I do hope they start either going to some of the planes on these planes or making more cards that are on the same planes that we haven't visited yet. How many plane cards do we have that are on planes we've never heard of before? I think at least 15.

There are nine Planes portrayed in the total 45 Plane cards that have never been visited in the storyline. Two of those (Iquatana and Muraganda) were definitely portrayed in Future Sight.
In contrast, I count atleast 12 planes that have appeared or been mentioned in storylines, but not on Plane cards: Vatraquaz, Ilcae, Gastal, Ergamon, Cridhe, Cabralin, Azoria, Aranzhur, Diraden, Kephalai, Tavelia, and Regatha.

Oh, huh. Less than I thought. Well, that's a good thing. Still 1 in 5 cards, but I think that's a forgivable amount. I do hope that they visit a few, though.
Just looked closely @ the plane: it says 1993-2009. Ummmmm... Is that a good thing or a BAD thing?

I would assume that all planechase 45 cards were printed last year when the set was released. So that is why its 2009. Anything after 45 (if there are any) would be 2010 I think

I had a hunch that that was the reason but I wanted a bit of assurance that it was indeed why. thanks.
Still, I find it odd that they waited so long to bring this one out.
wu-ming-shao-jiang? How did they get so much information? This is so cool.

The plane of Ir also appears in Future Sight (it is the home of the Fomori Nomads).
I know I'm going to regret saying this, but... maybe this will finally be the setting for a Poison set. It looks most similar to a Mirage-like/Arabian setting, which seems like it could very well be an appropriate place for poison.

I actually didnt mind it, because when they first released planechase they did inform everyone that there were a total of 45 planes, so 5 were sort of like small surprises.
I think its good that finally all 45 are released, I do hope they continue supporting this format though!

Oh, they definitely will. You keep hearing about the format all the time on the main site, and the product seems to have been selling very well. It's fun, it's making money, there's absolutely no reason not to continue it.
i think its a sad state when i don't even care about what the new planechase card does, so much that its a new planechase card. nor do i care about the fluff regarding that plane, so much as its a new card.
its getting annoying that the only way to get new planes is through promos too.
i mean, don't get me wrong i can't wait to add it to the plane pile, but i'd really like to see them do something like a 10 card planechase deck once a year, with 9 planes detailing locations in whatever the current block is, and 1 preview plane for the next block. when the only way to get new planes is through promos, and theres only been what, 4? 5? in a year.... well it just sucks and doesn't show any real support for the product.
I definitely second this. Making Plane cards available exclusively as promos is not very fair, especially for European players who can't get those cards at all.
The only one I had a problem to get was Tazeem. Celestine Reef was given out at ZEN prerelease, and both Horizon Boughs and Mirrorred Depths were available on Game Days or through Gateway.

Anything that scales with the number of opponents is good in my book.
