I recently did a bit of an overhaul on this deck. It originally focused on sneaking creatures into play (with sneak attack and lurking predators) and sacrificing them to pump Kresh. However, that plan wasnt working out the best for me so I have made some changes. There still is some of the the sneak attack theme in the deck, but to a lesser extent. The other themes which I have (attempted to) incorporate are Landfall and Warp World which to some extent go hand in hand. To further the landfall theme I have added some more fetches, Lands, Crucible of Worlds and a few more land tutors (wood elves and steve). To further the Warp World theme I included the landfall theme, a higher permanent density, a stronger token theme (which works quite well with my general) and more CiP effects (which was part of my pervious theme). So there you go.
There is just one "combo" in here. Nath and Sadistic hypnotist which empties hands and produces quite a few tokens.
I am looking for a spot for Primeval Titan and Grave Titan once M11 releases.
I was also considering adding Vampire Hexmage because there are quite a few planeswalkers in my meta and maybe dark depths as well since the price should drop soonish.
I am also considering the addition of a Thawing Glaciers because that would improve the land fall theme, but I would probably end up cutting the Karoos for basics when I do
I would suggest cutting the following cards:
- The Myojins. They don't get their divinity counters if you cheat them into play with Sneak Attack or Lurking Predators or the like. If that is your game plan (as you say it is), then the Myojins don't fit.
- Harmonize. I might be biased against non-permanents, but I just think you would be better off running Sylvan Library or Phyrexian Arena. Cards like Harmonize don't have a lasting effect on the game, and I just feel like you can do better.
- Reiver Demon. Same as the Myojins.
- Siege-Gang Commander. You don't have any other Goblins to throw, and 2 damage isn't going to kill many relevant things in this format.
- Terminate. Same as Harmonize.
If you want to cheat things into play, I suggest Warp World. You'd have to cut some more non-permanents from your list, but you could make it work.
I went with the warp world idea a bit. I feel like it could make things interesting in EDH.
I have to disagree with the comment about both Harmonize and Terminate though; I find both to be efficient cards. I am already running Phyrexian Arena for card draw as well.
I am still looking for room for Skullclamp, Living Death, Oracle of Mul Daya and Avenger of Zendikar to try to push the warp world theme just a bit more. I was also considering your idea of Sylvan Library but I wasnt quite sure of what to cut for that either. If you feel that it is better than harmonize I would appreciate a brief explanation of why.
Any additional cut suggestions are appreciated
Thanks again

I'd cut Harmonize for either Sylvan Library or Skullclamp. Both are far more efficient in the long run.
- Harmonize will give you three cards, once, and that's it.
- Both Skullclamp and Sylvan Library will allow you to draw/look at more cards over time than Harmonize will. You can put the Clamp on multiple X/1 creatures to get two cards per guy for just one mana, and you can use the Library and possibly draw two extra cards every turn.
EDIT: Terminate is the same way. You kill one creature and then it's over. No card advantage whatsoever. If you had a Bone Shredder, or a Shriekmaw, you'd have a body that could be Skullclamp'd or used as a chump-blocker or used to get more out of Warp World, or something.
Check out the guide in my sig for more of an explanation.
Imperial Recruiter? I'm surprised you can spare an extra one for a casual format like this.
I played a game or two last night and I made a few changes before playing
-Barter in Blood + Avenger of Zendikar
Barter was just weaker than my other mass (sorta) removal and the Avenger is awesome and great for warp world
-Flametonuge Kavu +Skullclamp
The kavu isnt as strong as a lot of my other 187 effects, plus I need the card advantage from skullclamp
-wrecking ball +Oracle of Mul Daya
Wrecking ball is just sub par removal plus i love the oracle
The Imperial Recruiter is just a pretty proxy I have cause I dont want to drop 150 dollars on card
Also, opinions of the Kamahl and Black Crovax combo? The individual cards seem weak in the deck but the combo itself is quite strong. They are good tooth and nail targets and also are quite funny with Vicious Shadows.
Thanks

I played a 4 hour, 3 player game this weekend against Momir and Oona. The MVP was definitely Puppeteer's Clique (recurred terastodon 3+ times). I didn't get much use out of Godo which is what prompted the cut from the list.
Kamahl was cut because he seems to function better with large numbers of smaller creatures not a few large creatures. He also functioned as a bit of wrath protection (kill their lands).
Shizo, Death's warehouse was included because i felt like getting kresh through might be helpful.
OC, I did end up taking your advice about harmonize. I was sitting there late game with it in my hand and three cards just didn't seem like it was good enough.
Any additional help would be nice. I will keep updating the change log that I added for any of you following along silently and I will work on including some explanations of my choices.
Thanks again
I am requesting permission from the Moderators to have the thread reopened because the deck has been changed significantly thematically. Alternatively, if you would prefer, I could start a new thread with the same general.
Thank you
EDIT: I will take no comment as approval. Comment away. All help and suggestions are appreciated.
You are lacking a Doomgape. Sacrafice outlet to pump uril and life gain Not to mention a 10/10 for 7cc. And you can always sac him for 10 life and 10 counters on Kresh.
spitebellows! Good evoke cuz ya get 6 counters on kresh and BAM! destroy a 6 toughness creature.
Minion Reflector can b awesome. Y not duplicate that spitebellows for another 2. Even when you evoke it. And it goes away at the end of the turn.
Is it possible to have Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician sacrifice two Plains to create two 1/1 black Lizard tokens? Yes. And until you have tried doing so, how can you judge the level of efficiency that doing so holds?
Quote from Deulcalion »
Height: 0.8 m at the sholder (dragons, always insidious, have apparently adopted the metric system)
The single use pump for Kresh is not my favorite because there is a lot of removal for kresh and its essentially like getting 2-for-1 ed. I have been thinking about Minion Reflector but the initial cost is quite a bit.
If you have some suggestions of cuts i could make, that would be great because i was looking to add several cards. Including Perilous Forays and Bloodghast. I have a thread going on the EDH discussion board regarding Landfall in EDH, so feel free to add some comments over there if you have some more advice.
