Hi, i just wanted to ask a question to clear something up that me and my brother have been a little confused about (We just started playing).
When a card (Say, malakir Bloodwitch) that has protection against white battles with a multicolored card that has white in it, does she still get protection against that card? Even though it has another color as well?
Example: Crystallization uses 1 white and 1 of either blue or green. Would the bloodwitch (Protection against white) be immune to this spell even though it uses blue/green as well?
and one final question. can her controller cast a white spell on her? for instance, can he controller cast Holy strength on her even though she has protection from white, seeing as how it's not actually hurting her to have her strength boosted?

1)A permanent is all the colours in its casting cost or what any abilities say it is. Crystallization is always white green and blue, Ghostfire is always colourless
2) Protection from x means the following things:
Damage dealt by x is prevented
can't be equiped, enchanted or foritified by x
can't be blocked by x
can't be targeted by x
When a card (Say, malakir Bloodwitch) that has protection from white is in combat with a multicolored card is white, does she still get protection from that card? Even though it has another color as well?
Yes, in the same way that she would have protection from things that are white but are also creatures, or are white but also have converted mana cost 3.

As Malakir Bloodwitch has protection from white it can't be targetted or enchanted by holy Strength.
