One of the most broken cards in EDH exists in the draw engine that is Ad Nauseum. However, due to the naturally bomby nature of the format, this card can be difficult to use unless built around.
Ad Nauseum is usually one of the feuls for storm-combo in 1v1 competetive play, which kills through Tendrils of Agony storm count 15.
But that doesnt work so well for multiplayer matches. It can only kill one player before using up its gas and dying horribly. This deck seeks to overcome that minor detail in the form of one of my favorite storm cards - Astral Steel. While we're using bad storm cards, let's put them onto some of the most entertaining creatures in magic, and the butt of far too many jokes:
These are the beasts that will allow you to finish off your opponents in but one strike!
But yes, these do not have haste, and yes, you need something like 80 storm count to kill two players. That's where the rest of the deck comes in - you see, there are ways of effectively "doubling" your storm count, doublestrike!
Haste, however, doesnt work very well in black, white or blue. We look to the other colors. Red and Green! It seems we're going 5c!
So, with a Draw Engine, Kill Condition, and Colors, we begin!
I present to you - Squire Storm!
(built for 3 player matches, though you can do a fourth if you loop well enough)
(notes on mana base - LennonMarx has an excellent 1v1 Storm list that has a fairly decent mana base - this deck *may* have used it. Fastbond breaks it, pity it's not allowed in MP)
Bösium Strip looks pretty good in here. It's like a yawgwill that you can cast at the beginning of comboing out. It'll certainly help with the 2x mini-tendrils plan.
Also, you can recur draw spells and cantrips during the setup phase.
Consider Raging Goblin as a (dare I say it) *substitute* for Squire. Being constantly held up as an example of a terrible card that new players think is good is probably more embarrassing than Squire's pure badness.
Alternately, use some actual Atogs. Then you can legitimately claim it is an Atog deck.
Use Twisted Image instead of Double Cleave. You end up with a 40/80 dude, right? Why not 80/40?
Use Remand! Remand your own tendrils, then tendrils again! Remand disruption, gamebreakers, and more! If you typically have extra mana when finishing the combo, then cut Assault Strobe and just Remand Astral Steel.

for more storming goodness, take a leaf out of other storm decks: Mind's Desire spelljack
While both would be a hefty hit on the ad nauseam, they both will do insane things in the deck. Each one will be worth its weight and then some in the hit you take. (assuming you don't kill yourself).
For a triple hit Seize the day would work well to take out multiple opponents.
so.... wait... storm crow is actually winning the game in this? like, actually? as in, not in some made up scenario where the player with all three Eldrazi scoops to you playing storm crow. you're ACTUALLY winning with it. that's it, this wins best deck ever made ever.
Mind's Desire is in there already - it's amazing.
I dont like Spelljack, as it costs too much for too little of an ability.
Seize the day may be inferior to Aggravated Assault, which is already in.
Apologies on the Mind's Desire, I apparently can't read late at night. Spelljack is made better with scroll rack or similar effect to put it on top of the library for Minds Desire, hardly necessary, but can have a big effect. Cheaper alternatives have already been discussed.
I would disagree with Aggravated Assault over seize the day; while aggravated assault is more repetitive, you're trying to win in one turn. Assault takes 8 mana for the first attack, and 13 for two attacks. That's a lot of mana to dedicate on one turn, especially if you're banking on surprise. If people see you drop an aggravated assault with no creatures, you lose some surprise, and may get it destroyed. Seize on the other hand gives you two immediate attacks for 7 mana, as a surprise. Since you're attacking with just 1 creature (which you are), on one turn (you are), trying to one shot several opponents, seize is far more cost effective and surprising.
That's my opinion however. I have run it in both my Vaevictus and Cromat decks, and it has delightfully been able to deliver several times over.
BTW Gaka, can we hear exactly how you arrived at Squire and Storm Crow as the optimal mix of win conditions? How did you rule out the alternatives?
This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Storm is viable, it's been proven. Infinite mana Rings of Brightheart + Top + Tendrils of Agony or Future Sight + Top + Cloud Key. It use to be an effective win condition in Sharuum.
This is the greatest idea in the world. I love storm, but in a multiplayer format it's hard to justify playing with yourself comboing off xD. However, i think i have all these cards lying around in different decks or other places. At some point in time or space i will play this deck!
Storm Entity has haste. Therefore you don't need to use another card to get it attacking the turn you drop it. It also is naturally big, meaning Astral Steel isn't of much use with it. I shall not use it o_O
My Logic is Undeniable.
Manamorphose is terrible. In the smaller formats where you can run multiples, it's better. The odds of drawing into a land is often too much, which is why the majority of my draw is D7 or "draw until you die"

