8 days, wtf? Better get cracking... any good ideas for a wife that has everything? Okay, not everything, but all the basics and most of the luxuries she wants. I just bought her a jewelry box the other day, but gave it right to her instead of saving it and wrapping it. I guess that doesn't count now, huh? Also we sort of "bought eachother" this new leather office chair... quite comfy I must say. Does that count? I know she's getting me nothing. And she demands I get her nothing. But that doesn't mean I won't be in deep caca on Christmas Day and I've got nothing to surprise her with!
Cool avatar, Christopher, but I really liked the snowy one too.
Yeah, I liked the snowy one too, but I dunno. I'm having a hard time getting an avvy that I'm content with. I'll probably go back to it, if I can't find anything else I like.
As far as what to get the lil lady, I wish I could help you. So far, I've been (un)lucky enough to not be with anyone on Valentine's Day, Christmas, or any Birthdays. Hopefully, that will change. I am a hopeless romantic at heart, so it totally sucks not being able to do anything romantic for people.
Why don't you get her something pretty to put in that jewelry box Daron? It doesn't have to be expensive or anything, as long as it's tasteful.
BTW, congrats to Christopher and Talena! Hope you guys enjoy being Called. That vote went very quickly actually. You guys are lucky. Though I have to get see Talena post since she got voted in...

DTA#5: Make sure you contact your Bank about your travels.
If the bank finds out about international purchases and you haven't informed them they will freeze your assets and force you to go through severl loops to get aproval. Mainly the store will call a local customer service representative and they will call your banks customer service representative. This process alone can take a long time depending on how efficient the two customer representatives are. Yes I was on hold indefinatly. Then I had to provide official documentation such as my drivers lisence and/or my passport. After 30 minutes or so my one purchase "may" have been successful
DTA#6: Make sure all doccumentation that is suppose to prove to the world who you are say the same thing.
Yeah, I know that is self explanatory but I'll say it anyway. The deep dark secret of it all is that dispite the fact that my credit card calls me Chris and everyone knows me as Chris my official documentation calls me Christopher. So they don't match, which means they can reject my credit card purchase on the spot and not batt an eyelash. Instead they simply ask me many more questions, state, city, zipcode, address etc. It's a real pain actualy.
So yeah, my name is also Christopher....*stares suspiciously at AL who coincidently started on the "same" expansion, is of the "same" gender, is the "same" age, Owns the "same" type of pet, is of the "same" marital status, has the "same" number of children, and plays the "same" card game, and who's hair is the "same" dark *
Mess up on those an you may have a very critical problem on your hand. Especialy if you intended on living off your credit card untill you got a job.

I just finished with finals week. In a word, they suck.
I was expecting a B in linear algebra and an A in my cheesy 1 credit honors course. I got a C and B respectively. What's more, I'll be happy if I end up with a C in German, and I don't think I did well enough on my physics final to get an A in the class. All in all, we're looking at a GPA of miserable 2.73 for the semester, if I'm lucky. Right now, there is a large part of me that wants to die. That is, what's left after the part that already has.
To make it worse, I backed into a brick wall last night with the car. It wasn't bad, but the bumper is rather dented and scratched. Anyone who knows my mother knows how bad this is going to be. She's obsessed with thinking that things go wrong with the car.
Needless to say, I wanted to forget my worries and have some fun. This was managed tonight. I went out with a friend of mine, Robin, to the drive in and we saw Walking The Line and The Chronicals of Narnia. Neither was very great. The former was a fine movie, just not my style. The latter was my style, but the Disneyization of it killed the movie. You can't have an epic battle scene without blood. People will stop believing in your movie if you do. Disney doesn't get this.
After the movies (which went until 1am) we went back to my apartment and had a late dinner while watching Sports Night. Somehow, we managed to only get through 3 episodes by 4 o'clock, which doesn't make much sense as they are only about 20 minutes each.
Either way, I had a good time tonight, after a hideous week. I guess overall it was a wash. And I suppose that's good, right?

