The Card Creation League is a monthly contest in which players compete over seven rounds. Each month has an overall theme and/or story, determined by that month's host.
Each round, the host will assign a card creation task to the players. This task may vary between teams or players.
The first three rounds are open to everyone who joined in the sign-up thread, which will be posted near the end of the previous month. After these rounds, the Top 8 players will move on to three single elimination rounds to determine a winner.
Rounds usually last three to four days for submissions and about two days for critiques, but the host has final say in making the schedule.
For the first three rounds, players are divided into teams. Four teams is standard, but there may be more or less depending on the number of players. Each team will review another team's cards during the critique period of that round.
Each player must submit a Top 3 ranking for the team he or she critiques at the end of each round. Each 1st place is worth 3 points, 2nd place 2 points, and 3rd place 1 point.
Additionally, each player can receive 2 bonus points per round. One point is awarded for posting a Top 3, and one point for providing critiques for that team's cards.
Suggested areas to critique include creativity, balance, printability, and relation to the overall theme or that player's previous cards.
Players who do not post a card or a Top 3 will be put on "probation." Top 3 violations for a round can be removed by posting or PMing the host with your Top 3 before the end of the next round. Any player that would receive a second violation is disqualified from further competition that month.
At the end of the first three rounds, the Top 8 players will be selected by points (usually the top 2 from each team). In the case of ties, there may be more than 8 players advancing. The host will determine matchups for single elimination. At the end of each elimination round, remaining players not in that matchup will choose a winner to advance. The host will break any ties.
The final round is determined by public poll.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Overview
The CCL is among the more fun games on the MtGSalvation forums due to its inherent aspect of interactivity among the Leaguers (that’s you). We actively critique each other’s card designs at the end of each round, putting a more personal interest into our cards and generally making us all better designers. Typically, we build worlds more complete than many games, as each round builds on the designs and ideas of previous rounds in the month. The CCL allows for Leaguers to plumb the depths of creativity, as the point schedule aspect allows for three full rounds without fear of elimination.
* Schedule
o The CCL will run six rounds, each lasting five days.
+ Rounds 1, 2 & 3 will be free-for-alls with each leaguer fighting for the most points during critiques. At the beginning of each of these rounds. The host will divide the league members evenly into two teams and each team will be assigned their design challenge. At the challenge deadline, the round will elapse into the critique section (see Critiques below). Once the critique section ends, the host will tally points and post the next round. Team rosters are likely to change between rounds; the new rosters will be included in the initial posting for the next round.
o Each round will last five days: 3.5 to finalize designs, 1.5 for critiques.
o The schedule will usually operate according to US Easter time zone (GMT -5) We will stick to this schedule as closely as possible, adjusting as necessary.
* Challenge Rounds
o At the start of each round, the host will post the challenge for the round. This may be, at the host’s discretion, a single challenge for all leaguers, a list for each leaguer to choose from, challenges assigned to each leaguer, or other challenge variation.
o Each Leaguer will post his/her entry by the deadline, 3.5 days after the round is posted.
* Critique Rounds
o At the end of each challenge round, the host, or an individual the host designates, will officially close the round and open the forum for critiques. After this point, modifying the post containing your entry for the round will incur penalties (see Penalties section).
o Each Leaguer will thoroughly critique at least 50% of the entries given by the leaguers on the other team.
o In addition to the critiques, each Leaguer generates his/her list of the Top 3 entries for the round. The Top 3 listings are the chief source of points within the CCL and are therefore required to complete. Even if critiques are not completed, Top 3’s must be listed to avoid penalties (see Penalties for penalty schedule). Regardless of the cards actually critiqued by a given Leaguer, Top 3’s can be drawn from any valid entry of the round. Submitting Top 3’s grants one point.
o A valid critique does not need to be lengthy. A few constructive sentences will do as long as they are meaningful. Neither “Hated it,” “Too expensive,” nor “Bahhrokken!!!” are valid critiques.
Example:
The following card is submitted by Fitzgerald:
A few decent critics:
from Tiberius: Templating issue with “nonpermanent card,” it's confusing and should just read “instant or sorcery card.” And the cost seems steep: I’m giving up a mana, a card, and immediate access to the card I looked for. Creative, but not bad.
from Wilhelmina: I hate the name. Also the shuffle part should be right after removing the tutored card instead of on a separate line. Seems powerful as an instant, play it on the opponents turn and you get basically a free draw, but you get to pick it.
from Beauregard: A bit complicated for uncommon. It doesn’t go to microtext on a render (sans flavor text) but it still isn’t all that intuitive.