How about using Future Sight + Top to fuel a storm count? This way it costs you only 1 mana per spell and it draws you a spell for every time you do it. You could even make it infinite if you wanted to drop a Cloud Key into the mix.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I think the biggest part of Manamorphose is the idea that it generates storm count for free with the added benefit of cycling and mana fixing. I wasn't suggesting it as part of your draw engine as much as part of compiling storm...for free. It basically does the same thing that Snap does for you except draws a card and fixes mana instead of bouncing a creature, since I didn't see any lands that would produce more than 1 other than Ancient Tomb and High Tide. Also with High Tide, did you consider Snowfall?
On the note of draw, what turn are you trying to go off? I think if you're trying to push this to it's fastest, both Phyrexian Arena and Dark Tutelage seem pretty slow and underwhelming in a storm deck. They net you one extra draw a turn after turn 3 and require an entire turn to get going. Phyrexian arena is always a solid card draw engine but seems lackluster when trying to fit your entire game into one turn. Same goes for tutelage. You're also missing one of the best combo draw spells, Ideas Unbound
The random miser Wrath of God also seems rather out of place in this deck. If you're concerned about blockers I think the Snap fills that to get fliers out of the way. May I also suggest Distortion Strike if you are trying to bypass blockers.
So you're not playing storm entity because it's too good? lol Maybe we can compromise on Cloud of Faeries? It enables high tide untap, free storm count, and an evasive attacker for 2. Also, no love for the red rituals?

I didnt even know snowfall existed, nice. - and i suppose i sounded like i was considering manamorphose part of the draw engine, which it is indeed not. I ran it at first, but grew to not like it, as the mana fix was unnecessary and the cycle wasn't particularly useful either... but I think i might reinclude it at some point if i ever decide to update it.
Snap's main purpose is to clear the way of any blockers should i not get or see a chance of getting a trample enabler.

Whatever turn i feel like to go off (5+, realistically). Even in a 1v1 storm deck, these are important cards. Just because the deck's purpose is to essentially draw your deck and win on the spot doesnt make it the only thing it does. Playing the deck requires sculpting a hand too, one that enables going off.
The random miser Wrath of God also seems rather out of place in this deck. If you're concerned about blockers I think the Snap fills that to get fliers out of the way. May I also suggest Distortion Strike if you are trying to bypass blockers.
It is not just for clearing blockers, but also to ensure i dont get killed by people who have seen the deck before and are likely to bumrush me early, before i get the chance to storm off. I rather like it, anyways. Of course, this deck wasn't built to be competitive, just funny.
So you're not playing storm entity because it's too good? lol Maybe we can compromise on Cloud of Faeries? It enables high tide untap, free storm count, and an evasive attacker for 2. Also, no love for the red rituals?
My attackers must have no evasion originally. How dare you suggest something like "evasion." The red rituals are really not needed. Red is not the most glorious color in the deck, and filling my pool with mostly red sucks.
I must ask where are twincast type effects, I hear they are good in any deck that plays high tide or turnabout.
In practice, they arent unless you're already winning. One turnabout is generally enough to win, and if not, i've got other means of recursion that synergize with more of the deck.
On Future-Top:
If i wanted to go with this combo, all i would need is the magus or the enchantment itself. Since it's been ages since i actually looked at the decklist, i forget why i didn't include it, but i assume i have a good reason.
