Ok, so the actual set and spoilers aren't coming for a while, but something got spoiled in today's arcana.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth 10
Legendary Creature - Eldrazi (M)
When you cast Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, draw four cards.
Annilihator 4 (Whenever this creature attacks, defending player sacrifices four permanents.)
When Kozilek is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library.

Seems like it's a billion times better than Darksteel Colossus (not saying that really says much.) Oh, how I wish it was a tinker-able creature...
It also seems that if you cheat it into play, while it won't draw you cards, it should win you the game on your first attack.
But, then again, something that costs so much should do so anyway and blah blah dies to removal (but then again, you do draw 4 cards when it's cast, so the opponent killing it after it ETB isn't... as bad. At least, not as bad for you as killing a DSC.)
This dude is a ton better than DSC and if colorless still mean artifact, he'd most definitely be finding a home in the DSC spot in my cube. Ten mana is a lot to come by, though. Despite his awesomeness, I don't think he'll be finding a home here.
Except that he's not tinkerable. I might find a spot for him if I get one, but I'm not rushing out to get one. Even in my cube, which I put on the quite slow side 10 mana is a lot of mana.
Also, I love starting the ROE thread this early. We'll probably forget it even exists by the time the spoilers start really coming in.
I am petitioning for the end of: the Mythic rarity, the Planeswalker card type, the post-8th edition card faces, the 2010 rule changes, colorless cards that aren't artifacts or lands, the Legendary supertype, the stack, auras, multicolor cards, artifact creatures, tokens, goblins, merfolk, elves, sorceries, instants, and permanents. Basically, I just want to play with purple contraptions.

I think I'd rather have Bosh. The two mana is big, the tinkerability is big, the trample is big and the fling ability is not irrelevant. I think the 4 sac permanents, while looking awesome isn't that relevant if you're actually paying 10 mana for it. And drawing four cards is awesome, but again 10 mana. If you've got a good way to sneak it into play, ok. Otherwise it seems like a pass.
I dunno, that thing hasn't seen play in forever, I mean I could removal DSC, but I like the clossus a lot because he is cool.

Also, if you Tooth and Nail this guy into play you don't get to draw four cards, which is huge. Obviously if you can swing once with him, then great. If you drop him with sneak attack that could be good, cause even though you don't draw 4, he will have haste and at the very least be making your opponent sac 4 permanents. Still don't think he's quite good enough.
So it can't be reanimated, can't be tinkered for and Natural Order also doesn't work?
Next.
I third this notion. DSC is really good because he can be tinkered and be in play on turn 3-4. This guy you have to ramp long and hard, and no way to cheat him into play outside of Sneak Attack is quite sad.
That's fair. Maybe its because I have lost more to that two card interaction more than I would care to, but he is weak if there is no tinker to go with him.

I may test him out to see if he's good, he likely isn't but I still wanna see how he is, I love that he still gives you Tidings when you cast him, even if he's countered.
I can imagine the funniest opening involving a turn2 channel (Which is another card that enables the ginormous eldrazi and also happens to be not that good enough for cube,) Lightning Greaves and the Eldrazi, although this opening is more appropriate for the kitchen table, not cube.
This card is probably the coolest thing ever. My inner Timmy got so happy about this. Don't know if it's Cubeable but still, it makes me happy.
Exactly what I was thinking. Reminds me of how I felt when I saw Hellkite Overlord for the first time. I just love playing with big monsters with cool abilities, though I don't think even I can justify this card in cube, though time will tell.

Wow I didn't notice that, but that makes him even worse. I'd like to add him, cause he's so cool, but he just isn't good.
I'm Timmy/Johnny, so I always feel sad when the uncastable fatties are also uncheatable fatties. I suspect a fairly linear mechanic, based on the Eye of Ugin and similar cards, to make these playable in standard, but not in an environment like cube.

Hard to say it will find a place in cubes though, we know it's nuts but paying 10 is huge.

Agreed. I need my big colorless creatures to be able to be Welded, Tinkered and Reanimated. This guy does none of those things. Pass.

agreed on both fronts. This creature is not good enough for cube.

Two things here. First, Darksteel Colossus isn't really good... in fact, I don't find it cubeworthy at all. It's marginal at best. Second, you can use Tooth and Nail, Quicksilver Amulet, Elvish Piper, Eureka, Show and Tell, Defense of the Heart, Pattern of Rebirth and a few other cards to put him into play too. And all of those other cards are just as cubeworthy as Sneak Attack (which is not very cubeworthy at all).
I agree with the sentiment (that this guy and the cards that can put him into play are all bad), but there's more than one way to play bad cube cards.
