It's hard not to play Blue when you can, but this is one of the few exeptions that make It actually makes sense.
The main reason is the power to Ramp into very powerfull spells, or abilities such as Oona's.
I'm having trouble making cuts recommendations because I don't know you or your style but...

"I think EDH would be more fun for the majority of participants if players just showed eachother their decks rather than actually playing games out."
I already have Vampiric tutor but Demonic Tutor will be sweet if i had an extra one. Reprocess is interesting, same as the Bargain but so far card draw hasnt been the issue. DeathCloud might be overdoing it...don't know cause haven't tried it. And Crucible of Worlds would be to help what???
It's a good card but if it's only to bring back the Coffers i dont think is enough reason unless there is another reason that i dont see.
The deck has a solid creature control. It has some trouble with swarns of tokens...but usually dig for the answers on time. The deck has lots of disruption and a great late game. I usually play Oona very late in the game. And make tons of tokens. Contamination is a back-breaker at any point in the game. same as Infernal darkness that i dont have in the deck.
The weakest point of the deck is enchantments...obviously. For that i have few reset buttons, but sometimes is not enough. One little combo that i want to try to combat this is Liquidmetal Coating + Gate to Phyrexia but it might be just too cute.
Suffer the Past is so good that I think it's crazy not to run it. Let me count the ways it rules:
1) Graveyard Hate: How often is your opponent getting crap from his graveyard? How often do you talk about/personally abuse YOUR graveyard? Well, Suffer the Past puts the brakes on this. When your opponent puts Genesis in the graveyard, you can take it right out; along with anything else vaguely useful.
2) Drain Life: If your opponent has cards in his/her GY, then this is doing more than Drain Life at instant speed for less mana without restrictions on only B mana.
It's so good, so easy to use, and so effective that in a deck that can use the Coffers package.
Also, relating to your Coffers, they tend to have a short life span around here. Petrified Field is a must to get it back later. While we're on the subject of lands, I'd also recommend Ghost Quarter, Wasteland and Tectonic Edge if you have them. I'd put all these in the deck before Reliquary Tower. The Tower lets you win more when you have an advantageous position. The land destruction nonbasics keep you from losing to something like Academy Ruins, Volrath's Stronghold or even a giant Raging Ravine that somehow happened (you never know).
Steel Hellkite is one of the only ways for black decks to deal with artifacts and enchantments. It's also just a good, flexible card and a beater to top it off. I use it in pretty much all my decks without W/G these days as a backup plan.

I have to say that all your recomendations are awesome. I like them all!
A friend of mine is trying Suffer the Past in his deck. I was actually waiting for his comments about it after playing with it. But It seems that I have good references from you. Let me see what to change for...
About the non-basic land suggestions...I like Petrified Fiel. It's a sneaky way to recur the Coffers...and I like sneaky.
About the Stip Mine-like lands...i'd added only one more. Don't want to depend to much on Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to not get color screw. You also might be right on Reliquary Tower. It's good, but not really that crucial like Tectonic Edge could be.
I have to agree with almost everything GHoooSTS said except I really don't like Steel Hellkite much. Might be worth a try but he is pretty slow and mana intensive. You could probably lose Lake of the Dead in addition to the Reliquary Tower since it is setting you back swamps in exchange for explosive turns which isn't really worth the trade. You should add Sundering Titan and Infernal Darkness to your bench, they are both very effective at what they do.
The two sickest cards in my own Oona deck are actually two artifacts that I believe you'll enjoy immensely. They are Rings of Brightheart and Ashnod's Altar.
What do you "copy" with Rings of Brightheart besides Oona's ability? I'm curious
Also, How do you use Ashnod's Altar without being completely broken?
I have to say that the most importan artifact in my list could be Vedalken Orrery It speeds the deck to the point that even a MonoBlue deck has a hard time to catch up!
@Donald...The bench just got expanded!
I just added Lake of the Dead to the deck. So i'll give it a try before removing it from the list.
And i agree that the Dragon could be a bit too slow.Maybe few years ago, but EDH decks are becoming way more competitive.
Ashnod's Altar justifies itself just coupled with Oona herself - if you've got say 6 mana open, you spend 5 of it for four tokens, sac them all to ashnod's altar and tap the last + the floating mana for 8 more tokens. You've milled 12 from someone and created 8 1/1 flyers, and if they don't get swept, next turn - even without a land drop - you can repeat the same thing for 20 (8 sacs + 4 lands for the X) and then 40 flyers, milling 60 more. Unless you're worried about being too strong (which you can always avoid just by not abusing it), Ashnod's is wonderful with Oona.

I'm aware of how busted the two are when in play...But what else is Ashnod's Altar good for if i don't have Oona in play?
There will be many games where Oona won't stick as easy as i'd liked to.So meanwhile, i have the Altar either in hand or even worse, in play without producing any positive effect for me. This is the situation i want to avoid.
I guess It could be good with Bloodghast and the like...but to what purpue other than ramp?...Maybe if the deck needs more ramp this is a good option.

