The deck started out as a mono-black big-mana + recur opponent's yard deck and has since evolved into a 1v1 MBC deck. To build MBC competitively, we apply the following control elements:
Hand control fights MUC control, and remove artifact/enchantments that black usually has problems with: Discard falls into two categories; 1 for 1 (Duress, Thoughtseize, Blackmail, Ostracize, Distress), many for 1 (Mind twist, Mind Shatter, Mind Sludge, Myojin of Night's Reach, Hymn to Tourach, Wrench Mind, Persecute, Bloodhusk Ritualist, Stupor)
Creature control removes opposing generals and their threats: Spot removal (Chainer's Edict, Tendrils of Corruption, Consuming Vapors, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, Shriekmaw, Duplicant), Sweepers (Decree of pain, Dregs of Sorrow, Oblivion Stone, Decree of Pain, Revier Demon, Steel Hellkite )
Evasion on a 5/5 body = 5 turn clock, which while not shabby, only puts moderately pressure on our opponents
{X}{B}: Put target artifact or creature card with converted mana cost X from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control tapped. Then that player puts the top X cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.
The first clause translates to instant stealy access to you opponent's creatures and artifacts in the graveyard so long as mana to spend. Note that Geth does not need to tap to active this. The second clause translates to a mill effect that draws more creatures and artifacts for you to steal.
Building MBC around Geth:
MBC plays to Geth's abilities for its reuse of creature and artifact threats in your opponent's deck. Getting Geth online is matter of
Initial creature and artifact targets : Creatures are a dime a dozen, whether discarded from the hand or removed from play. Fortunately, EDH is artifact heavy is discarding your opponent's early mana rocks adds more fuel to Geth's fire.
Big Mana: Geth has an insatiable hunger so a large chunk of the deck is dedicated to generating obscene amounts of mana
Swamps Matter: Nirkana Reverant, Magus of the Coffers, Extraplanar Lens, Gauntlet of Power, Cabal Coffers, Bubbling Muck
Mana Denial: Black also employs a lesser known mana denial strategy. Contamination and an active Geth locks out all other colors from lands. Infernal Darkness does the time at a cost of mana (not a problem as we generate big mana), and life (not a problem as black steals life). Helldozer + big mana = recurring land d as EDH employs many non-basics.
I'm currently trying out Altar of Dementia when I actually get my hands on a copy of one. It seems quite good for Geth by giving you a free sac outlet to continuously abuse CIP creatures, and then milling an opponent for more cards in the process to exacerbate the Geth Slippery Slope.
Interesting, this could potentially mill faster than oona. Also, one roadblock I sometimes hit is when an Emrakul flops and shuffles the yard away. If the deck was re tweaked for a true milling strat, then I'd probably run sadistic sacrament and Jester's cap.

Wow this is one nasty general. ;O, I just keep thinking Tangle Wire, Triskelion. and Sculpting steel. Its crazy how much this general with blacks massive ability to generate mana, to turn it into a mono black stax!

Emrakul's shuffle is a trigger so you can geth him while the trigger is on the stack if you have the mana, yeah their graveyard will still shuffle in but you'll have an Emrakul

16 mana is hilarious but rarely happens as you'll would have milled him into the graveyard. The only time I had 16+ mana open was when a pithing needle nicked my necropotence and I was stuck with the last 7 card I would ever draw for the game.
I built this list exact. I love it. its craazy just how strong geth is. once you get contamination in play thats it. Best mono black control list ive played. I had my own with kiki the nightsflower as general. but geth just does more

Yes, geth does a fine job once he gets any sort of value going. The usual strategy is to go big mana and get something reanimate(able) in the yard (preferably from hand). Once geth gets his hand on the first sacrificial goods (other player's expedition map e.g.), its the beginning of the end as you'll keep riding the CA. Most games end with their deck + geth with MBC control playing against their own.
EDIT: Updated list with options for a more hand control route in 1v1. The current deck is adapted for a more "steal their yard" theme with cards like Reanimate, animate dead, and necromancy to suite multi-player as I've been playing that more lately.
-Maindecking contamination again as it too often wins games as you're time-walking your opponents.
-Dust bowl over strip-mine as the re-usability without land recursion is important
-Nevinyrral's disk is looking to get replaced with more something that won't wrath my board
-Crypt rats > bane of the living especially since bane is the only morph
-Still on the fence on Necrotic ooze
Bubbling Muck seems terrible since you have 5 lands that don't produce B off the bat, and it's sorcery-speed. Unless you use it before you plan on "going off," as it were, to guarantee no counters or Angel's Grace or whatnot.
The muck is much like high tide except without the infinite mana combos. Its often used to get a lot of mana early to play a large discard spell or to pull geth online and make use of his ability. I'll consider more stable mana like gilded lotus in future testing.
Regarding bane of the living, the cost for playing and immediately using his ability seems too steep. The minus -x/-x will punch through pro-black, but it essentially costs 2 more to activate than Crypt Rats.
EDIT: Removed disk (running too many artifacts already), Necrotic Ooze, plague winds for dreamstone hedron, Bane of the living, and Drana
Id love to test my mbc to yours....it'd be fun! (I play a xiahou dun, the one-eyed . To throw in my 2 cents as a previous player of geth, add in rings of brighthearth. Allows for infinite mama via coffers and deserted temple and also basalt monolith. Also doubles geth's recursion and other silly effects . I'd add more suggestions but typing from my mobile is a pain.

This, and Black Market. Note that adding counters is NOT a "may" ability, and it works for ANY creature hitting the yard (not just yours).
EDIT: Did not see the 1-v-1 part about this deck. Black Market is more of a multi-player card, but it's still free mana every turn.
