Ensnaring bridge is your best friend but can also be a useless card!
the amount of card draw you can achieve is massive, so make sure you keep your hand down, use the anvil of bogardan to get what you want and discard the draw cards. Use the draw cards if you dont get what you want to search through your library for quickest death/control. Use anvil of bogardan to get rid of what you cant cast quickly to keep your handsize down for Ensnaring bridge
or use damnation to buy some more time to cast the good stuff
If Liliana's Caress is already in play and the other player has no cards in hand and you control whats already currently in play its pretty much GG
If Liliana's Caress is not already in play - Make sure you have at least 1 or 2 cards in your hand when placing one of the killer combo cards - This means you can still search for Liliana's Caress by discarding 1 card for another, until you eventually draw one.
What this combo does is effectivley stop yours and your opponents hand growing, When ever you draw a card you have to discard one 1st to Chains of Mephistopheles, The only time you dont have to discard a card when you draw is when you draw the 1st card you normally draw every turn. But the Anvil of Bogardan will then ask you to discard a card, which means you draw 2 cards and have to discard 2 cards.
This means if the opponent has 0 cards in hand, he/she will never see a hand again. Which means all bounce cards and artifact and enchantment hate will be cancelled out if not already in play because they will go straight into the graveyard.
The Anvil of Bogardan with cards like sign in blood will make sure you can draw this combo, and the rest of the deck will keep your opponent under control by ripping apart his hand and creatures (or keep them locked down with ensnaring bridge).
When does the player usually quit or how quick can i usually kill someone?
==========================================================================
Total control usually takes place around turns 4-6 - Ripping apart the hand in the early turns 1 and 2 by killing thier key cards from the hand will slow the game down for them massivley
With multiple Anvils in play and lots of discard spells for your opponent to endure there will be alot of stuff sitting the graveyard, this is when Haunting Echoes (Side Board) comes in to play - If you cant win via damage, you can pretty much make them run out of cards before you. usually at that point, the player conceeds.
DONT FORGET!!!! Sign in Blood is not just for you, with Liliana's Caress in play and Chains of Mephistopheles you can force the player to discard 2 cards before drawing 2 cards taking 4 damage and then a further 2 damage from the spell itself causing 6 damage in total then follow up with a hymn to tourach for a further 4 damage, thats 10 damage and 4 cards for 4 swamps! or 6 damage and 2 cards for 2 swamps !
Other Notes:
This deck works well with 2-3 swamps - even when its slow on mana it does enough hand cripple to keep up with a deck with lots of land in the early game
Quick note: you have no way out of your own chains lock. If you lockdown without a caress, you could easily never get to play it. If you lock down with any nonattacking threat, you probably just killed yourself. At least add in some Dakmor Salvage. Dredge 3 for first draw, then draw for anvil (first actual draw - no chains replace), then discard dakmor. Keep the card with the only price being a little mill.
I also advocate, minimally, giving up 1 slot for a nether spirit as an alt win.
He was born for this deck. With salvage, you can get 2 cards in hand np post lock.
For inspiration/thoughts/etc, you can read up here, where monoblack is discussed, and I also give thoughts on Chains Lock + Pox.

1 Netherspirit and the Dakmor Salvage are amazing suggestions - didnt think many people were into the Chains and Anvil Combo!! Superb reply! +1
Exactly what i was looking for - Thanks - I would like to know what other things you had ideas on when playing with chains
This deck actually started out with underworld dreams instead of chains, but chains works so much better - i tend to play chains usually leaving one card in my hand to circulate to find the megrim, making sure the player has zero cards. its not hard getting the player to zero cards usually, once duress and hymn to tourach go into their hands, the player usually craps himself and lays out everything in fear of discarding it, only to be then hit by chains -
Dakmor Salvage will definatley make it into this deck

With Anvil of Bogardan in play opponents are likley to keep all the good cards in hand, so play duress or thoughtseize on them
[EDIT]
Changed underworld dreams to Chains of Mephistopheles to stop card draw altogether

How to use
==========
1. The Killer Combo: No Card Draw (No more cards for you)
Chains of Mephistopheles + Anvil of Bogardan
If Liliana's Caress is already in play and the other player has no cards in hand and you control whats already currently in play its pretty much GG
If Liliana's Caress is not already in play - Make sure you have at least 1 or 2 cards in your hand when placing one of the killer combo cards - This means you can still search for Liliana's Caress by discarding 1 card for another, until you eventually draw one.

If you want to be extra evil in classic games just add 4x mind twist instead of duress or thoughtseize
