Chandra's Phoenix1RR
Creatuer - Phoenix (R)
Flying
Haste
Whenever an opponent is dealt damage by a red instant or sorcery spell you control or by a red planeswalker you control, return Chandra's Phoenix from your graveyard to your hand.
2/2
Sorin and Gideon's only been printed once. They might still have new versions of Chandra, Garruk and Jace, as those 3 have been reprinted umpteen times.
I can't believe anyone is excited about this card. It is absolutely unplayable. I wouldn't even play her in LIMITED. Easily the worst walker printed since the green elf one. Absolutely terrible.
I think "dies" looks silly, but I'll probably get used to it. I'm sure many people will absolutely hate it, though.
Then again, I also think "Hexproof" is rather silly. It works better as a keyword than "Trollshroud" might, but it doesn't quite mesh with the grammatical rules suggested by other keywords. You can say a creature has flying, that a creature has haste - those nearly make grammatical sense. But saying a creature has hexproof doesn't mesh at all with English grammar and sounds off relative to other keywords.
So, they finally ponied up and printed trollshroud with a keyword, now hopefully i'll finally get to stop listening to people calling it that... hopefully. and Dies, like, YUS! finally, i've been saying that for years, and now its actually on a card! YAAY!!!! So Sorin's card is the original, no redos there... smart move in my opinion.

GENERATION 15: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig and add 1 to the generation.

I agree that right now both look awkward, but I'll get used to them. Really, everybody already says "When X dies" anyway, and you would say "This creature is Hexproof" as opposed to saying it has Hexproof.
gideon has been shown with the m12 emblem on the video introduction I'm certain that the other 3 will be new cards tho as they stated no lorwyn P.walkers will be returning and I doubt with all the want for ban of jace that they will have him be mindsculptor
I'm surprised that they changed the terminology in a way that actually truncates text and saves space, and a great deal of it at that. It's quite unlike that other terminology change.

It sounds more like a characteristic than an ability (a creature "is indestructible" or "is unblockable" or... is Hexproof.) I also think "dies" looks goofy, but I already use that terminology anyway, so I guess I can't complain too much.
Also, I wonder if this means that Shroud will be used less now. I can see that being an ability not well liked among new players, since they can't enchant, equip, or target by any means their shrouded creatures.
And I hope they do something cool with Bloodthirst, as it was one of my least favorite mechanics from Ravnica block.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
Well, Troll Shroud has a name now. I like bloodthirst being confirmed, as well as Sorin. As far as creatures "dying" now, I think it's cleaner, but will still takensome getting used to.
EDIT: Whoa, Chandra's Phoenix looks pretty sick. It looks like it might make it into RDW ( If ther is one).
However, in today's culture of Justin Bieber, Jersey Shore, and Twilight, where every song on the radio, every program on television and every site on the internet is just another monument to the pinnacle of human stupidity, it's certainly not the worst thing that people could be watching.
My knee-jerk reaction was to complain about "dies" but thinking twice I guess it make sense. Hexproof just sound funny... Feels more like Indestructible than Flying.
Chandra's Phoenix and Dungrove Elder are both really awesome Rares; Hexproof and "dies" are really cool changes (I think Hexproof makes a lot of sense, flavor-wise). Good job Wizards, you have earned 1,000 internetz. Congratulations.
The cards are nice, we will probably get an aura that gives hexproof, and I !#ate 'die', sorry, I will agree its flavourful but its going to cause confusion.

Does Bloodthirst confirm the M12 leaks are valid? I sure hope so.
Sorin basically confirms Gideon. Well played article, well played.

Wow.
Really, Wizards?
And Chandra's Phoenix... is Chandra Ablaze getting reprinted in M11? Because this gives her infinite +1s.
Also, I'm glad Sorin is being reprinted with the new player-control wording.

Oh yeah, didn't see that Sorin had the change. Good call
