Just like the title says. If you could pick 5 cards to outright ban without needing to justify why. What would they be. It can be for any reason, you hate the card. It hoses your deck. It is unfun. It takes to much time. You hate the art. Whatever, just make a list. Bonus points, Unban one card.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
You come up with a way to get infinite turns? Comet storm for 1,000,000 damage? etc. Nice, good job etc.
The only thing I can remember playing against that is strictly unfair and unfun is Sorin Markov. No, I shoud not lose 30 life for 6 mana (or 7? I don't remember). Magister Sphinx is in a similar boat, but I've never played against it. As for markov, I've only run into it once. That said, I do have a copy of Reverse The Sands just in case someone decides to be cute again.
I also hate land destruction, but it's rarely a problem for me...So those are probably the only 2 I'd outright ban if possible.

i've gotta disagree with everyone on Sol Ring. I use it in every EDH deck i build, and without it it'd seriously cramp my decks, it's great, yeah it allows for stupid ramp effects and some really ridiculous plays, but most of the time, that i've seen it only assists in faster games, with the ramp it provides.
As for the list,
Sundering Titan
Time Stretch (although i do use this too, it takes up time and usually is a gamewinner when it goes off, much like Emmy and Koko.)
Crypt
Magister Sphinx And Sorin *they fit in the same shell as they're both really stupid for the 10 life thing)
Most if not all Infect Creatures. The 10 life thing is annoying, imagine them not caring at all about your life total, poison is a terrible idea in EDH.
As for an Unban, Gifts Ungiven. It allows the opponents to choose what to pitch, and unless you're running straight up reanimation, it likely will hurt when they take out two of your possible wincons. Even if you get to keep two more. If Fact or Fiction is unbanned, along with that cheap version from Timespiral Truth or Tale. Why can't Gifts?
Ravarshi Kashaku, Ancient Dragon of the Darkened Realms;
The Merciless Lord of Torture, Permanently Bound To: ">[THE PACK] 11/5/63 - 11/25/09 Goodbye mom, i'll always love you...

Gifts is broken. Even I, who would adore the possibility to abuse this card in every way possible (as there are so many ways, it's ridiculous), understand that it must stay banned.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
As for an Unban, Gifts Ungiven. It allows the opponents to choose what to pitch, and unless you're running straight up reanimation, it likely will hurt when they take out two of your possible wincons.
If this is what Gifts Ungiven did, it would likely not be banned. but there are many ways to recur something from the grave. You could fetch a two card combo and Regrowth and Eternal Witness, for example, and you have the two cards you were going to combo off with. And that's just an easy case.
Honestly though, I feel like issuing some sort of errata to make cards like this fair would be slightly better than banning them. Of course, if you say exile rather than graveyard on this card, then you're going to end up with a mile long list of errata, which just makes the game harder to play without reading a rules list.
1. All "Tuck" effects. They are currently the most counter-intuitive mechanic in this format.
2. Mindslaver
3. Infect/Poison. Once again, completely counter intuitive to a format starting at 40 life. Sorin/Magister Sphinx control absurd life gain enough,. as do other similar effects/interactions. Immediately starting your opponent at 10 life whereas you start at 40 is just stupid on a ton of levels.
4. Sol Ring
5. Iona, Shield of Emeria. Format too dependent on color identity. Shutting down entire mono color decks out of 95% of there card base is too degenerate.
1. Magister Sphinx-I think it is really dumb and annoying
2. Mana Crypt-Expensive and degenerate. Isn't that why Moxen are banned?
3. Necropotence-Pretty hard to beat on turn 3.
4. Forbid-I just personally hate this card.
5. Shahrazad-No, just no.
What should not be banned-
Non-Basic land hate-There should be a reward for running more basics, and I am all for punishing greedy 5 color good-stuff decks as much as possible.
Land Destruction-Red is already the worst color, and I am for anything to make Red better.

I'd cry. That makes my Sliver Queen deck unplayable (it runs 21 basics out of 35 lands).
For me, it would be:
Tunnel Vision
Clique
Gauntlet of Power
Extraplanar Lense
Mind Over Matter
Driving Stick with Isochron Scepter.
Trinkets and Treasure: An Artificer's Toolbox.
Proc Drops: Playing with One Drops.
Deck Primer: Toshiro Umezawa
I take offense to that... (Current Warp World count: 67:D)
Anyways, as far as my list goes...
1) Rings of Brighthearth
2) Power Artifact
3) Sundering Titan
4) Forbid
5) Erayo, Soratami Ascendant
All cards that make me roll my eyes whenever I see them.
Unban:
Kokusho, the Evening Star
Also, keep Emmy banned. The game's only gotten better since it left, I don't wanna see it ruining games again... I MEAN back.
naw, ban every land card except non-mana producing ones.
thats fun