* Valid Entry Constitution
o A valid entry in a given round cleanly delivers all required components of the challenge. The CCL is based around card design, so each challenge will direct Leaguers to design one or more cards, but other components may be given according to the judge’s discretion. Historically, these non-card components have included such things as keyword mechanic designs, story pieces, and various ideas for the judge to incorporate into later rounds. Include only what is described by the challenge requirements, as superfluous items may sway judgings unfairly and will incur penalties.
o It is customary to include card renders in entries. This is not required. Some Leaguers may not have access to render design software and therefore will not be penalized for posting an entry without a render. However, it must be understood that a proper render is easier to judge/critique as it is more pleasing to the eye, more memorable and allows for Leaguers to judge the card by its wordiness, a very important aspect of a card’s design. Common rendering software used include Magic Set Editor (free program, the standard that most amateur designers use), PhotoShop (not free), and GIMP (free PhotoShop knockoff).
* Scoring
o The bulk of available points will be derived from Top 3 listings, as is League custom. Within each Top 3 listing, the choice for 1st place will be awarded 3 points, the choice for 2nd place will receive 2 points, and the choice for 3rd place will receive 1 point. It is common for Leaguers to post an Honorable Mention or two along with their T3 listings. Honorable Mentions are not awarded points. Posting T3s is required and awards one point for completion of the requirements. There are penalties for failure to post T3s (see Penalties section).
o Critiques are an optional aspect of the CCL, therefore no penalties are given for failure to complete critiques. Any Leaguer completing critiques for at least 50% of the other team's entries will receive 1 bonus point. An additional point will be awarded if a Leaguer critiques all valid entries in the round.
o As noted in the section on Valid Entry Constitution, entries are encouraged to contain proper card renders. Some Leaguers may not have access to render design software and will not be penalized for posting an entry without a render.
* Penalties
o Failure to post Top 3s as required during the Critique section of any round will put a Leaguer on probation. While on probation, failure to post an Top 3 in any later round will disqualify that Leaguer for the remainder of the month.
o Once a Round elapses into its critique section, any Leaguer modifying their entry after any leaguer has posted a critique, will be disqualified for the round.
o Failure to post an entry within the Challenge round will put a Leaguer on probation. While on probation, failure to post an entry in any later round will disqualify that Leaguer for the remainder of the month.
* Resources
o This is a templating guideline compiled by Kraj. It is quite concise and very useful.
o Making Magic by Mark Rosewater, current head of Magic Design at Wizards of the Coast. Making Magic is a weekly article detailing the trials, tribulations and achievements of Magic R&D in riveting prose.
o Magiccards.info is the database mtgsalvation draws upon when you use the [card] tag. The advanced search functionality is useful for searching all cards officially printed by WotC.
o Gatherer is the database maintained officially by WotC. It has slightly different functionality than magiccards.info, but the differences are too numerable to list here. (Someone should write an article about that)
o Your other Leaguers are fantastic resources. We, more than the players of other games on this forum, are a community, as can be seen by the dialogue of any CCL thread.
+ Question, consult with, challenge and encourage each other at every opportunity.
Each round, the players have a chance of getting a total of 100 points toward their score. Each score is determined by the following equation:
The grading of 3 points for first place, 2 points for second and 1 for third still stands. This is also the case for up to 2 points for crits and Top3.
Total points of player A in round N = 100 * X/Y
Where:
X = Total number of points given by judges + Bonus points for critiques/Top3
Y = Total number of points possible (3*Number of judges + Bonus Points)
This way the grading is more streamlined in the fact that all rounds up to going to top 8 are graded equally, and there is no handicap for any team that has fewer judges.
Each player starts the next round with the score that he previously had, and another possible 100 points is given to him at the end of that round. Therefore, there is a possible 300 points before the CCL goes to top 8.
6 hours have passed. The air is stagnant with energy, yet it is somehow stable.
The cataclysmic storm caused an explosion to happen, due to the reactions of elements that have been occuring through out the maelstrom. Some people seem to have been missing... around eight people are left unscathed and were able to stand up.
The eight people looked at each other with confusion. Thoughts of where the others are riddled their minds, especially the old sage who has been teaching them the mastery of elements all of this time.
After much investigation, it seems that some people have escaped from this building before the incident, fearing for their lives and overwhelmed by energy to the point that they could become ill. Others that have been participating have been found in various areas of the building, alive, yet very injured and perhaps scarred from elemental energy.