Is this milling them with Painter's Servant in play? Even monocolor decks are almost half land. The card may be good enough but it looks more like really strong situational ramp that can often be a dead card. That said you should try it out and let me know how it goes because I've been thinking about it for my Lyzolda deck.:p
THe thing about Ashnod's Altar is that i honestly wouldn't known how to use it if i dont have Oona in play. I've gone through my list over and over and i dont picture it being more that ok. It's an extra sac outlet and ramps me some.Black doesn't have that much of token generators...If I had a BW EDH or a BG or GW i can see how good the card could be.
Even if i wanted to give a try, i dont know what to cut for it...a random Mana Artifact?
Yawgmoth Will seems very interesting. I thought about it long ago, but for some reason i decided to take it out of the bench. It will be like a reanimation spell or like a super Memory Plunder ...I should make good use out of it with all the mana i generate in this deck.
Thanks for the tip!

No problem. The thing that makes it the most busted is this: Invariably throughout the game at least one of your super mana producing lands will be destroyed (urborg, temple, or cofffers). If it's just one, cast Y. Will, play the land from your graveyard...and win.
To take advantage of cards like these (cards you don't want countered), I would play Boseiju, Who Shelters All.
Also, are you not playing Demonic Tutor because you don't have one? If you can get your hands on one...well the card speaks for itself ;).

I like the idea behind the Yawgmoth's Will. As soon as i pick one i should give it a try. What do you suggest to cut for? I think it should be something that does almost the same but with lesser effect.
Unfortunely i have too many EDh that run black.I only have enough Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor to share around all my decks. As soon as i see one i'll jump one.
About Boseiju, Who shelters All...It's a great card against counters...but if nobody is playing counter??? I'd had to have or search forUrborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to make it functional. It's a situational land that might give me positive effects in "some" games. So far counters are problems but not to the point that i can handle. I usually use Vedalken Orrery to be faster than them or just overwhelm them with TONS of mana, so i can cast multiple threats a turn.

I think this is the correct strategy for playing against heavy blue control. The blue decks are simply better and putting in cards just to compete with them makes your deck worse in other matchups and the blue decks will STILL be better even if you have hosers for them. Just do what you can, play to your strengths and make some allies.
So i finally decided to go all the way evil and add Infernal Darkness to the list. It's going to be ugly but necesary...:evillol:
Also added a long-waited demonic Tutor, and a interesting Imp's Mischiefs against instant trickery spells. I need some surprise elements in all my decks.
Im still looking room for Yawgmoths Will however, i dont own the card yet...
I must say I am really impressed by this deck. It looks much more effective then the Oona deck I am playing now, though I feel like I would seriously miss a lot of the awesome blue instants and sorceries if I went mono-black.

I know what you mean about not playing Blue. It's SAD times, but it's for the Greater Good.
I can say that this is one of the most effective ways to use Oona as a general. Plus, you get to play tons of Monters and brutal black spells too.
Black Market is very interesting. I'll sure keep it in mind next time i play the deck. I have to make sure It'll fit the deck strategy. Sculpting Steel seems like a really good add on papper. But, I got the feeling that It could be very situational and redundant more than often. Again, I'll keep the name in my mind.
About the last two cards, I dont usually win by the masive token-attack route. They are more utility bit...chs for the cards that demand sacrificing, like Contamination or Attrition . Now, if Oona gets out of hand with tokes, She dont need extra help. She does it on her own. Maybe a Loxodon Warhammer or a Nightmare Lash might come along to help some.
Yeah, I guess thats something I really need to tweak. I play this deck being way too reliant on Oona birthing all those little guys and milling like crazy. I like your setup more as you seem to really be able to get by quite well without Oona if need be. I must say I really may change my deck around from seeing this.
Oh an interesting card as your playing mono-black it can be quite useful Dauthi Embrace

Im glad you like the list. This deck is very strong and usually either win or it's one of the last one to die.
One little note: The deck is gear for multiplayer, however It has 1v1 elements. One day a friend challenged me to play 1v1 EDH. I told him that all my decks were multiplayer. But he wanted to try his Azuza deck so i said what the heck. I was going to bring Azami since She is the closest i got for 1v1(before i made some changes)...However i brought Oona. I tought she could handle the brokeness of Azuza (1v1 version)...Well, I was right!
First game He went off very fast but i had a chance to come back inthe game, He maneged to pull it off. It was close. After the game another friend told me to forget it, to give it up. That my deck was good but i had no chance agaist the green EDH monster. I said, let's give it another try.
We both had good stars and good draws. It was another close game but I knew what his deck was capable of this time, so I played better and got his a$$. I was happy with my deck, but I wasn't too suprise because i know this deck can handle more than the average.
So there, just a little insight of the deck. Hopefully you have the chance to give it a spin.
I like Dauthit Embrace. Never seen the card before. Not sure if I could take full advantage of the card i this deck. I've won games (or put out players) by swinging with a large creature. But at the same time(and ratio) i've won with big black drain spells, or overwhelming the board with tokens.
Basiclly, I will work only in some situations. And i want a card that does its best at MOST of the time i draw it.
It's deft. worth keeping in mind.
@Donald
I know what you mean about Imp's Misschief. I looks good on papper, but It could be a card that can't do nothing at some games. Black Market got me thinking though.
Yeah, once, since i don't draw him that often. He was brutal!...He's still in try out...I think it got potential...I just need few more games to make sure He's worth the spot.
I can't believe that you are recomending me to cut Loxodon Warhammer...Lifelink???...Is this a trick?
It's LIFE GAIN in a "I kill myslef" mono black deck. I dont have that many ways to gain life after activating Necropotence and the sort.
