I have been tinkering with this since Glissa was first previewed. I have been wanting to make an infect deck for awhile now but i was having a hard time deciding whether or not to go with Skittles as a Mono Black Deck, or go with Vorosh and use Proliferate, or finally go with some sort of Black and Green variation. As I recently attended the Pre-release I got my hands on the Pre-release card, and my choice became a little easier, And now I present Glissa, the Infector.
...maybe I'm crazy... but with the abundance of artifact mana in the format, is Relic Putrescence actually an option? Either they tap it for mana and get more counters, or they don't touch it and you've more or less O-Ringed their Sol Ring or whatever.
...that's probably not actually such a great idea in practice. You are running green, after all, and therefore have access to actual artifact removal.
Maybe Serpent Generator can be useful. It will provide a steady stream of creatures to poison with. Especially nice if used alongside Eldrazi Monument, which is a great way to protect your creatures, kill faster, and fly over blockers. Gaea's Anthem is another good way to boost your team.

Serpent Generator is to mana intensive, 6 to cast 4 to make a measly 1/1, not worth it. Gaea's Anthem is a card a considered when i first thought about making this deck, i tested it and it never really did much for me.
Eldrazi Monument is something i have yet to test i will this weekend when i will have some free time.
EDIT: Tested it out, never really helped that much as i never had a lot of creatures in play whenever i would draw it to make use of it.
MaelstromX - I'm not so sure on the Kusari-gama anymore. Someone pointed out to me in another thread that she probably won't be blocked anyway unless you have no artifacts in the graveyard. I don't know, it seems like it might put them into a very uncomfortable decision, especially once you've got some commander damage done, and it would pretty much guarantee that she almost never gets blocked (but so would Whispersilk), there's probably much better equips for her.

It might be worth testing out. I'm really unsure.
It can work with some of my infect creatures. Basically saying you block you lose creatures, you don't block you lose to poison. Plus Tangle Angler can make creatures block it. So i think i will keep it and see how it plays.

Yeah, I guess so. With infect creatures and spells like Hatred and Howl from Beyond or just the pump ability that Kgama affords you, every attack with an equipped creature is potential death if they don't block and massive board damage if they do.
I'd be interested in finding out how the testing goes. Let me know about it if you wouldn't mind.

I am really liking Kusari-Gama, it alone has helped me win a couple of games in the past 2 days. It becomes insanely powerful when i have Mana Reflection out. Thanks to it and Sol Ring i was able to make different creatures +6/+0 (or higher) quite a few times that whoever i attacked were forced to block or they'd die (to poison counters or general damage).
I seem to be getting beaten down with quite a few enchantments (i.e. humility, confiscate etc...) lately anyone have any ideas of what i should try and test?

Well you're in green, so you've got the best echantment removal in the game at your disposal.
Acidic Slime + any of your ongoing recursion (genesis, vat, deathmantle) can completely destroy a board, not just a single enchantment that's giving you problems. I'd say the slime is a must have.
Woodfall Primus - Expensive to cast but a killer with persist once he gets out there and/or gets recurred. If you feel like you usually have the mana to effectively get him into play then I'd give him a shot.
And then there is the old standard - Krosan Grip (especially good to get it past the blue players counterspells), and recurs with Witness.
I also think you might want to take a look at Deadwood Treefolk for even more recursion. In combo with Genesis/Mimic Vat/Deathmantle he is a recursion nightmare! And when it's Witness you could be recurring with him, in turn getting even more spells back..... could be nuts.
Regrowth is also pretty good thrown into that mix.
Also I have heard some say they had success with Brooding Saurian to combat stealing effects. Never tested it myself.
One more consideration..... ok, two. Even though Glissa's ability centers on artifact recursion, do you find that you've got a few too many? It just seems like an awful lot, and maybe could be thinned a bit in favor of some more recursion or protection/removal.
And have you thought about Howl from Beyond? With all your infect creatures and people generally not wanting to block your commander, it seems like it could be really threatening alt wincon as a single unblocked creature automatically becomes an instant kill possibility.
I haven't played a Glissa build, so I'm working solely on theorycraft here, but I am very interested in how it's playing out as I'll probably end up building her later this year.
- Phyrexian Digester - the only thing going for it is that its an artifact
- Altar of Shadows - never used it
- Kuldotha Forgemaster - not as useful as i had hoped
- Scourge Servant - to slow
- Platinum Angel or Emperion - i am willing to cut one just not sure which one.
+ Acidic Slime
+ Woodfall Primus
+ Krosan Grip
+ Cystbearer
+ Contagious Nim
as for a pump spell i am not sure i need it atm. I might later on but i have to test it first.
Other random thoughts:
Is trigon of infestation too slow? Doesn't seem too mana intensive and works great with your proliferates. Spread the sickness? I was thinkin that would be a great EDH poison card.
If you ever find some of the equipment not good enough, kamahl, fist of krosa seems like a great buffer + trample for your infectors.
PS- almost forgot, if you are in need of more sweep effects, plague boiler would be another great addition to the deck

I believe i have the enchantment problem under control at the moment. i will have to play a few more games to see how my current deck list works out.
Kamahl, Fist of Krosa is a card i forgot about i will add it when i figure out what to remove.
IMO the Trigon is slow but it might be worth it, another card i will test out. EDIT: Didn't test well enough to merit a spot.
Spread the Sickness is a nice card but it cost to much and I'd rather have a board sweeper than it.
Plague Boiler is a card i do not like, i have better things to do then spend the mana to keep it from going critical.
I wouldn't be so sure about cutting the Forgemaster. Not only has it been really great in testing for me, but the random Turn 1 Sol Ring > Mana Crypt > Kuldotha Forgemaster > Blightsteel Colossus is hilarious.
It has potential its just too easy for people to deal with. I had some problems occurring with other decks that needed to be deal with and it had to go.
A lot of your equipment is on the expensive side. Have you considered additional ramp, such as Harrow, Horizon Spellbomb or Sakura-Tribe Elder?
What about Ichor Rats? Your opponents probably aren't going to be playing infect as well, so you wouldn't need to worry about the one counter you are going to get.
Lastly, how is the hate toward you? In multiplayer, it seems like you would have a gigantic bullseye on your forehead, since you're effectively reducing everyone's starting life to 10. Just curious.

You've got more than enough equipments, you could easily take out a couple of those. Mimic Vat is far more useful than several of them.
You're running Mindslaver, so you might as well run Forbidden Orchard for a lock.
And with all the infect creatures, it would seem that Hatred should be an auto-include for an easy kill. Howl from Beyond works much the same.
You're going to need some more mana fixing too. Twilight Mire and Gilt-Leaf Palace for starters. Coalition Relic, Darksteel Ingot, and Golgari Signet on the artifact side. Or maybe Armillary Sphere since you can recur it and use it again.

I cube, I play EDH, and I can't afford Legacy. The other formats can suck it.
You really need some auto includes like Tooth and Nail and now that its out Green Sun's Zenith. Genesis Wave would be nice in here too with more mana ramp.