The old man was no where to be found, after much investigation, only one slip of paper with his hand writing and his very own robe was found.
The note said:
"It seems that my experiment to find such elements has backfired. Oh how I was so curious to find the finest peak of power with the forces of the existing, only to be caught into it. Such power, that one second. Despite the shear pain, it was marvelous."
"To those who stand remaining. I wish for you all to continue on with the experiment. I may be missing, but I am certainly not dead yet. With the energy aloft, you will find that you have unlocked each others powers and taken it to your own. You will leave this building a more powerful being no matter what."
"Now. Observing everyone ... I will pair you against someone who has completely different qualities from you from the beginning. We will ignite everyone's beacons with a clash of elements coming from living material and the catalysts of magic: We beings."
Round 4:Create one card using your opponent's elements. In addition, you are to choose a new Element to add to your roster. THIS NEW ELEMENT CANNOT BE USED BY AN OPPONENT, but it can be used by yourself only in combination of an opposing element. (Choosing a new element is mandatory.)
Example: I have Fire/Ice/Wind
My opponent has Poison/Spiritual/Dark
I can choose another Element, say, Water.
That means I can only use the following:
Poison/Spiritual/ or Dark. Or Water, in combination of the previous three elements, but not by itself.
The Pairings and how grading will go down as.
(This is how it works for those who are unfamiliar with it: You will be paired against an opponent. You make the best card you can. After that, you are to critique every other team and choose which player of that team had the better card. You cannot critique your own opponent at all, just the other 3 teams. The player who has the most votes than the other opponent will advance to the next round.)
Pairings are based off current Elements.
Blackbull - Natural (Earth/Water/Destruction) VS. Darkfire_Games - Lightning (Ice/Creation/Time)
Gerrard’s Mom - Force (Artifice/Mental/Creation) VS. Shiniryuu - Creation (Natural/Healing/Absorption/Illusion)
Ryder052 - Ice (Natural/Creation/Force) VS. Rocket Powered Turbo Slug - Fire (Wind/Destruction/Lightning)
Phyrexian Editor - Time (Natural/Space/Light/Artifice) VS. Koopa - Natural (Earth/Creation/Destruction/Fire)
Special condition to Gerrard's Mom and Shiniryuu: Due to both of you having "Creation" as an Element, I'm letting you both pick two brand new elements instead of one to use for this Round. However, be sure to put down which specific element you are going to use for future rounds.
Looking at the updated list, it wouldn't matter since another pairing is at the same situation. Ignore the above, and just pick one new element. (Apologies on my end.)
Also: If there are any Elements I have missed from previous rounds, please speak up, show me links, and I will make changes.

Yes, except you have the option of using the new element.
@Koopa: Yes, you can add an Element even though your opponent has that element. Yes, you may use it, but not by itself.
@Shiniryuu: Updated. I seem to have missed Gerrard's as well so his will be updated as well.
Edit: I have updated all of the elements that people currently have. As for the special condition, I have decided to just drop it since another team is in the same situation. Just pick 1 element and work with what you are given. Apologies on my end.

Well, let's hope that December's edition ends before the end of January.
Also, exotic South America? That's not a compliment to me... it sounds a bit of xenophobic/racist. We are not exotic. We are ourselves, like every country on the world. I'm a brazilian. I don't live in a tree, don't dance samba, don't swing in a rope, don't live with monkeys nor exotic animals.

Q: Let's say I choose lightning and creation from Darkfire_Games' elements. I'm forced to choose an element he doesn't own and make use of it? or can I just make a card based only on those two aforementioned elements? (I have a good idea for lightning + creation and don't want to use any other element. EDIT: Because, you know, there says it is mandatory to choose it, but nothing about using it.
Lightning + Creation:
Sprouting Rayblast2RG
Sorcery R
Sprouting Rayblast deals 2 damage to each creature and each player. For each nontoken creature put into a graveyard this way, put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield.
We don't know if choosing the new element will matter in the next round, so it shouldn't be necessarely useless. Anyway, what if I choose the new element as one of my opponent's (for example I choose lightning from DarkFire's elements, then choose creation as the new one.)
Seems pretty clear to me that you must choose a new element, that element cannot be one that your opponent has, and you don't necessarily have to use the new element in your card (you must use one or more of your opponent's elements, and you can use your newly selected element if you want).
We don't know if choosing the new element will matter in the next round, so it shouldn't be necessarely useless. Anyway, what if I choose the new element as one of my opponent's (for example I choose lightning from DarkFire's elements, then choose creation as the new one.)
