Default [GP] Gigadrowse

This just came to me from a trusted anonymous source of mine. I asked for more but he won't have any for me until next week... but at least it should start trickling in then! I want more!

Gigadrowse -
Instant (C)
Replicate (When you play this spell, copy it for each time you paid its replicate cost. You may choose new targets for the copies.)
Tap target permanent.

Confirmed wording for replicate, woooohoooooo! That's kinda how I thought it would be.

Hmmm, so with enough mana, you could tap all their lands and creatures during their upkeep... looks fairly useful.

Oh, and for the record, giga means "billion" and drowse means "half asleep".

awesome man, im loving this more and more-

replicate is going to be so abusable. i could see long drawn out turns of coping replicated copies of replicating spells. i mean, this card could easily turn into a "tap all your opponets land" card. or, even, a tap all your blockers card. i love this.

Hrmph... I don't like that Replicate ability at all. "Copy this as much as you want no drawback?" Hrmph...

i like it, seems useful in limited, and the izzet mechanic seems powerful. im sure there are potentially a lot of ways to abuse it. can't wait to see more previews

Powerfull ability if they print the right cards for it. A burn spell with replicate should be devastating for limited even if it only targets creatures.

hot damn, this is nice. i can't wait to see what else this mechanic ends up on...*giggles sadistically*

EDIT: @Wildfire393: well, it could be like buyback, where almost of the buyback costs where expensive as hell to prevent it from being too broken. this cost is cheap because the spell isn't that great except as a weak denial card or a way to break through defenses for the win. it could be higher on other spells.

Well, there goes my "Replicate is crap because of the guildmage" theory.

This mechanic looks like it has a good potential to be broken. That, or everything it is on will be overpriced. However, considering this card as an example, WOW.

FINALLY, another rumor! Man, this is a slow season. That's a great common though, and Replicate is way hard to counter, it seems. Awesome, though, it's like "X: Tap X target permanents. You may only spend blue mana in this way."

thanks, RE!

Hooray for mini- time walks! (tap their creatures that are about to kill you, knock out their lands during their upkeep, esp. once they hit topdeck mode...)

Soooo many applications. If this is the caliber of stuff blue gets in the "red" set, that just makes dissension look even better . . . .

Oowh, I like it!

I just find it funny that when you don't repicate it it's still called gigadrowse It's more like minidrowse then...

If only ti could untap...
