actually alot better in testing.
You guys do know that in original built, we just need to mulligan to have 1. any of the Gemstone 2. the 3 mana instant Cascade spell and Seismic. 3. Cast the Cascade spell on the opponent's EoT to get to a Treeasure hunt then cast Assault on our turn.
Adding Reliquary and Man lands is in just for plan B correct? (if against counterspell happy folks)
I am unsure how this deck will progress against Pithing Needle.
One naming Seismic Assault tremendously hurts the deck, and a second naming Lightning Storm can pretty much kills the combo completely. Maybe some of the beefier multicolor manlands might help.
conflagrate would work as well as the needle. RRR is essentially the same mana cost, and having a hand full of lands isn't difficult. that said, it's a little harder to use because you're going to need up to 20 lands to do it.
This deck should probably have a bit of land disruption, Ghostway and Tectonic edge to take care of some things like UToY and Depths (if that's still worthwhile) and Blood Moon effects to secure the combo's existence.
I don't like relying on cascade to make the combo start, but it seems solid.
hi im no very acurate if this work because is a noland card and that afect the cascade draw but what about sumer bloom for acel this will increse the chance to win in turn 3 or 2 with the help of gemtones land

ghost quarter works as well. otherwise, you're probably in a world of hurt if they resolve an early one. then again, if they go t2 depths, you still have a potential t3 win, so I guess it could be a crapshoot.
2 Seismic Assault
4 Violent Outburst OR 4 Demonic Dread
50 lands to suit budget/tastes/colors
4 Swans of Bryn Argoll
1 Lightning Storm
10 lands to suit

I'd play something like this:
4 Treasure Hunt
4 Violent Outburst
4 Stomping Ground
4 Steam Vents
4 Reflecting Pool
4 Fire-Lit Thicket
4 Cascade Bluffs
4 Rootbound Crag
4 Scalding Tarn
4 Vivid Crag
8 Mountain
4 Lightning Storm
4 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
7 ???
Violent Outburst is better because it's instant speed and it doesn't need a target.
More facts of magic
Exile all nonland permanents, cast Treasure Hunt to draw your entire deck, win off of Seismic Assault!
And that way you could get away with running a strong deck instead of a mulligan-crazy 50 land deck.
It's risky, but there's a big payoff.
So instead of running a whole ton of lands, how about just run a few and then make it so you draw them ALL in one turn.
Here's what I'm thinking (I took a storm list and mashed in the selective treasure assault combo):
4 Scalding Tarn
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Steam Vents
2 Mountain
2 Island
4 Treasure Hunt
4 Seismic Assault
4 Seething Song
4 Rite of Flame
4 Desperate Ritual
4 Manamorphose
4 Peer Through Depths
4 Remand
Ugh, now that I think about it, it's like a really awkward 10-card combo: fun to think about, but hard to win with. Maybe I'll put it together and try it out.
I also like the idea about the sideboad boseju/ lightning storm change against counter. and/or pithing needle
Here an idea How I would maybe play this:
4 Treasure Hunt
4 Seismic Assault
CombohelpingLands: 12
4 Relinquary Tower
4 Spinerock Knoll
4 Halimar Depths
Gimmey more lands:8
4 Gruul Turf
4 Izzet Boilerwork
Filterlands: 8
4 Cascade Bluffs
4 Fire-Lit Thicket
Fetchlands: 12
4 Arid Mesa
4 Mysty Rainforest
4 Scalding Tarn
4 Island
4 Steam Vents
Helping not to loose Lands:12
4 Khalni Garden
4 Ghostquarter
4 Vesuva
Manlands: 12
4 Fearie Conclave
4 Ghitu Encampement
4 Treetop Village
4 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
4 Lightning Storm
4 Bojuka Bog
3 Dark Depths
I haven't really liked the Cascade spells, since I got them too often with selective memory, this is why they are out.

Khalni garden is in so that you can block once with it.
Ghostquarter and Vesuva against the combodecks needing some lands.
The manlands can help to get some additional damage, ot have an "alternative" winoption.
The sideboard should be self explaining, we can't play other stuff because we can't play non lands.