You do choose an element regardless. You can use the new element, but not alone. It may be chosen/used even if your opponent has it, but just like the rule I stated for choosing new elements, you must accompany it with another element when creating your submission card.
1) Again, grading will go like this:
I'm Player A, and I'm going against Player B. C/D, E/F, and G/H are in pairs.
Player A and B makes the card, they are to critique C, D, E, F, G, and H but not each other. They decide if C or D has the better card, and so forth.
Repeat this process until C/D, E/F, and G/H are completed. I have given you all 3 days time because I know people will be busy playing/eating/working around the house on Christmas day so I figure the extra day will make up for it. If you are too busy with full critiques, that is fine. Just at least take 10~15 minutes of your time to review every card and make a good judgment call to each pairing.
1b) I'm not going to update the new elements immediately. I'll try to get it all updated by tommorow night or Sunday.
2) Merry Christmas to everyone who happens to read this.
Blackbull: Well, a 2 damage to everyone and everything is a lot reddish, however, fits green very well. The second ability is only good against low toughness creatures, but is a nice ability after all. It's properly costed and the rarity fits. 8/10.
Darkfire_Games: Legendary? O'rly? ok... Well, first, a grammar error: "Whenever a Forest you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield". But It's alright... However, it's a bit, if not, a lot, OP. A free land whenever a forest you control is buried and also a all-lands returner at the cost of a simple sacrifice? No. 5.8/10.
Winner: Blackbull
Ryder052: It's a very good card. Double pseudo-keywords? Nice, they have a synergy. However, the rarity should be rare. The ability is nice and powerfull. The second ability complements very well the first, making it a deadly card. 8.1/10.
Rocket_Powered_Power_Slug: It's a nice card, however, powerful. It deserves a rare slot, not uncommon. Also, it's a nightmare to the rules. Nice card, hard to make it works as you would like to. I wouldn't see it printed as it is. 7.5/10.
Winner: Ryder052
Koopa: A very Boros-like creature. The abilities fits the mana cost and the colors. However, the 0/2 body is a too much weaker. Should be a 2/2 for 2RW. The flavor text fits and made me laugh. 7/10.
Phyrexian Editor: Should cost less, as it depends too much on countering a spell to activate its second ability. However, it's a very good card with a inovative design. Very flavorfull and fits very well the elements that were chosen to make it. 8/10.
Winner: Phyrexian Editor
:sympw::sympu::sympb::sympr::sympg:
They say life is a rainbow. However they're wrong. Life is only GREEN and RED. Green is money and greed. Red is war and blood.

For a better word. For a cleaner word. For a REAL world. Wikileaks: Information wants to be free. :symw::symu::symb::symr::symg:
Not bad. a counter-able Volcanic Fallout that gives you a saproling for every creature killed. with a Humility you turn all creatures into your personal saproling army.
Without a rarity, this card is hard to judge. With this in play, you can Armageddon, grab a free land for each forest you lost, then sac this enchantment and pull back all of your other lands. At least you made it legendary so you can't sac one forest for 4 free lands from your library.
Blackbull
Beautiful. No complaints. Shuts a creature down a number of turns equal to the damage it would have dealt.
Nice card. My only complaint is that its an artifac, it doesn't really need to be. Also the bounce ability should be monoblue.
Gerrard's Mom
An uncommon Draining Whelk. I like weird counter spells and this tops the list. you get to drop a self animating artifact (who's counters can be added or removed by other cards). I like it.
Not a really exciting card. combines Prodigal Pyromancerwith Minister of Impediments. 0/2 makes it feel real weak. and the activation mana costs make it a little less playable. nice flavor and use of elements.
It took me a while to get the flavor of this card, but I assume it's a reference to the new growth that rises out of the forest after a lightning storm clears out all the old growth? If so, that is really pretty cool.
VS.
A couple templating things: things aren't "sent" to the graveyard, they're "put into" a graveyard, but I don't penalize you for that. This is a strange card. I suppose one could build a deck with lots of land sacrifice around it, but that deck doesn't sound like much fun to play, since if you don't find the Orchard (or Crucible of Worlds, I suppose), you're just out of luck. To make things worse I can't think off the top of my head of any really flashy cards that sacrifice forests as an additional cost... though I guess you could keep blinking Terastodon and getting tons of 3/3s.
Blackbull
So cool. I think this could be more aggressively costed at W since powerful as it is it's still conditional.
VS.
This seems expensive for a specter, since the later you cast a specter the less value you get out of it typically. Though it's a novel implementation, I could have used more conceptual creativity.
