Default [GP] Sky Swallower from "Mana Rouge"

First of all, ok I know it is my first post but this card is extracted from the french magazine "Mana rouge" (Red mana) and despite it is another big blue unplayable card it is real (damn)

"Briffaud celeste" (celestian big worm) 3UU
creature: leviathan R
flying
When Briffaud celeste comes into play, target opponent gains control of all permanents you control.

8/8

"Could you give the world for such monster?"
artist rk post card number 96 (?)/165 (the number is really small)

Do not flame me that it is a fake (go buy the magazine to know that it is true) but you can flame me because it is such an unplayable card :wink2:

if another french reader of this magazine could provide a scan, I would be happy, because i do not own one.

Noo!! The Leveler card of the set. I already can hear the Johnny's mind set in motion to break the card. Hint, hint: Stifle (again).

Are you sure the wording isn't "All other permanents you control"? Because as is, if you play this, THEY get it. Meaning the only possible use whatsoever would be in legacy with Brand to get everything back right away.

I think the wording must be "AS it comes into play...", otherwise it's unplayable outside johnny decks.

Thanks. Interesting (though still not good) with Brand and any black card with a substantial drawback (of which there are many). Give them all your crap and watch them die ... or not since they'd use all your stuff against you. And you'd have no lands to fight back. Ew.

Maybe in some wildly rogue, casual, jank permanent-lite counter-burn control deck .... ? Where even there it's still pretty ****ty.

But you watch, some great mind with a good idea will use this card somehow. And win using it. And make me impressed.

you know....for an 8/8 flying....
i can see it getting some play
but only after you use Nevinyrral’s Disk and Armageddon

then again for 7wuu you could do much better things
but the look on your opponents face when its the only permanent on the table when you play it would be priceless

Man that's a good Johnny card. But it's also limited playable, I think. Sideboard it in against a deck with no flying and no applicable removal and just use it as a finisher.

But ahhh. Mega-Donate...mmmmm...

Doubt it, blue likes to have counter back-up for its big threats. Saving up till a turn where you could cast this + 2 Tribe elders might be the way to go.
