The building of this deck all started when a new group of players came about that I normally play with that all have incredibly low-power casual decks due to their limited card pools. I wanted something not as amazingly cutthroat, but still has interesting and creative synergies that aren't done to death. I already had all the dual lands for all the bant colors so I figured something within that grouping would be best, and upon looking at the database I found plenty of options that weren't done. But the jankiest idea of all wasn't attempted yet, and that was a Lord Magnus Deck that makes use of his ability to block out landwalkers. Now at first I agreed with Magnus Magicus's statement in his tribal druid build, saying “...I always try to make his landwalk-block-ability useful. I decided that's just not possible...”. But I still wanted to try, so I did some researching and realized that there are global landwalk granters, in the form of primarily Lumbering Satyr, but also in Hidden Path and Aysen Highway. Next step was granting my opponents the lands of the necessary type, which is fairly easy to accomplish in Gaea's Liege, Mystic Compass and the like. But the final part was making it so that my good Lord wasn't holding me back from attacking with unblockables. From there it was an easy step to attempt a blinking strategy utilizing things like Astral Slide. Astral Slide decks can offer great card advantage, thus making the combo easier to pull off, also allowing me to use powerful CIP abilities of creatures.
1. Lord Magnus + Blink Effect + Lumbering Satyr + Forestwalk Enabler = My Creatures are unblockable and yours aren't. From there add in effects that activate when my creatures connect and i'm golden.
Please let me know what you all think of this and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Even though this is a janky idea I would like to perfect it as much as possible to make it have a decent chance to win. This has been a fun deckbuilding exercise so far and I would like to continue to attempt to make use of "bad" generals in perhaps a series of decks.
where do you get "My creatures are unblockable and yours aren't"? concept from, Magnus just makes it so they can be blocked as though they didn't have the ability, so your creatures with forest and plainswalk can still be blocked as normal.

For an environment with casual players with low-power cardpools, your deck appears very streamlined, and I suspect to powerfull. Allthough this may just be me remembering how frustrating astral slide decks where to play against
I would cut out some search to make it less powerfull, and perhaps add a few more landwalking creatures.

Because when I blink Lord Magnus his ability to nullify plains/forestwalking doesn't exist until end of turn when he comes back into play.
As for it being too streamlined, I'm not completely certain if it is, due to the fact that when playtesting it takes a good amount of work to even get an Astral Slide out. And even when I do quite often it's not doing anything hugely strong. A simple example of the non-competitive decks in my group are simple yet strong generals, there's Uril, the Miststalker voltron, Rhys the Redeemed tokens,(using primarily saprolings), and another is Jhoira of the Ghitu goodstuff. All of these are fairly high-tier generals with non-streamlined decks, while mine is a rock-bottom tier general with a streamlined deck. Now this is all just speculation since I still have to put the deck together for my playgroup in real life so I suppose it'll have to wait a couple days to see it's effect.
Thanks a ton! I'm a big fan of your very different approaches towards all the "unusable" generals. For this one I just thought Lord Magnus was too cool a guy to only have only a tribal deck built around him. I might consider doing more challenges in deckbuilding like yourself heh :D.
BACKGROUND
The building of this deck all started when a new group of players came about that I normally play with that all have incredibly low-power casual decks due to their limited card pools. I wanted something not as amazingly cutthroat, but still has interesting and creative synergies that aren't done to death. I already had all the dual lands for all the bant colors so I figured something within that grouping would be best, and upon looking at the database I found plenty of options that weren't done. Some notable interactions...
1. Lord Magnus + Blink Effect + Lumbering Satyr + Forestwalk Enabler = My Creatures are unblockable and yours aren't. From there add in effects that activate when my creatures connect and i'm golden.
2. Astral Slide + Eternal Witness/Auramancer/Monk Idealist + One of the runes of protection = Consistent card draw. Add in the good old Fluctuator and you have a free extra draw per turn.
3. Parallax Wave + Eternal Witness/Auramancer/Monk Idealist + up to 4 other CIP creatures equals repeated activations of their abilities.