Gerrard's Mom
Hellbent Radiance! I had to recheck to make sure this wasn't a creature when I read "each other creature," then I remembered that this deals damage to a target creature, then I was confused as to whether you were referring to that creature's colors or Shadow Flare's colors, so some retemplating is probably called for. This also doesn't feel mythic to me, though it would definitely be a solid rare. Finally, I don't get the dark flavor. Yet if I go with how I think it works, I like the card.
VS.
This card would be a rules headache (see Humility) and would never be printed at uncommon. It would grind the game to a halt during every combat phase. Sometimes cards that seem elegant are actually really hard to make work.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"You live and learn. At any rate, you live." -Douglas Adams
BlackBull vs Darkfire Games
I'm not entirely sure what the flavor of BlackBull's card is, seems odd to make saprolings out of lightning, but it works well enough.
Darkfire Games, you want to say "is put into your graveyard," not "sent." Probably broken with anything that requires land sacrifice; maybe you meant something along the lines of Sacred Ground? Or you could have added a cost to the trigger to keep it from getting out of hand. Ryder vs Slug
Ryder, the double ability word is pretty strange. If you have no cards in hand, it ends up somewhere between Brightflame and Lavalanche. Neither of them was mythic worthy, and neither is this.
Rocket Powered Turbo Slug's enchantment is pretty cool, screws around with combat in a white/blue way, and I guess I can get the flavor there. Phyrexian Editor vs Koopa
Phyrexian Editor has a neat Draining Whelk variant, cheaper but smaller and with limited uses. Similar to Summoner's Bane. Missing rarity.
Koopa, Stun Sniper is better than your card in almost every way. I think you could have improved the card with a little research.
Blackbull: Sprouting Rayblast2RG
Sorcery R
Sprouting Rayblast deals 2 damage to each creature and each player. For each nontoken creature put into a graveyard this way, put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield.
A great card. Basically an Earthquake that makes dudes when its done doing it's buisness. I super cool way to mix your elements. Nice card.
Darkfire_Games: The Eternal Orchard 2GG
Legendary Enchantment
Whenever a Forest you control is sent to the graveyard from the battlefield, you may search your library for a land card and put it onto the battlefield. Then, shuffle your library.
Exile The Eternal Orchard: Put all land cards in your graveyard onto the battlefield. Though the great hellfire reduced the rest of the forest to less than ash, this wonder was untouched, pristine and pure.
It's a really nice card but it seems weird. You sacrifice the Eternal card... that flavor doesn't make any sense. And the card seems weak overall seeing as Forest don't go to the grave much. It's nice idea, but executed poorly.
Winner: Blackbull
Gerrard’s Mom: Blinded by Sin1W
Enchantment - Aura (U)
Flash
Vanishing (At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from this permanent. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)
When Blinded by Sin enters the battlefield, prevent all damage that enchanted creature would deal this turn. For each 1 damage prevented this way, put a time counter on Blinded by Sin.
Enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step.
A nice card, but it seems like there is alot going on, maybe too much. It makes the card look very cluttered for something that is basically Pacifism.
Shiniryuu: Filigree Specter3UB
Artifact Creature -- Specter Illusion {R}
Flying
Whenever Filigree Specter deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card.
1UB: Return Filigree Specter to its owner's hand. Fear not, you won't remember a thing after it slashes throught you. -- Adventurer's Survival Guide, vol. IV
Awesome card. Exactly what Hippie wants to be. A great finisher for the UB decks.
Winner: Shiniryuu
Ryder052: Shadow FlareXBR
Instant (MR)
Shadow Flare deals X damage to target player and X damage to target creature that player controls.
Hellbent - Radiance - If you have no cards in hand, Shadow Flare deals X damage to each other creature that shares a color with it.
Love the use of the Rakdos flavor. It perfectly combines the X spells of both black and red. It seems well costed and perfectly rared. The problem with this card, IMO, is that you gave it radiance. While I applaud you for going into a basically unexplored mechanic it doesn't fit flavorwise with me. Shadow Flare? Radiance? Eh, seems loose. Also, putting both of those mechanics on the same effect looks weird and too be honest confusing since you can't distinguish what part is Hellbent and which part is Radiance. (I mean I know, and you know, but a player may not know if they are new and weren't around when those mechanics were around.)
