So a friend of mine really likes characters and classes in video games where he can just hit stuff, so I decided to make a deck that reflected that for him for when we go play EDH, and this is what I got. Kamahl is a house, and offers all kinds of silly things with his Overrun ability, as well as the ability to turn any land into a creature. Board sweepers see less play when they wipe out the caster's lands as well. There's a lot of mana in this deck, and you'll need as much as possible to keep on plowing through people. Also, there are some land and token generating sum-themes to the deck, and it all works rather nicely together. So, without further ado, here's the list. Any suggestions are welcome.
Hey Mollusk, I appreciate the feedback. I haven't gotten around to playtesting this sucker yet, but I appreciate the feedback. Also, I don't think your list posted. Think you could post one? I'd appreciate it. Also, I don't run Overrun because I figure I can summon Kamahl at any time, so why put a card I might run into if I can play a card guaranteed who can do the same thing?
UPDATE: HOLY CRAP! That Khalni Hydra from RoE is TOTALLY going in here. He's basically a free 8/8 with trample who powers up Primalcrux. I'd say he's pretty obvious.
I play tested Kamahl extensively back when I was really into Rofellos and he was always really underwhelming the times he actually resolved and stuck around. He's also really slow. 11 mana for an Overrun just isn't that hot, and the re-usability doesn't appeal to me as it ties up your mana; there are much more exciting, efficient ways in which to invest your resources imo.
In my experience, Overrun itself is really pretty underwhelming in EDH, especially outside of a token theme. If you're going to make the deck more token based, I guess I'd start with Thelonite/Deranged Hermits. Coat of Arms is obviously a no-brainer.
There's my list. I'm wondering if we should be running Rings of Brighthearth to double Overrun for 7... Probably not, as there aren't many other applications. At least not in my list.
And don't let Mr. Fantastic discourage you. I can't think of a game I've won with this deck without using Kamahl's Overrun - and I've won many a games with it.
I like running a copy of Overrun for the flavor, if nothing else, but it's also a good insurance policy. They'll be gunning for Kamahl when they see you have a half dozen Saprolings out and a few Wolves. If they blast him, it's doubtful you'll have the 13 mana to replay him, Overrun and alpha strike.
I'm just trying to help. If your subjective validation of Kamahl's efficiency is in stark contrast to my lack thereof, understand I have merely had different experiences than you and only wished to save someone from wasting their time.

... All I said was don't let him discourage you. And you're trying to save someone from wasting their time? By suggesting they deconstruct the deck and go a different route?
Clearly he wants to use Kahaml, because he made an EDH deck with him as the general. You need to fine tune it to make it work better and toward what Kahaml does. Token generators are great, especially ones that can immediately fill a board, i.e. Bestial Menace, Avenger of Zendikar, One Dozen Eyes, Howl of the Night Pack.
It comes down to whether they have removal. If they do, they live for another turn, but if they can't answer Kahaml it's not rare to send an easy 25 damage their way.

It just seems incredibly slow, inefficient, and easy to disrupt. But your point is taken—that this is a "theme" deck more than something trying to be competitive. Respectfully, I'll no longer post feedback in this thread. No hard feelings on my end and no offense intended; it's just hard to give advice to someone who isn't trying to win. I hope this doesn't come across as condescending (though how can it not?)

Here's my list for some quick comparison/suggestions.
I'd cut Elixir, Acid Moss and Skyshroud Claim. They just don't do as much as you want a card to be doing.
Wolfbriar Elemental is pretty insane though. And why not put an Overrun in there?