Yeah, I would definetely be frustrated at a 2.73 if I were you. We all KNOW that you're a 4.0+ student. Honestly, I doubt I've ever met someone who's head is more full of knowledge than yours...sometimes, it seems like you're so smart, that it monopolizes your brain, and leaves you lacking in other categories(more on this later)
To make it worse, I backed into a brick wall last night with the car. It wasn't bad, but the bumper is rather dented and scratched. Anyone who knows my mother knows how bad this is going to be. She's obsessed with thinking that things go wrong with the car.
When you own a car, things DO go wrong..that's just how it is. If you think you're going to have extra money, you mise well take your car into the shop and find out what's wrong with it, before it dies on the side of the road while you have all of this extra money in your pocket. Our reliance on cars is a cosmic comedy of errors. It almost makes you want to believe in Mother Nature, and that she's constantly spiting us for driving these machines that have ruined the Earth(of course, we'd do that someway regardless)
Needless to say, I wanted to forget my worries and have some fun. This was managed tonight. That's pretty much what I expected, re: Narnia. I knew it was being done by Disney, and figured it would just be hugely tame, which would make it useless. Still, the girls will enjoy it, I might take them to see it today. I've known about this movie(actually, they're releasing alot of the books, not just LW&W) for quite awhile..a few years ago, at the best(only good) mall in existence, Arizona Mills, some guy asked me to do a survey on it..I agreed, thinking I'd get compensated, since those 'would you see this movie' surveys ALWAYS comp you. It took like an hour, and Talena and the girls were stuck just standing there, and at the end, I got squat. It's all Disney's fault too, they're such cheap bastards.
After the movies (which went until 1am) we went back to my apartment and had a late dinner while watching Sports Night. Somehow, we managed to only get through 3 episodes by 4 o'clock, which doesn't make much sense as they are only about 20 minutes each.
If it were any other guy but you(and maybe you're just being gentlemanly here), this would make 100% complete sense.
Le sigh, my whole post is stuck in MikeFont. Hmm. BikeMikeFont.
On the issue of finals, mine are all done and I am GLAD!
My Philosophy final was most definitely my hardest one, and my Psyche of Human Development final wasn't easy, either. Meh, all finals are hard, but to a separate degree.
Grades went up yesterday; 2 C's and 3 B's. /joy
And on to my most grueling semester of all time coming up. Yuck.
Next semester I am taking:
Calculus
Anatomy and Physiology II
Foreign Policy
Psychology of Adolescence
Satirical Composition (FUN!)
Still undecided on whether to take a local politics intern Monday and Wednesday after class at the state capitol (conveniently 4 blocks from the school!).
I used to enjoy calc... I'd be up to that challenge again. Psych, sure And A&P, no sweat. But considering I don't even know what "Foreign Policy" means, I don't think I'd want to take a course in it.

I missed it last night, but now I'm thinking that this was a hint. Did you and she do "something"?
That was my initial thought, but, the way he worded it, plus the fact that it's Mike, makes me skeptical..hopefully it means exactly what we think it does, that'd be outstanding.
Yeah, Satirical Compoisition is an "Advanced English Elective" that should provide some relief for me from my workload. I mean, getting graded on my satire? Brilliant!
And if Mike did... I... Hmm. I actually prefer not to think about it. =/
I was originally going to go to a new place for some drafting, but it ends up no one would home to take care of the puppy, so I had to babysit a puppy that seemed intent on rippin me to pieces. He almost did, too. He clamped on to my ear, and wouldn't let go until I forced its steel traps called jaws apart. And then I found out I had nothing good to eat, so I had to pay for my own pizza- which, of course, my gf came home and proceded to eat more of it then me, and, seeing as how it was a single, I went hungry. Thank god for late night Wendy's.
Jace on the other hand gives you card advantage for no life cost. On the contrary, Jace can actually take some damage for you. I'd think that makes him better than Arena.
Ugh..it does sound like your Friday sucked. I'm sorry to hear it. I've never had a dog pierce my ear like that, but I've had a cat do it, so I feel for ya.
Exploring nipples around the world, huh? Well, the best I can do there is Nicaragua. It dooesn't really count, though, because I was on a mission trip. We were giving a program, (y'know, singing, acting, the whole 9 yards,) and this lady just whipped it out and started breast feeding. It was kinda funky. It totally caught us "gringos", (as the Nicas lovingly called us,) by suprise. So much that we totally forgot what we were doing, and most of us had this open mouthed shocked look on. I dunno, I guess our culture is just so hung up on nudity, that the simplest things like that shock us.
I've been to Nicaragua before, with my freind. It's odd because there is like no crosswalks, so its up to your street crossing skills to get where you want. Since my freind is Mexican, he told me he has an innate skill at that, and he was right...
Jace on the other hand gives you card advantage for no life cost. On the contrary, Jace can actually take some damage for you. I'd think that makes him better than Arena.
Oh man I had such an awesome Friday! Best one in weeks, possibly months.
Today i'm gunna work on some of my new websites, do some homework, and with a bit of luck go on a date!

I also seem to be the only person who feels deprived by having to live on a planet with only a single moon. If there are any more of you out there, tell me so I can know I'm not alone.

I fixed your post a bit, Chris. It kinda didn't make sense. I filled in what we know about Talena but she'll have to update us with the rest of it later on.
And the new people should put green tags in their sigs! Christopher, wanna be the fluffy bear of the Called? hehe

Christmas is in 8 days!
Cool avatar, Christopher, but I really liked the snowy one too.
.

BTW, congrats to Christopher and Talena! Hope you guys enjoy being Called. That vote went very quickly actually. You guys are lucky. Though I have to get see Talena post since she got voted in...
Christopher (that is way to long btw...), good luck on not being single for some holidays sometime soon.

So, Chris - how are the nipples where you are? Australia is perky. . . but you knew that. Still, as Jamie is discovering, discovering in person is effervescent technology

If it were any other guy but you(and maybe you're just being gentlemanly here), this would make 100% complete sense.
Le sigh, my whole post is stuck in MikeFont. Hmm. BikeMikeFont.

This is a sig. Yes it is.
Yeah, that doesn't look like an enjoyable course load at all..good luck w/ it.
I missed it last night, but now I'm thinking that this was a hint. Did you and she do "something"?
.