Rocket Powered Turbo Slug: Frozen ZoneUW
Enchantment (U)
Attacking and blocking creatures lose all abilities. "...And to your left are the Apercian Ice Fields. I can barely stand there, yet some people insist on warring over it. Its hard to be a good fighter when you can't keep your footing." Kopsa, World Guide
This card looks very good. Well costed, and well rared. I really don't see any problem with it and I imagine the art on this card would be just hilarious. Sorry there isn't a deep critique but it seems good.
Winner: Rocket Powered Turbo Slug
Wow, I really dropped the ball on this round. Oh well, seeing as this is my first contest creating cards and I have only started creating cards this month I say that I did pretty good. I learned a lot from this contest and it will definitely help me in the future.
Custom Card League Rules Compendium
* Overview
* Schedule
* Challenge Rounds
* Critique Rounds
* Valid Entry Constitution
* Scoring
* Penalties
* Resources
* Credits
------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Overview
* Schedule
o The CCL will run six rounds, each lasting five days.
* Challenge Rounds
o At the start of each round, the host will post the challenge for the round. This may be, at the host’s discretion, a single challenge for all leaguers, a list for each leaguer to choose from, challenges assigned to each leaguer, or other challenge variation.
o Each Leaguer will post his/her entry by the deadline, 3.5 days after the round is posted.
* Critique Rounds
o At the end of each challenge round, the host, or an individual the host designates, will officially close the round and open the forum for critiques.
* Valid Entry Constitution
o A valid entry in a given round cleanly delivers all required components of the challenge.
* Scoring
o The bulk of available points will be derived from Top 3 listings, as is League custom.
* Penalties
o Failure to post Top 3s as required during the Critique section of any round will put a Leaguer on probation.
* Resources
o This is a templating guideline compiled by Kraj.

Round 2
Round 4: Create one card using your opponent's elements.
Blackbull - Natural (Earth/Water/Destruction)
VS.
Darkfire_Games - Lightning (Ice/Creation/Time)
Gerrard’s Mom - Force (Artifice/Mental/Creation)
VS.
Shiniryuu - Creation (Natural/Healing/Absorption/Illusion)
Ryder052 - Ice (Natural/Creation/Force)
VS.
Rocket Powered Turbo Slug - Fire (Wind/Destruction/Lightning)
Phyrexian Editor - Time (Natural/Space/Light/Artifice)
VS.
Koopa - Natural (Earth/Creation/Destruction/Fire)
Special condition to Gerrard's Mom and Shiniryuu: Due to both of you having "Creation" as an Element, I'm letting you both pick two brand new elements instead of one to use for this Round. However, be sure to put down which specific element you are going to use for future rounds.Looking at the updated list, it wouldn't matter since another pairing is at the same situation. Ignore the above, and just pick one new element. (Apologies on my end.)
Also: If there are any Elements I have missed from previous rounds, please speak up, show me links, and I will make changes.

When Blinded by Sin enters the battlefield, prevent all damage that enchanted creature would deal this turn. For each 1 damage prevented this way, put a time counter on Blinded by Sin.
Enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step.

Lightning + Creation:
Sprouting Rayblast 2RG
Sorcery R
Sprouting Rayblast deals 2 damage to each creature and each player. For each nontoken creature put into a graveyard this way, put a 1/1 green Saproling creature token onto the battlefield.
New element: Destruction
Seems pretty clear to me that you must choose a new element, that element cannot be one that your opponent has, and you don't necessarily have to use the new element in your card (you must use one or more of your opponent's elements, and you can use your newly selected element if you want).
You do choose an element regardless. You can use the new element, but not alone. It may be chosen/used even if your opponent has it, but just like the rule I stated for choosing new elements, you must accompany it with another element when creating your submission card.
I'm runing to work right now, but I'll post my card from there when I get some free time.

Sprouting Rayblast 2RG
Sorcery R

A great card. Basically an Earthquake that makes dudes when its done doing it's buisness. I super cool way to mix your elements. Nice card.
Darkfire_Games:
The Eternal Orchard 2GG
Gerrard’s Mom:
Blinded by Sin 1W
Enchantment - Aura (U)
Flash
Vanishing (At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from this permanent. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)
When Blinded by Sin enters the battlefield, prevent all damage that enchanted creature would deal this turn. For each 1 damage prevented this way, put a time counter on Blinded by Sin.
Enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step.
A nice card, but it seems like there is alot going on, maybe too much. It makes the card look very cluttered for something that is basically Pacifism.
Shiniryuu:
Filigree Specter 3UB
Artifact Creature -- Specter Illusion {R}
Ryder052:
Shadow Flare XBR
Rocket Powered Turbo Slug:
Frozen Zone UW
