Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from green and from blue.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you put a 2/2 green wolf token onto the battlefield and that player puts the top 10 cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard. Equip
There are at least two confirmed planeswalkers, Elspeth and Koth, with hints towards Venser being one as well. Art for a new Moxen has been revealed as well.
They're bringing back the darksteel mechanic, and hopefully printing something cubable. Venser is coming back, as a planeswalker, there's gonna be a new elspeth, and THERE WILL BE A MOX!!!

Cool, but I really can't comment on cubes yet because I'm still making mine.
Be sure and post a thread for it once you get it built! There are plenty of friendly helpful users here that are always willing to offer up excellent advice and suggestions to help make your cube the best it can be.
I think there is a good chance that we will see Sunburst or a similar ability in Scars, since we had a picture that looks a lot like Etched oracle + TheZwi talks about using 5th Dawn cards for scars proxies (with Mirrodin having the higher artifact density in this block).

I'm speculating that sunburst is making its appearance again, and that Wizards has gone all new-feature on us: Mox Opal produces mana that is of more than one color.
Something like, "imprint - when ~ comes into play, exile any number of cards in your hand. T: Add one mana to your mana pool. This mana is all colors of the exiled cards imprinted on ~."
Baseless, but it's a crazy idea that just might work on a card.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

he's talking about mana that's more than one color at the same time, not mana that can be different colors. chrome mox can be a dual land, but the mana is only one color: you choose when you tap.
the difference is moot 99% of the time so i don't think they would do it.

Yes, Sunburst is a fine mechanic. Unfortunately, most of the cards in Fifth Dawn with it were overcosted. As I allways say: There aren't any bad effects in Magic, only bad costs. I do hope we will see some aggressively costed Sunburst cards (if this is the returning mechanic, but that seems quite likely). Cards that are ok with two colors and great if three colors were spent on them would be cool.
It only depends on how aggressively costed they are: just take Suntouched Myrand and make it start as a 2/2 = a 3 mana 3/3 in a one colored deck, a 4/4 in a 2 colored deck and your 5/5 in a 3c deck.
or a 2 mana sunburst creature with remove a counter : +2/+2 until end of turn.
That would be ridiculous. Although I could see one printed as a 1/1 (or even 1/2).
suntouched myr as a 2/2 would probably not be printed, but i think that's what it would have to be to be in the cube. i doubt they will print a card that would be a 4/4 for 3 with no drawback in almost every deck without trying, and larger in a deck that did try. that sounds like another tarmogoyf situation.

If you spin the die at the bottom of the page a couple of times a keyword comes out called Infect. Its basically Wither mixed with Poisonous. Kind of neat.
that's really neat but unless there is a one card that kills with poison by itself (the way nemesis of reason mills all by itself) i don't think the mechanic is good news for cube. poison requires a critical mass of poison creatures and unless they print a massive amount of cubeable poison guys, it's not going to work out. i don't want a creature that doesn't deal damage to players.
i hope none of the swords give the creature infect, because nullifying damage on a creature would be absolutely awful.

yeah but i dislike that about it. it has to be that way or else the damage competes with poison and the mechanic doesn't work as well. people don't want to play it as much. but it's unfortunate because it makes the cards less good overall as standalone cards, which is no good for cube (the only format i care about).

Although... Darksteel isn't really a mechanic. It's a type of metal that results in the artifact being indestructible, which is a mechanic.
The art for the new Elspeth is so sick! I hope she's not a disappointment. She's looks a lot more bad ass in this set than she was before.
