This is my take on an Ashling the Pilgrim deck. I minimized the number of creatures in the deck and do other things that many would consider to reflect a typical build around this general. You may, however, notice some unusual card choices. Please feel free to let me know what you think.

@ Donald: I Actually just added Hoarding dragon to the list today. Looking forward to see how it works. Seems solid enough on paper. I like the land recommendations and the map to retrieve them. Don't have a strip-mine but will add the valakut to try it out. If I do eventually run the strip-mine, ruination will likely be going in with other land-destruction spells. Although, I am hesitant to take the deck in that direction. I really want to just focus on building Ashling up to swing with her. The goal was to make a moderately strong casual deck. (Jhoira is my more competitive one), but who knows... Ashling may surprise me.
@Wildfire393: Your suggests are spot on. I was thinking that the deck could use more spot removal, and if it is difficult to counter said removal, then all the better. I also feel as though Breath of Dargaaz has been underwhelming, killer against tokens, but I already have many ways to deal with them. Perhaps that will allow me a slot for at least one of the spells you recommend.
@Eternal Drifter: I like Countryside Crusher... a lot! And I think I see where you are going with this, If I want my lands so that I can pump up one of my creatures (Ashling) at a rate of one +1/+1 for 1R, why not just play a creature that obtains +1/+1 for free and by simply tossing lands into your graveyard. Furthermore, you will ensure that your draw is never dead. I think the problem here is 1) You need the lands to continue to build your mana base so that you can cast other powerful spells. 2 As your general, Ashling will likely "get there" more easily. 3) Having the lands on your battlefield and pumped creature provides you (prima facie) with more options than having your lands in your graveyard and a pumped creature. Because, lets face it, things rarely work out as planned in EDH.
Thanks for the ideas. Looking forward to sharing results with you.
How do find Godo in this deck? I'm not sure whether to put it in mine 'cos he won't live through an ashling bomb.
I like him. He provides me with a body which can sometimes be akward when I blow ashling up and there is a repercussion on the table. But there are also times when I am able to equip a Sword of Feast and Famine or an Argentum Armor and swing... TWICE! Pew Pew.
So... I found out the other day that Ashling the Pilgrim + Basilisk Collar is a very, very evil thing. I built it into the deck and didn't even realize how well they went together. I mainly put it in there because every creature I have in my version of the deck deals direct damage somehow. I lent the deck to a friend and I was playing an Experiment Kraj tokens deck. Holy crap! My friend blew up Ashling with the collar attached and gained nearly 50 life! Luckily for me our other opponent decided to get rid of the collar and I was able to aggro out with over 100 Myr tokens! (Myr Battlesphere, Doubling Season, Spitting Image, and finally a kicked Rite of Replication over a few turns.)
