Greetings, fellow rumourmongers, 'tis I, Captain Black! [swishes cloak]
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
Remember, remember the 130th of November!
This has been confirmed as a reprint of Vendetta. It'll be added to the spoiler shortly. You can stop speculating on what it'll be, please keep comments on topic and constructive.
Well, as the above poster said its likely card 130, power or toughness equal to 5 (V in roman numerals which is where the quote is from) and given that the 30th of november was the gunpowder plot it blows things up.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous....

Mind you, V was a character, and that suggests that this may be a creature.
Though, to be honest, I see no reason not to reprint Vendetta at this time... It certainly is a bad choice against Eldrazi.

It could be a card meant to force standard to play some of the more expensive spells from ROE. Also, this is still fine for killing most of the other creatures revealed so far. Especially for stopping levelers early on.
I think Vendetta is perfect for this set. I want to be able to cast explosive leveler creatures and have them survive long enough to be useful, but simultaneously I want cheap removal on hand to deal with my opponent's creatures before things get out of hand. So the card seems fine to me.
If Vendetta is reprinted, could be good as a replacement effect for deathmark in a bunch of decks, unless they're sideboard specifically for baneslayers, the life loss should be manageable.
the small guys are not worth to spend this card on them...
Au contraire! Maro wants you to play your high cost fatties, he wants you to survive until you can. It's not Swords to Plowshares but it will be used in limited. Hey, look! It's a common! You'll see loads! Yay!
I think it's a great choice. Besides, black has plenty of ways to bring up their life total. If a B/G Rock deck arrives, this might just be what they need to keep them alive early game. Sure you're not going to take down an Eldrazi with it... but I would sure rather take down their 5/5, take 5 dammage and be rid of the thing than take 15 over the course of 3 turns.

PS: It's the intro quote from V for Vendetta, and this is a spoiler thread that will require some detective work. Glad to see you Cap'n.
With 1 hit in the orb, Vendetta as Black card #130 it is!
vendetta
id say...no
I like Turtles
Actually... if the v-rant is actually creative, then it sounds like an anti-Eldrazi Vampire.
After all, the Zendikar Vampires were sort of enslaved by the Eldrazi a long time ago.
So, reprint of Vendetta?
I dont think anything else can be discerned.
Orb says yes. One count of Vendetta and it falls in at card #130
130 could very well be Vendetta reprint - especially with the 130 reference in a V for Vendetta quote.

Good to see you Captain!
Vendetta, huh? With 1 hit for Demonic in the Orb I thought Demonic Vendetta could make a nice name...oh well.
B for stopping early creatures works for me.

As a side note, I'm well aware of what the captains do around here, but whom is he and why does he know all the cards?
I hate when people change their avatar's. That's how I identify most people, not by names.
