Lastly, I've found Sudden Spoiling to be a great card. At worst, it's a uncounterable fog. At best, it wreaks your opponent in combat or help you deal with troublesome cards like Chameleon Colossus and Akroma, Angel of Wrath
If I can get the vamp tutor I will. I have the Promise of Power what should I cut to put it in? I'm not in red so Decree of Anni wont work, did you mean Decree of Pain? Sudden spoiling could be useful, but again what to I cut to put it in?
Yeah, meant pain, sorry. Absorb Vis does nothing on it's own and should be replaced with either another card or another land. Bond of Agony seems suboptimal, do you ever get to the amounts of mana where it actually matters? Death Stroke is another suboptimal card, black has much better removal avaible. Grandmother Sengir has the best name in the world, but don't run her for anything else than stylepoints Ruthless Cullblade is too small, and the same goes for Ravenous Vampire.
I'm not looking to play it as a Voltron general deck as it would start taking away from the theme of the deck which is running as many vamps as i can without making it unplayable or bad. Other wise Jitte, Lightning Greavesbothswords would be in the deck already.
If vampires are your thing, may I recommend Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief as the general of choice? She's bigger, and with relevant removal tacked on, and can kill very fast, even without voltron support. Even if she is the only critter on board, she kills in three hits(+3/+0 to Drana, and -0/-3 to Drana to balloon to a 7/1 for one attack).
edit: One amazingly efficient removal spell I see missing is Ashes to Ashes. three cmc and five life to exile two problematic cards is a huge benefit, and with forty life the five point swing is rarely relevant.
Never heard of Ashes before. May need to look into it.
Drana is a beast for sure but I had originally went with Mirri becuase she was cheaper and has haste meaning i can get the general damage kill if i need to go that route. And ive wanted to build a deck around her since she came out as I was always a fan of the green Mirri
unlike my other decks i separated out(list wise not deck wise of course) the legends in this build so that any of them can fit in the commander slot is i decide that i will need a different one for the matchup
I did build this deck and I would like to know how competitiv it is? Do you think I can defeat Zur, the enchanter with this? I really think I can, cause this list looks awesome to me!
