I saw there was no decklist in the database for Iname as One, and I can't resist the challenge of this monstrously expensive and thoroughly forgotten legend. Consider me a Savior of Kamigawa.
In order to get big Iname out for maximum profit, you need to cast it hard for 12, and somehow get it back to your hand to tutor up any number of crazy spirits. Some of the spirit targets are more combo like Iname, Death Aspect, tech like Kagemaro, and some of which beat down, like Spirit of the Night and Body of Jukai. You can get Iname back by a) self bounce or b) recurring it from the graveyard after it dies.
The deck functions perfectly fine as a GB spiritcraft deck, and you don't really need to jump through hoops to get Iname as One out unless you want to. In fact, casting it just to have a fat 8/8 that reanimates something when it dies is pretty reasonable against a lot of the mass removal out there. But all the tools are in place to do broken things if you need to.
Big up to Magnus Magicus for some inspiration from his Myojin of Life's Web/Night's Reach decks. Any comments, flames, quips or spiritcraft triggers are welcome, and thanks in advance!
Awesome, man. I played the Big Iname for a while; the artwork is easily some of the coolest in Magic, IMO.
I'm surprised to see a lack of Conspiracy, which lets you tutor up any creature with Iname and do fun things with Spiritcraft (like Promised Kannushi loops). Ashes of the Fallen can perform a similar function, but are they just too gimmicky, maybe?
