Great article for players to learn the basics of Rochester draft. In all honesty, though, this doesn't seem the ideal time of year to publish an article on this topic.

Good job nevertheless!

I'd like to try rochester, just once. But it takes a lot of effort to organise - there's not that much interest. It also generally takes too much time. Generally the only time available for drafts round here is evenings, from about 8 onwards, and we just about fit a booster draft into that time. good article though.

But twice you mention the figure of 27 boosters. Where does this come from? 8x3=24...

Tit-for-tat is a decidedly poor rochester drafting strategy that will inevitably start wars. Bad idea.

I changed the references to the number of packs to 24.

Also, it's worth pointing out that the 10-second interval betwen picks is found online, to account for varying computer speeds and the potential for lag in the connection. A physical Rochester draft uses a four-second interval between picks, and a 25-second review period between packs. This makes them move along reasonably well.

Very good article. A few people down at my local card shop organised a six person Champions Rochester Draft that turned out to be very fun. Granted, it lasted for around 5-6 hours, but it was massively fun.

It's a good thing rochester draft still gets played or this article would be totally irrelevant.

Oh wait.
