Wow. Very good green creature. I'd be happy to see this guy in standard.

I like it- Withered Wretch for green decks without the more restrictive mana cost (and it gets big on its own). Plus, you can survival for it.

When, oh when are they going to make a creature that protects the graveyard??? My guess was for Skullbriar to have an ability like "Card in graveyards can't be exiled" but no. He's a Walking Grave ffs! Karador has been rendered even more unplayable because of this card.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
This is the first card from commander that I think might have some legacy applications. While it probably still doesn't make the cut.... it's quite good against dredge, KotR, goyf, and some crucible plans. Great card overall, though the recursion-ists are gonna hate it!

Ummm...if that was what Skullbriar did, he would certainly make the general in his own deck pretty crappy.

The control hosing land and storm counterspell will get more use, but its definitely a very strong bear. Good aggro sideboard, no? Lets you both hose your opponents strategy *and* put a giant undercosted fat on the board. Useless in dredge however, due to mana requirement.

maybe i'm just not thinking straight... but what is the control hosing land good against in legacy?
the storm counterspell is also pretty good (particularly in counter wars) and with there being more blue-based decks in legacy you're probably right about this one.

I refuse to argue about the card here, but he is talking about Homeward Path. There is Guilded Drake, Sower, and most common Shackles. Mono Blue usually Shackles your creature and kills you with it.
The Ooze seems cool, Idk if it will see play in Legacy. It just seems very mana intensive.

i haven't seen gilded drake, sower, or shackles played in legacy in awhile. i know what homeward path CAN hose... i just don't see it having an affect on legacy. also most decks run wastelands to mitigate the damage it could do if it ever caught on.

That's really good. It's like a hybrid of Withered Wretch and Night Soil.

Well that's likely WHY they printed it. Night Soil is secret tech for me in EDH... I think this is a nice little beastie.
