This deck is meant to basically play out as a Big Red control style of deck. Obviously with Godo, I have a decent amount of equipment that I can search up for little combos.
I'm kind of new to EDH and hoping that by making a couple new decks I can convince the rest of my playgroup to join me and make a deck or two. Thoughts? Suggestions?
You need, need, NEED a Sensei's Divining Top. If you have one there is no excuse for not playing it. Solemn Simulacrum is another must-play. It gets you land, attacks and blocks, then gives you a card when it dies. Crucible of Worlds might be good with all the mass LD. Perhaps Koth of the Hammer for a Wrath-proof beater, hardcore mana acceleration, and uncounterable, colorless, reusable damage. Inferno Titan survives Destructive Force and sometimes Chain Reaction and Starstorm, as well as providing recurring damage. Two-Headed Dragon may fit the deck as well. Ryusei, the Falling Star is both a big beater and a mass removal spell. Akroma's Memorial will let all your non-Samurai critters beat in twice with Godo. Altar of Shadows and Predator, Flagship give you solid creature kill and an out to Akroma, Angel of Wrath. Your deck is certainly on the right track. Perhaps Strata Scythe could find a way in the deck? Umezawa's Jitte is the best equipment ever. It should be in there. What is Hammerheim for? There aren't any good landwalkers in EDH. Best of luck starting an EDH League.

For instance:
Spellbinder + Savage Beating = Infinite attack phases
Spellbinder + Lavaball Trap = Free LD and board clearing for a fattie to swing in for the win
Ronin Cliffrider + Basilisk Collar = Destroy all of one opponent's creatures each turn/gain a bunch of life
Sokenzan Spellblade + Sword of Vengeance = Huge first strike, trampling, vigilance beater (most likely FTW)
Kumano, Master Yamabushi + Basilisk Collar = 1R: Destroy target creature. Instead of it going to the graveyard, exile it.
Other notable "combos":
Fumiko the Lowblood + Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs = Force them to attack into an army of 3/3s
Squee, Goblin Nabob + Chandra Ablaze = 4 damage per turn for no card loss.
Squee, Goblin Nabob + Skullclamp = 3R: Draw 2 cards. Play this ability only once per turn and as a sorcery.
