Celestial Force 5WWW
Creature - Elemental
At the beginning of each upkeep, you gain 3 life. "Wishing upon only one star seems like a failure of imagination."

I never really worry about life gain because in my decks that win through combat they usually deal 100-120 in a turn. But, I know a lot of decks that will get gummed up by this beast.
First look: lol that sucks 8 mana for a 7/7 that only gets you 3 life on your upkeep.
Second look: Wait a second it says each upkeep! Quite a bit better than I thought it was anyways, though gaining 3 life every upkeep would probably make you a big target if you're playing with more than 2 other people.
-jaw drop- I have a deck with Teneb as the general that's all about life gain, life link, what have you. I want! He needed some more beaters anyway, and this 7/7 body looks nice. Even though I usually only play 1-on-1, that's still some nice life gain. I have plenty of cards that can play around with gaining life.
This card loves those various "when you gain life, do X" cards, like Cradle of Vitality.

Quote from Fry, from Futurama »
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

Okay okay, so maybe this guy can go in with Well of Lost Dreams, but you really have to build around life gain if you want that to do anything for you.
In an eight player game, is anything good? Don't you just sit there countering combos until someone genesis waves for 42 after all the blue players tap out fighting over a bribery?
And here I thought wizards got over the whole "3 damage is equivalent to gaining 3 life" thing. Have you learned nothing from Lightning Bolt vs. Healing Salve, wizards? At least the original green one makes creatures. Here's to hoping they never print a blue one with "Draw three cards" or even "Draw a card"! That would just make me sad.
Overall, still an interesting playable card, I would say. The red one is more interesting, but then again, red needs a bit more help in EDH anyway.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
At least the original green one makes creatures. Here's to hoping they never print a blue one with "Draw three cards" or even "Draw a card"! That would just make me sad.
I think they covered that with Consecrated Sphinx otherwise they totally WOULD have printed a "Blue Force." Haha.
i dont really see the point of this, when you could just as easily run Shattered Angel unless they stop dropping lands, you're still getting the bonus, and it costs 3 less. With flying to boot.

because you can play with both and the life gain is guaranteed. (yes, that matters. if you're sitting at <10 life there's a good chance there won't be that many land drops just to help you out).
Ugh, boring card. This kind of life gain is not usually relevant, white needs more than just lifegain effects. I think this could have at least given counters to creatures, or gave protection effects, etc.

This card seems like it could work with Cradle of Vitality or Well of Lost Dreams as Galspanic pointed out. Maybe even Felidar Sovereign. Can't see much use for this guy since he has the potential to stall or lengthen a game unnecessarily.

This is in Heavenly Inferno... it's in the deck list on the other thread. Just for those who are curious.
